Shouto in a hoodie and jeans, one reusable grocery bag slung over his shoulder, turning slightly as if he’d heard someone call his name. The angle was unflattering on purpose, caught mid-step, fabric pulling just enough to suggest softness at his middle.
The headline underneath was worse.
“Pro Hero Shoto Todoroki PACKS ON THE POUNDS After Injury — Fans Ask: Has He Let Himself Go?”
Katsuki’s vision went red.
He didn’t read the comments. Didn’t have to. He knew exactly what they’d be like. He’d seen it happen to celebrities, to sidekicks, to heroes who dared to age or exist outside of combat footage.
But Shouto had read them.
Or, Shouto had gotten injured, the media gets cruel when he gains weight during recovery, and Katsuki teaches him that his body is his own - and that weight has never been a measure of love.
