Summary

In retrospect, he really shouldn't have ignored the welcome packet the Aces gave him.

omg this ride was wild. i loved multiple things about this fic, and i'll never remember them all, but in no particular order:
Joan Johnson. just... all of her. the enforcer-ness. the reveal. the costumes. the clear relationship to Goalie John Johnson of the existential weirdness and 4th wall breaking. marrying Bert, the short grumpy lawyer, at the end

how crazy is a world where it is not only that easy to get married in Vegas, but also men are constantly marrying other men unintentionally?! hockey men. fucking hilarious premise! i applaud
Kent is beyond bonkers for Britney, and dressed as Dita Von Teese in the body issue, and MARRIED JEFF TWICE, but Jeff "Swoops" Troy never once thought "I wonder if Kent could --just maybe-- be a little queer? not even once. classic.
and then, in the midst of all that crazy funny weird, you put all this perfectly real-feeling angst. Kent freaking out over Zimms. Carl is a homophobic and racist asshat. Getting traded from the team you've always wanted to play for in the place where you grew up would SUCK.
really, this was awesome and I'm so glad I found it 💜💜💜💜
