Summary
Oliver Banks used to chase after shadowy veins in the hopes of warning their owners of their imminent demise. His own death and acceptance of the End put a stop to all that. He had no intention of bringing someone back from the dead — much less did he know such a thing was possible — but that's exactly what he did. And Gerard Keay wasn't thrilled with that development.

Summary
Salesa, with zero experience or interest in caring for others, has little patience for Mike’s outbursts and he’s not about to fight a man who cannot stand on his own right now. So tension is high. It’s all very frustrating as Mike recuperates from his recent close call with death. But Salesa is nothing without his sharp memory and after waking during a thunderstorm, he recalls a night many years ago when Mike expressed discomfort at a bit of stormy weather.
