Chapter Text

October 2004

Jimin awkwardly sat down on the stool in front of the backdrop, clutching his schoolbooks close to his chest. The beta photographer in charge of taking the school photos approached the young omega. "Your turn, is it?" He asked with a friendly smile before twisting Jimin's stool, so he was at an angle. "Just sit like so…and put your books down on your lap..." He forced the preteen to lower his books before heading back to his spot. "Now look right at the camera." He glanced at Jimin's picture order form briefly before looking through his camera to make sure it was focused. "Turn just a little bit further, Jimmy."

"It's Jimin."

"Look right over here, Jimmy."

"It's Jimin!" He exclaimed right before the flash of the camera blinded him.

Jimin gasped in horror as he saw his school pictures, staring in disbelief at the grotesque creature looking up at him. His attention was ripped from the monstrosity by his best friend appearing out of nowhere, shoving a camera in his face. "Smile, Jimin."

The 13-year-old smiled for the picture before turning to his best friend. "Taehyung, please, no more pictures."

"It's your 13th birthday!" The alpha exclaimed, nudging him in the side. "We gotta document it!"

They then fell silent as a familiar group of omegas strutted down the hallway, classmates diving out of their way until they came to a stop in front of the duo. "Hi, RJ." He greeted the leader of the 'Moons', as the school had dubbed them.

"Hi, Jimin." RJ smiled at him before turning to Taehyung. "Hey, Alien, how's everything in space?" Taehyung glared at the omega, but otherwise didn't respond. "So, how'd yours come out, Park?" RJ continued, gesturing to the pictures in Jimin's hands.

Jimin quickly hugged them to his chest, refusing to let anyone else see them. "Not too good."

RJ feigned a pout. "Yeah, mine aren't so hot either." His entire posse immediately began rejecting that statement, resulting in him holding up his pictures for Jimin to see.

"God…" Jimin breathed out as he took in the model-level school pictures he had taken. "You're so photogenic!"

Taehyung leaned closer to Jimin. "I'll meet you out front."

Jimin didn't get a chance to respond as RJ cut in. "Do whatever you want, it's not like he needs a play by play." The other Moons giggled as Taehyung shot RJ a look, the alpha pushing past the omegas to exit the school building. RJ playfully waved at him before turning back to Jimin. "Can I talk to you for a sec?" He pulled the shorter omega slightly to the side. "So, I told Kim Namjoon that me and the other Moons were going to your party tonight." He stated, referring to the birthday party Jimin had invited them to in the hopes of being inducted into the group. "He said he wanted to come with."

"Really?" Jimin asked, pushing his glasses further up his nose as his eyes widened in surprise.

"Yeah…" RJ sighed dramatically. "Too bad we can't go, because we really wanted to." He glanced over his shoulder at the rest of the Moons. "Didn't we?" They all nodded, shooting Jimin apologies as RJ turned back to him. "Mr. Mok is totally up our butts with this group project proposal." He rolled his eyes. "And Namjoon is gonna come over to help us out so…I guess he can't come either."

Jimin bit his lip before responding. "I could write your report for you."

"Fabuloso!" RJ stalked off, the other Moons following as Jimin smiled brightly, hardly able to believe that the most popular omegas in school would be coming over to his house.

"I can't believe you invited those clones." Taehyung shook his head as he and Jimin walked home.

Jimin shot him a look. "They're my friends!"

"The Moons are not your friends!"

"Well, almost." Jimin rolled his eyes. "And someday, I'm gonna be a Moon."

"Do you actually think they'll turn away from the mirror long enough to include you?" Taehyung asked. "Besides, you're way cooler than they are. They're completely unoriginal."

Jimin groaned. "I don't wanna be original, Tae! I wanna be cool!"

Taehyung bit his lip, knowing he wouldn't be getting anywhere that day. "Want some Mychew?" He dug into his backpack.

"Mychew is for pups." Jimin stated, although he could feel himself already salivating at the thought of the strawberry flavored candy Taehyung always had on him.

Opening a stick, Taehyung smiled and set it in Jimin's hand. "Exactly." They both took a bite, giggling as they parted ways to go to their houses that were right next door to each other.

Jimin generously coated his lips with his favorite glittery lip gloss, the pale pink, almost nude color, matching well with his eyeliner and smokey eye that he had finally perfected after doing his makeup by himself for three hours. He then leaned back to approve of his chosen outfit: a light purple halter baby doll top with jeans and sparkly sandals.

His attention was soon captured by his TV as the music video for Rain's newest song, It's Raining, started playing. He couldn't help but rush up to his TV, sitting on his knees in front of it to stare at the beautiful specimen that was Rain. He had just leaned into press a kiss to the alpha on screen when his parents burst into the room, his father pointing a video camera at him. "Happy birthday!" The young omega jumped back, staring at his parents with wide eyes. "Tell us all about your new life as a teenager!"

His mother furrowed her eyebrows, her gaze trained on his midriff as she approached him. "Did you steal my Spanx?"

Jimin clutched at his stomach that, unfortunately, still held pup fat that he may possibly have tried to control with his mother's shapewear. "Go away!" He cried, launching himself onto his bed and burying his face in his pillow.

"Honey, what's wrong?" His dad asked, the older alpha completely oblivious to his son's struggle.

"Self-image!" His mother whisper yelled, waving her mate out of the room until he got the hint and left the two of them alone.

"It is not, Eomma!" He cried as he sat up. "Look at me!" He pinched at his chub. "This is not okay!"

His mother chuckled slightly. "Of course, it's okay! It's normal! It's realistic!"

The 13-year-old groaned. "I hate my life!"

"Just because you don't look like these omegas in BigHit Magazine doesn't mean that you're not beautiful in your own way." She gently wiped away the few stray tears on her pup's cheeks.

"I don't wanna be beautiful in my own way!" Jimin insisted. "I want to look like them!" He picked up the most recent issue of BigHit.

"Those aren't people, honey." She deadpanned. "Those are models."

Jimin rolled his eyes before reading off the title of the article the magazine happened to be open on. "30, Flirty, and Thriving. Why the 30s are the best years of your life." He sighed, looking back up at his mom. "I want to be 30."

His mother laughed. "You will be, honey, but right now, you're my beautiful 13-year-old." She lovingly pinched his cheek before leaving the room, making sure to close the door behind her.

Jimin was alone in his basement, dancing almost perfectly to H.O.T.'s Candy when Taehyung came downstairs with a big carboard box wrapped with a pink bow. He took a second to just watch the omega with a smile before making his presence known. "Happy birthday, Jimin!" He exclaimed, making Jimin jump in surprise. "This is just part one of your present." He explained, setting the box down as Jimin rushed to turn off the song. "I got something else to give you later."

"What is it?" Jimin asked, skipping back over to Taehyung and inspecting the box.

"You know how you always wanted a Barbie Dream House?" Taehyung asked, slowly opening the box for the omega. "Well…I made you your own Jimin Dream House." He removed the carboard to reveal a pink house model, completely designed and decorated to fit all of Jimin's needs and desires.

"Wow…" Jimin breathed out as he knelt in front of the house to take a closer look. "You made all this?"

Taehyung nodded, pointing to the tiny model bathroom. "There's you in your bubble bath reading your favorite magazine…" Jimin giggled, "there's your bedroom with a massive radio and every album ever made…well, the good ones…and there's that loser Rain loafing on the couch…and of course there I am to make sure the creep keeps his hands to himself." Jimin laughed again, turning to Taehyung with gleaming eyes and a bright smile. "Ooh, I almost forgot," He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pouch. "Wishing dust. This wishing dust knows what's in your heart of hearts. It'll make all your dreams come true." Jimin watched in awe as the alpha opened the pouch and poured the dust over the model house.

Their moment was soon interrupted by the doorbell ringing. "They're here!" Jimin squealed as he jumped to his feet. "I’m gonna put this away so there's room to dance." He picked up the house and carried it to the game closet as the doorbell continued to ring. Once it was placed carefully on a shelf, Jimin shut the closet door and ran to the stairs. "Put some music on!"

Once he reached the main floor of his house, Jimin spotted his dad heading to the door. "Appa, no!" He exclaimed, pushing the alpha away from the door. "You promised you were gonna stay upstairs! Go!" The alpha sighed and headed back up the stairs while Jimin fluffed his hair one last time before opening the door for the Moons. "Hi, guys!" He smiled brightly at the already bored omegas. "The party's downstairs." The omegas entered the house one by one, removing their coats and practically tossing them at Jimin. "Fabuloso…" He was about to close the door when he spotted a familiar car driving up, feeling his heart flutter as Kim Namjoon climbed out of the car with some of his friends. "Oh my god…" He breathed out, unable to tear his eyes away from the alpha until he finally reached the front door of his house. "Hi, Namjoon." The alpha nodded in acknowledgement before walking past the omega inside, his friends right behind him.

Jimin stared down at his feet in shame as everyone stared at Taehyung in disgust, the alpha dancing passionately to the smooth jazz song he had put on for the party. RJ groaned and stomped over to Jimin. "What is this?"

"I'm not sure…" Jimin answered honestly. "It's Taehyung's."

RJ rolled his eyes and crossed the room to the stereo system, removing Taehyung's CD. "Sorry, Alien," RJ shrugged when Taehyung turned to stare at him in offense. "Majority rules." He practically tossed the disc at the alpha before choosing a different CD from Jimin's collection and slipping it in the tray, a BoA song soon ringing out.

Taehyung glared at RJ before walking over to Jimin. "I'm gonna go next door and get my keyboard."

"Do whatever you want, Taehyung." Jimin replied snarkily, making Taehyung furrow his eyebrows. "It's not like I need a play by play." Everyone began to laugh at the alpha who lowered his head and rushed up the stairs. Jimin did feel a little bit guilty, but he assured himself he could apologize to Taehyung later after the party.

"I have an idea." RJ then announced. "Let's play Seven Minutes in Heaven…" He walked over to Jimin, unwrapping the scarf around his neck. "And you can go first, because you're the birthday boy."

Jimin bit his lip lightly. "How does that one go again?"

"You go in the closet…" RJ explained as he wrapped his scarf around Jimin's eyes as a makeshift blindfold, "and some lucky alpha's gonna go in there and do whatever he wants with you for seven whole minutes." He began guiding Jimin over to the game closet. "And guess who wants to go first…"

"Who?"

"Kim Namjoon." RJ whispered in Jimin's ear. Jimin let out a quiet gasp as RJ positioned him inside the closet. "Before I forget, where's our project proposal?"

"On the table." Jimin answered innocently.

RJ thanked him before slowly closing the closet door. "Remember, no peeking. Keep that blindfold on." Just before he closed the door, he added on, "Namjoon loves going for second base." He rushed to grab the paper from the table before rejoining the others. "Let's go. I think I can get my brother to buy us some beer."

Inside the closer, Jimin slowly lowered himself to the ground, wrapping his arms around his knees as he got comfortable to wait.

Back in the basement, all of the guests were snatching whatever snacks they could carry before filing up the stairs, passing by Taehyung and his keyboard on the way. "What's going on?"

"Uh…Jimin's waiting for you in the closet." RJ said before heading up the stairs with everyone else. Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows in confusion but set down his keyboard to check out the closet anyway. Sure enough, Jimin was sitting inside waiting.

At the sound of the door opening, Jimin lifted his head up and smiled. "I didn't think you were coming." Taehyung smiled softly and sat down in front of the omega, who reached out for him. "Where are you?" The alpha slowly pressed his hands against Jimin's outstretched ones, lacing their fingers together. He then slowly leaned in to press his lips to Jimin's, but was stopped when, "Oh, Namjoon~"

"It's Taehyung!" The alpha exclaimed as he sat back up in disbelief.

Jimin ripped the scarf from his eyes, staring at Taehyung in panic. "What are you doing here?" Taehyung's mouth opened, but no words came out. "Where's Namjoon?"

"H-he's gone!" Taehyung informed him. "Everybody left!"

Jimin quickly stood up, looking past Taehyung into the now empty basement. Blinking quickly to keep from crying, he turned back to Taehyung. "What did you do?"

"Nothing!"

"Yes, you did!" Jimin insisted.

"No, I just went next door to get my keyboard!"

Jimin glared at him. "Get out!" He shoved the alpha out of the closet.

"Jimin, please, just let me talk to you!"

"No!" Jimin slammed the door shut, sitting back down and curling into a ball as Taehyung continued to plead with him. "I hate you! I hate me! I hate everybody!" He screamed, pulling the scarf back over his eyes as if that would make everything better.

"Jimin, what are you talking about?!"

"I want to be 30!" Jimin yelled.

"Just let me play you this song!" Taehyung exclaimed, walking away from the door to set his keyboard up. "It'll make you feel better!"

Jimin shook his head. "I wanna be 30! 30 and flirty and thriving!" As he continued to repeat that phrase, his brand new Jimin Dream House shifted on the shelf, dumping some wishing dust on him…

Chapter Text

Jimin groaned as he shifted in his bed, the sheets feeling extra silky smooth for some reason. He never wanted to leave the heaven that was his blanket cocoon, especially since his head was pounding and stomach was churning for some reason, but all good things eventually end as Jimin rolled over and off the side of the bed, hitting the floor with a loud thud. "Ow~" He mumbled, rubbing his hip as he sat up and finally opened his eyes, finding his vision obscured by something. He fumbled his way out of his blankets and blindly crawled across the floor, still trying to wake up, until his head hit something hard. "God-" He clutched his hand to his head, his other hand pawing at the object in front of him until he found what felt like a door handle. He twisted it and pushed open the door, the hand on his head running over his face and making him realize he had a sleep mask on. He quickly pushed the mask up, revealing a very unfamiliar hallway in front of him.

"Eomma?" He called out, poking his head into the hallway and looking both ways. He then tried to stand up, having to use the doorframe to assist him as his legs were feeling quite unstable at the moment. "Eomma?" He called out again, hesitantly padding out into the hallway. "Appa?" He blinked in confusion at the unfamiliar living room he stumbled upon, trying to figure out exactly where he was. As he looked around, he caught sight of a mirror, but more importantly, he saw himself…but it wasn't himself. It was a skinny adult that had his less chubby face. He let out a scream and stumbled back, tripping over an ottoman and landing flat on his back.

He struggled to sit back up, staring at the mirror once more in confusion, hoping that if he blinked enough times, his 13-year-old, puberty ridden body would return. When it didn't, he started to feel all over his body, even pinching at his stomach to see if maybe he was wearing his mom's spanx to give the illusion of a nearly flat stomach. But no, his stomach was truly nonexistent, save for the tiny bulge from the placement of his uterus. "What is happening?" He whispered to himself, stumbling around the living room with wide eyes. "What is going on?" He flopped onto a nearby chair and put his head between his legs as he started to hyperventilate.

Once he had calmed his breathing at least a little bit, his eyes fell on a stack of mail resting on the coffee table in front of him. He quickly snatched the envelopes up and flipped through all of them, finding that they were all addressed to him, Park Jimin. He looked around the room again as he dropped the letters. "I live here…" He then spotted a rectangular object resting on the couch next to him and picked it up, looking at it in confusion.

As he held it up to his face, it suddenly lit up, confirming something called a 'face ID' before showing a bunch of tiny squares in front of a picture of Rain…well at least something was familiar. "What…" He mumbled to himself before realizing that a few of the squares were labelled as 'messages', 'phone', and 'contacts'. "Is this a cell phone?" He whispered to himself before clicking on the contacts and scrolling through until he found his father's number. He quickly clicked on it and held the supposed phone up to his ear, only to reach his dad's voicemail. "Come on, Appa." He grumbled, staring at the phone in confusion, wondering how he was supposed to leave the contacts page. He felt around the rectangular object, pressing the different buttons (and going through another bout of confusion when the phone seemingly shut off after pressing the top one on the left of it) before finding a circle button near the bottom that brought him back to the screen with the squares.

He then went to the messages, seeing a bunch of conversations with unknown names pop up until he found a recent message from his mother.

We’re about to leave for a
cruise, just in case something
possessed you to finally give
your old parents a call.

Jimin gasped. "They went on a cruise without me?!" He dropped the phone and ran his hands through his hair. "This is a dream…a really weird dream…" He started slapping his face to wake himself up as the phone began ringing, the name 'Yoongi' flashing on the screen. "I don't know any Yoongis…" Jimin muttered to himself, opting to ignore the call. As the ringing stopped, Jimin could hear the shower turn on, a sound that sent him into a complete panic.

"Hey, sweet peach?" Jimin jumped and squeaked at the deep voice that called out from the bathroom.

He looked around and grabbed the first weapon he laid his eyes on, which happened to be an umbrella resting by the front door and wielded it as he slowly approached the bathroom. "I know you're in there!" He called out. "And my parents are totally gonna be home any minute!"

The door opened and an alpha wearing nothing but a towel stepped out, causing Jimin to scream and jump back. "Sweet peach, where's the conditioner?"

Jimin stared at the alpha with wide eyes. "You're naked!" He squeaked.

"Not yet." The alpha smirked and unwrapped the towel from around his waist, causing Jimin to screech and drop the umbrella so he could cover his eyes. But it was too late. That monstrosity that was supposed to somehow fit inside of him one day was seared into his brain forever. "You can join me if you want." He turned and rushed towards the front door, only pausing long enough to grab the phone, the coat and bag resting next to the front door, and the first pair of shoes he touched on the rack. "Sweet peach!"

"No!" Jimin ran down the hall, leaving the apartment door wide open in his haste.

Just a reminder that the first iPhone did not come out until 2007, so in this universe Jimin would have never seen one before

Chapter Text

Jimin burst out of the building and let out a breath of relief, only to jump when his phone started ringing again with another call from this 'Yoongi' person. He stared at in confusion for a few seconds until, "Jimin!" He looked up to see an unfamiliar omega standing next to a car, his phone pressed to his ear and a venti Starbucks drink in his other hand. "Can you hurry up a bit, please?" He then spoke into the phone for a few seconds before realizing that Jimin wasn't moving. "Jimin, can you come over here?" Jimin stared at the omega suspiciously as he slowly made his way over, the omega still yelling at someone over the phone. "I don't care if you have to grab him by his knot, I want him in Seoul in 12 hours!" The omega handed Jimin the coffee, confusing him even more. "He needs to be at the party! Hold on a second…" He stared at Jimin expectantly. "Can you get in the car?"

"I can't get in the car." Jimin shook his head frantically. "I don't get in the car with strangers."

"Please get in the car." The omega stomped his foot a bit. "We're gonna be late."

Jimin shook his head again. "I can't get in the car. I don't know you."

"Just get in the car."

"I don't get in the car with strangers!"

"Okay, Jimin, you're being a little paranoid-yes, I am still here!" The omega groaned into the phone.

"Sweet Peach!" Jimin gasped and whirled around, seeing the naked alpha leaning out of a window and smiling down at him. "Don't make me come down there and grab you!"

Panicking, Jimin turned back to the omega on the phone. "My name is Kim Seokjin, he has my number." This Seokjin looked back at him and whispered, "Can you please just get in the car?" Jimin looked between the naked alpha and Seokjin once more. "We're going to be late!"

Deciding Seokjin was the safer of his two options, he quickly climbed into the car. "Just go away!" He shouted to the alpha as Seokjin closed the door behind him.

Once the car was heading down the streets of Seoul, Seokjin turned to Jimin and looked him over. "Honey, I know I'm your best friend and that it's casual day at work…but the sleep shorts set…are you trying out a new trend?"

"Are you really my best friend?" Jimin asked with furrowed eyebrows.

Seokjin blinked before sighing in disappointment. "You're pregnant."

Jimin shook his frantically. "No, no, god no!"

"Thank god!" Seokjin sighed in relief. "You scared me! What did you do last night?"

"That's the thing!" Jimin exclaimed with wide eyes. "Something really strange is happening! I slept in an apartment I've never seen before and there was a naked alpha in my shower and I…" He hesitated before lowering his voice to a whisper. "I saw his thingy!"

"Oh god, not his thingy." Seokjin responded flatly before leaning towards the driver's seat. "Driver, can you please pull over since we're here?"

"No, wait!" Jimin cried out as the car came to a stop. "I don't want to get out of the car!" He whined as Seokjin climbed out. "I don't think you're listening!" He groaned, forcing himself out of the car to run after Seokjin. "Please listen to me! I'm 13!"

Seokjin sighed. "Jimin if you're gonna start lying about your age, I'd go with 27-"

"No!" Jimin shook his head again. "I know it sounds strange, but some really weird dream is hap-" He was cut off by his phone ringing again, this time someone named Jungkook calling him. "Who are you?!" He practically screamed at the phone.

"God, you drink too much." Seokjin snatched the phone from Jimin's hands, answering the call and putting the phone to Jimin's ear.

"Hello?" Jimin tried to keep the panic and confusion out of his voice, but he wasn't sure he succeeded.

"Sweet Peach!"

Jimin's eyes narrowed. "You!" Seokjin stared at him like he was insane. "You put on your pants and stop calling me Sweet Peach!"

"Baby-"

"And get out of my house!" Jimin quickly ended the call before whining. "I don't know what's happening, I don't know what to do!"

Seokjin put his hands on Jimin's shoulders. "Okay, Jimin, calm down." Jimin nodded and took a deep breath. "We have a meeting in 10 minutes, okay? Now I am gonna tell you what to do. Repeat after me. I am Park Jimin, big time magazine editor."

Jimin blinked. "I am?"

"Repeat it!"

"I am Park Jimin, big time magazine editor."

Seokjin nodded in approval. "I'm a tough bitch." Jimin let out a nervous laugh, making Seokjin narrow his eyes. "Say it!"

Jimin cleared his throat. "I am a tough…bitch." He smiled with pride in himself for using such adult language.

"I'm gonna walk into that office, I'm not gonna let anyone know I'm hungover-"

"But I'm not hungover!" Actually, he might have been, considering the nausea and headache he'd had since he'd gotten up, but that wasn't the main issue at the moment. Seokjin didn't seem to care about his predicament, however, as he just stared at Jimin until he sighed and repeated him. "I'm gonna walk into that office and I'm not gonna let anyone know I’m hungover."

"Because the future of BigHit depends on me."

Jimin's eyes widened, a smile slowly spreading across his face. "BigHit?" Seokjin groaned and rolled his eyes before walking into the building they'd been standing in front of, which Jimin could now see had a big sign labeling it as BigHit Magazine.

"Good morning, Mr. Park. Good morning, Mr. Kim."

"Good morning…" Jimin leaned closer to Seokjin. "What's her name?"

Seokjin snorted as they passed the receptionist on their floor. "Who even cares?"

"Jimin!" The omega turned with wide eyes to see a beta rushing up to him with two different invitation styles presented to him. "Please don't yell at me, because it's not my fault, but they came in late from the printers and they need a decision right now." Seokjin nudged him and whispered for him to just pick one. Jimin pointed to the one in the beta's right hand. "Love it! Knew it! Genius!"

An older omega appeared as the beta ran off. "PSY is on the phone, he wants a decision now."

"I…" Jimin panicked but was thankfully saved from having to answer as a different alpha who looked kind of like a cat called out to him and Seokjin.

"There's my dynamic duo!" The alpha clapped his hands together. "I trust my executive editors are late again because they were out promoting us at all the right parties."

"You got it, Yoongi."

Jimin's eyes widened in realization. "Yoongi…are you my boss?"

"That's right, baby. Who's your daddy?"

"Park Yongsun." Jimin answered innocently, making both Seokjin and Yoongi stare at him.

Chapter Text

Jimin and Seokjin settled into their sits at the meeting table. "Two words for you…" The alpha on the other side of Seokjin whispered. "Summer, St. Barts."

Seokjin raised an eyebrow at him. "You're not gonna go to Fire Island this summer?"

"Are you insinuating that I'm gay?"

Jimin clicked his pen to get ready to take notes, writing his name in the top right corner of the paper just like his teachers had drilled in him from the beginning of his school career. The sound of something ripping caught his and everyone else's attention, making him look up to see Yoongi ripping apart a magazine entitled 'YG'. What's YG? Jimin thought to himself, wondering why the name seemed somewhat familiar as the female omega from before that had asked about PSY appeared and set a pastry in front of him.

"Is there anything else you need from me, Mr. Park?"

Jimin blinked, looking around the room before turning back to her. "You mean like a favor?"

"…sure. Like a favor."

"Actually, I do need to find this alpha…" Jimin hummed to himself as he hastily scribbled down Taehyung's name and house phone number.

Yoongi clapped his hands to get their attention. "Seulgi, can you please leave us." Seulgi quickly apologized and hurried out of the room, but not without being hit in the back of the head by the paper with Taehyung's name and number that Jimin had crumpled into a ball. As Jimin tried to gesture for her to pick it up, he fell out of his chair.

Seokjin sighed, turning to their coworkers. "Jimin's a little hungover today."

Everyone nodded in understanding as Jimin returned to his chair, Yoongi clearing his throat to officially start the meeting. He gestured to the bulletin board behind him labeled 'Wall of Shame', showing the past seven months of nearly identical magazine covers from BigHit and this YG, adding the cover of the newest edition that the alpha had just ripped with an aggressive stab of a thumbtack. "I wonder which one the housemate will go for. The 10th secret or the 11th one." Jimin raised his hand to be called on to answer, then saw Seokjin shaking his head at him. "That's seven months in a row now they've scooped us. It's almost like they've got YG cams hidden in all our walls.

"Yoongi," Seokjin spoke up, "we're creating new passwords, we're putting extra firewalls up on all the computers…I mean, Jimin even fired Hyunjoo yesterday."
Jimin's eyes widened as Yoongi's gaze set on him. "Did you?" The omega opened his mouth, but no words came out. "Good. I guarantee you she has friends at YG. She was always taken notes."

"She was a secretary." Seokjin reminded the alpha.

"Whatever." Yoongi waved him off. "Our party tonight is now huge. We need to make an unequivocal statement that BigHit is still hot and happening. We need a newsstand circ analysis done immediately. I also strongly suggest we take apart our FOB, overhaul the BOB, think about new heads, decks, and slugs. Jimin, what do you think?"

Jimin blinked, not understanding anything the alpha had just said. "Uh…can I go to the bathroom?"

Jimin roamed around the floor until he finally found an office with his name on the door. He hurried inside and closed the door behind him, leaning against it as he let out the breath he'd been holding in pretty much all morning. His sight then fell on the opposite wall that was covered in pictures, including one of him and the naked alpha. "What…" He continued looking over the pictures, eyes widening at the signed picture of BoA with a message saying that they should get drinks again some time. "I'm friends with BoA!" He gasped, feeling like he could faint.

But he couldn't as someone knocked on the door. He slowly walked over and opened the door just enough to see Seulgi standing there. "Here are your messages," she handed him a piece of paper, "and this morning your mother called from Barbados-"

"My mom called?!" Jimin's eyes widened. "I wish you'd told me!" He pouted.

Seulgi blinked. "I-I'm sorry, Mr. Park. I thought you said to never bother you with family calls."

"I did?" Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "I said that?"

"Please don't fire me." Seulgi pleaded.

"No, I won't." Jimin assured her. "It's not your fault, I just…I forgot that I said that. Next time my mom calls, will you please let me know?"

Seulgi nodded before pulling out another piece of paper. "I have that information you asked for."

"Taehyung!" Jimin exclaimed, yanking Seulgi inside the office and quickly closing the door again.

"Oh, um," Seulgi cleared her throat. "The phone number you gave me was his parents'.  I told them that I worked for a credit card company and that he is in a lot of trouble."

Jimin's eyes widened. "You lied to Taehyung's parents?!"

The smile Seulgi had procured dropped as Jimin took the paper from him. "He lives in Gangnam." Jimin barely heard her as he scanned the address written on the paper before grabbing his bag and rushing out of the office. "Should I cancel your 2:30 meeting?!"

Jimin pressed the buzzer to Taehyung's apartment, soon hearing a voice calling out from the speaker. "Hello?"

"Hi, this is Jimin, and I'm looking for Taehyung!" Jimin exclaimed frantically, his heart pounding. "I don't know if you're the right Taehyung, but if your favorite shirt is the gray velour one, then I need to speak to you right now…please." He bit his lip as he waited for a response.

"Hello?" The person asked again. "I got none of that. If you're here from Kkochi Kkojhyeo, ring twice. If not, I really don't want it." Jimin was already pressing the buzzer twice before the man had even finished speaking. The door next to him then buzzed loudly as it unlocked, and he didn’t hesitate to run inside, desperate to see if this actually was his best friend.

Chapter Text

Jimin pounded on the door until it finally opened, revealing an alpha that looked barely anything like his best friend…except for his eyes. The same friendly, warm eyes that had always filled Jimin with a sense of comfort were now raking over him in confusion. "You're not lamb skewers…"

"Taehyung?" Jimin asked quietly.

The alpha furrowed his eyebrows a bit. "…yeah…"

Jimin let out a sigh of relief, a tiny laugh escaping. "You're so tall!" He exclaimed. "And so different!"

"…yeah…"

A small frown appeared on the omega's face. "You don't know me? That's so weird because you were there yesterday…but it wasn't really yesterday because I'm not 13 anymore-"

"Jimin?"

The omega looked up with wide eyes. "Yes!"

"Park Jimin?"

Jimin nodded excitedly. "It's me, Taehyung!"

Taehyung hummed before closing the door. Jimin blinked at it in shock, wondering if he should try knocking again or cry, but then he heard the chain lock being undone and Taehyung opened the door again. "Hey-"

"Tae!" Jimin practically lunged at the alpha, holding him as tightly as possible.

"Come on in." Taehyung offered, but Jimin chose to hug the alpha for just a little bit longer before looking around his apartment.

The first thing Jimin saw were some framed photographs that were obviously professionally done. "You still take pictures?"

"Yeah, it, you know, pays the bills." Taehyung slid his hands into his pockets as he watched Jimin explore his living space. "So, uh, Jimin…what are you doing here?"

"Tae, I told you!" Jimin exclaimed. "Something really weird is happening! Yesterday was my 13th birthday, and then today, I woke up and I'm now this." He gestured to himself. "And you're that!" He then gestured towards Taehyung.

Taehyung blinked. "Are you high?" Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "Have you been smoking pot? Doing X? Falling into a K-hole? Doing any kind of drugs?"

"No!" Jimin stared at his best friend in disbelief, wondering how he could ever think that of him. "I was sitting in my closet and I…I skipped everything! Taehyung, it's like a weird dream! I can't remember my life! You need to help me remember my life!"

"Me?" Jimin nodded. "I can't do that."

The omega tilted his head. "Why not?"

Taehyung let out a small scoff. "I don't know anything about you. I haven't seen you since high school.

Jimin blinked. "What?"

The alpha sighed before saying, "We're not friends anymore, Jimin."

"But…Tae…you're my best friend!"

"No." Taehyung shook his head.

"Oh…" Jimin nodded, his breathing becoming more shallow as he looked around the room in a panic.

"Hey, it's okay." Taehyung said softly, sending out calming pheromones as Jimin began tugging at his coat.

"Is it hot in here?" The omega asked as he struggled to get enough air into his lungs.

Taehyung took a few steps closer to him just in case he fainted. "I can open a window."

Jimin nodded erratically. "I think I need some fresh air-"

"Fresh air."

"-and a glass of water-"

"I can get you some water."

"-and a fluffy pillow."

Taehyung nodded, guiding Jimin to sit on the couch. "Just sit here and I'll get you a glass of water. Do you want ice?'

"I WANT A FLUFFY PILLOW!" Jimin snapped, hugging his bag to his chest.

"Fluffy pillow coming right up." Taehyung assured him as he rushed out of the room.

Jimin sat on a bench just outside Taehyung's building, clutching the fluffiest pillow Taehyung could find to himself while chugging a glass of water. "You alright?" Jimin didn't respond, just looked at Taehyung over his glass. "Jimin, I think you should go back to your apartment. I'll help you find it."

The omega slowly lowered his glass, taking his time swallowing the last of the water before nodding.

"Our lives went in completely opposite directions." Taehyung informed Jimin as they walked down the street. "We went to different colleges, different careers…'

"What about Christmas?" Jimin asked, hurt that his best friend seemingly wanted nothing to do with him. "Didn't you want to see me then?"

Taehyung bit his lip. "Uh…I think I saw you through a frosted window once six years ago…"

Jimin blinked. "Six years ago?" Taehyung nodded. "What about last Christmas? Was I not home then?"

"I don't know." Taehyung shrugged. "Doesn't your crowd do St. Barts for Christmas?" They slowed down in front of an apartment building that the omega recognized. "Is this you?"

"Yeah…" Jimin sighed. "This is where I live now."

Taehyung nodded as Jimin obviously stalled going inside. "Nice seeing you." Jimin looked at him with wide, pleading eyes. "Good luck."

Jimin quietly thanked him and Taehyung gave him a parting smile before walking off. He only made it a few steps before Jimin called out to him again. "Who is St. Bart?" And it was with that question that Taehyung realized that he couldn't leave Jimin to fend for himself just yet.

Jimin flipped through the pages of the yearbook Taehyung had dug out for him. "The most depressing years of my life." The alpha informed him.

The omega stopped flipping as he spotted a picture of himself with a group of familiar omegas. "Taehyung, I was a Moon?"

"Oh, yeah." Taehyung nodded. "You were practically the leader."

Jimin couldn't help the smile that appeared on his face knowing that one of his dreams had come true. "I wonder what happened to RJ…" He thought out loud.

"Last I heard, you guys were still pretty good friends." Taehyung informed him. "I think you even work together."

"Seokjin!" Jimin exclaimed in realization. "He's Kim Seokjin…he's even more handsome now…" He flipped through a few more pages before gasping. "I was the prom queen!" Taehyung hummed in confirmation as Jimin gasped again. "I went with Kim Namjoon!" Taehyung hummed again. "This is amazing! I can't believe it!" Jimin laughed in disbelief. "I got everything I ever wanted!"

"Yeah, Jimin…" Taehyung sighed. "You got it all…congratulations…"

Jimin's learning time was interrupted by his phone ringing. "Hello?"

"Hi, this is Yoo Seungmin confirming your limousine pickup for 8:30 this evening."

The omega's eyes widened. "Y-yes, my limousine for 8:30. I will be most prepared to take my ride at that time…can you tell me where I'm going?"

"Yes, sir, you'll be going to Persona in Itaewon."

Jimin thanked him and ended the call before squealing. "I'm going to a party in a limo!" He jumped around in excitement.

Taehyung forced out a chuckle. "Looks like you're back to your old self, Minnie. I should probably go."

"You don't wanna go to the party?" Jimin tilted his head.

"I gotta work." Taehyung informed him as he headed towards the door.

"Right, I forgot you have a job." Jimin pouted briefly before smiling again. "Isn't it so cool that we both have jobs?" Taehyung hummed in response. "Well, if you change your mind, you should definitely come. It's gonna be really fun. Persona in Itaewon."

"Sounds great." He opened the door, bidding the omega goodbye.

"Wait, Taehyung." Jimin hurried over to him before he could leave. "What if this isn't just a dream? What if what I wished for actually happened?"

The alpha shrugged. "Then you got everything you ever wanted. Might as well enjoy it." Taehyung gave him a small smile before finally leaving.

Chapter Text

Jimin sighed in content as he wrapped a fluffy robe around himself, exiting his now steam filled luxurious bathroom. Squealing in excitement, Jimin sat down in front of his expansive vanity and ran his finger over his makeup options before choosing his look for that night, going for a sparkly, silver eyeshadow and soft pink lips. He then blow-dried his hair, setting it perfectly messy waves before deeming himself ready from the neck up.

He skipped over to his walk-in closet, admiring every brand name item he spotted. Nearly fainting at the Chanel and Gucci options he owned. His gaze then fell on an organized selection of lingerie, eyes widening at the thought of one of those strings being up his ass for the night. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like he had much of a choice after searching through the underwear, so he eventually sucked it up and slipped on a white lacy thong before turning back to the rest of his closet. After nearly an hour of searching, he finally settled on a pair of light washed skinny jeans, which he saw as vintage considering the last time they had been in fashion to his knowledge had been long before he was born--one of the downsides to jumping 17 years into the future he guessed--but he assumed they must have been back in mainstream fashion since he had at least a dozen pairs hanging up. He then paired them with a loose white shirt and a glittery, tweed Chanel--squeak--jacket, topping the look with a pair of black boots.

He confidently strolled out of his apartment and to the elevator where an omega pup was already standing. "Hi." Jimin greeted as the doors closed, making the pup look at him in confusion. "I'm Jimin."

"I know." The pup nodded. "I'm Beomgyu."

"How old are you?" Jimin inquired, making Beomgyu furrow his eyebrows even more.

"13."

"Me too!" Jimin blurted out before quickly clearing his throat. "Used to be, that is."

Beomgyu tilted his head. "Why are you talking to me?"

Now Jimin was confused. "Why wouldn't I? We're neighbors, aren't we?"

"Yeah, but you usually ignore me." Beomgyu informed him.

Jimin bit his lip, dropping his gaze to the floor where he spotted Beomgyu's sneakers. "I like your shoes."

Beomgyu smiled and thanked him. "I like your outfit."

"That's because I actually have the body to rock it now!" Jimin squealed, twirling a bit as if showing off his pup fat-less body.

The 13-year-old giggled as they exited the elevator. "I like your bag too."

"You should come by sometime." Jimin offered. "I have a gazillion of them." Beomgyu stared at him in surprise as he exited the building and entered his already waiting limo.

Jimin looked around the party in a mixture of awe and fear, accepting a few appetizers from the waiters walking around as he searched for someone he knew. He eventually spotted Seokjin leaning against the bar and ran up to him. "Hi, RJ!"

"Oh, god!" Seokjin groaned, nearly choking on his drink. "No one's called me that since I slept with Brad Pitt."

"You slept with Brad Pitt?!" Jimin's eyes widened.

"You should know, you were there too." Jimin blinked as a bartender walked up to them. "Refill please?" Seokjin requested, shaking his nearly empty glass. "Vodka and sprite."

The bartender nodded and turned to Jimin. "Lemonade please." He originally ordered but soon stopped the bartender when he realized that he was legal! He could drink! "Actually, can I get a somaek?" That was his father's favorite drink, and he had always wanted to try it every time he saw his father with one. "Do you need to see my ID? Because I totally have one." The bartender laughed and walked off.

"There you two are!" Both omegas turned to see Yoongi walking up to them. "Don't you both look gorgeous!"

"Thank you!" Jimin giggled. "What's this song that's playing? It's great!" Yoongi and Seokjin stared at Jimin as if he had grown a second head. "What?"

"Did you pregame before coming here?" Seokjin asked, Jimin shaking his head in response. "You seriously don't know who BTS is?"

"Why, are they super popular or something?"

Jimin quickly downed the last of his somaek as the bartender slid him his refill. "Thank you so much, I love you!" He gushed, already bringing the glass to his lips, needing more of the addictive taste. He turned around to see Yoongi begging some guests not to leave as Seokjin rushed up to him. "It's 11:00 on a school night and I'm at a party! Isn't this so cool!"

"No, it's not cool!" Seokjin snapped. "It's 11:00 and people are leaving! This is a disaster!"

"It is?" Jimin asked innocently as he took another sip of his drink.

Seokjin then groaned. "Speaking of disasters, what is she doing here?'

"Who?"

"YG's editor in chief, Yoo Sori." He nodded towards a female omega across the room. "And she's headed our way."

"Hello." Sori greeted them with a smirk. "Our IU issue is selling like hotteok. How's yours doing?"

Seokjin forced a smile on his face. "Oh, Sori, are things so bad you had to come to our party to eat some free food? Put some crab in your purse for later."

"You might want to keep some of that biting wit for your magazine." Sori warned. "Or maybe you could just change the name to something more appropriate, like BigShit."

Jimin narrowed his eyes at her. "You're rude and mean and sloppy and frizzy. I don't like you at all." He took another sip of his somaek.

"Lucky for you, I don't care about being liked. I care about winning." Sori pushed past the two omegas, soon being replaced by Yoongi.

"Do I smell bad?" Yoongi inquired. "Do I have bad breath? Am I malodorous in any way?" Jimin leaned in slightly to sniff at him before shaking his head. "Because people seem to be running for the exit like someone set off a giant stink bomb."

Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't smell anything."

Seokjin rolled his eyes. "He means the party stinks."

"Well maybe if you would go back to the good music." Jimin suggested, referring to the bland, noise like music that was now playing and the completely empty dance floor. "Like that BTS stuff from earlier, or anything else with even a remote hint of a melody."

"Play whatever you want." Yoongi sighed. "I just know that if people don't start dancing really soon…" He lifted his glass. "Here's to early retirement."

Jimin simply smiled at his boss and handed his drink and bag over to Seokjin before stalking over to the DJ to make a request. Soon enough, H.O.T's Candy began blasting through the speakers, catching the attention of a few people who hadn't been expecting such an old song to be played at the party. He turned around with a smile that soon fell when he noticed that nobody had come forward to dance and that Yoongi was looking close to killing himself. He swallowed back the nerves and moved to the center of the room to begin dancing as everyone turned to watch him. He then spotted a familiar alpha in the crowd, his heart racing. "Tae!" He called out, waving for him to join him. "Come here!"

Taehyung's eyes widened and he shook his head. "No, nope, I'm good."

"Get over here!" Jimin pleaded while still dancing. "Come on, Tae!"

The alpha sighed quietly before joining Jimin to dance, the crowd cheering them on as they both danced their hearts out. It didn't take long for others to join in, and before they knew, most of the party guests were dancing to the 1996 hit, even Seokjin and Yoongi.

Halfway through the song, Taehyung's smile suddenly fell, and he turned to Jimin. "I'm sorry, I have to go."

"Wait, what?" Jimin pouted. "Tae, no-"

"I'm sorry." He gave Jimin a tiny smile before leaving.

Jimin watched him go, but was soon distracted by Seokjin and Yoongi's dancing, the pair dragging him back in.

Chapter Text

Over the next few days, Jimin found himself greatly enjoying his time as a 30-year-old omega in Seoul. He got to go on shopping sprees to all of the brand name stores with his super adult credit card, he got to go on walks by the Han River while eating as much ice cream as he wanted, and he got to lie in bed with all of the junk food his mom never let him have while watching the movies he had never been allowed to watch before. Life was great.

"To being 30!" Jimin clinked his glass against Seokjin's. "It's going to be totally awesome."

Seokjin smirked. "Of course, it is. You're thin, you're hot, you can get any alpha you want, bitch!"

"Not to mention, bitch, the hottest magazine editor in the world." He threw back his shot as Seokjin scoffed in offense.

"Second hottest."

Jimin tilted his head. "Tied for first?"

"Deal." They clinked their glasses again. "Speaking of hot, Mr. BDE behind you is totally vibing with you right now."

Eyes widening, Jimin turned to look over his shoulder at the alpha in question. "He is not!" He gasped as he turned back to Seokjin. "He is so cute! Should I go talk to him?"

Seokjin shrugged. "You're not mated.

Jimin smiled, taking a deep breath before leaving his stool at the bar towards the alpha Seokjin had pointed out…and walked right past him to a 13-year-old alpha sitting at a table not much further past him. "Hi! Can I borrow that sauce?"

The alpha glanced at the bottle in confusion before holding it out. "Sure?"

"Thank you…" Jimin cleared his throat shyly. "I actually came over here because I think you're really cute."

The teenager immediately grew cocky, shamelessly raking his eyes over the older omega. "So do you wanna go out sometime?"

Before Jimin could answer, Seokjin appeared, dragging him off. "We're gonna go now! Time to go!" He smacked Jimin on the arm. "Do you want to go to jail? I was talking about that guy!" He gestured to the actual adult alpha as they walked past him.

"Ew." Jimin shuddered as Seokjin pulled him out of the restaurant.

"No more daiquiris for you tonight." Seokjin scolded, looking both ways down the street before groaning. "Can never find a taxi in this neighborhood." He shook his head and pulled out his phone and clicked on something entitled 'Uber'.

Before Jimin could ask him what that was, he spotted someone he had hoped he would never run into again. "It's the naked alpha!" He screeched, pointing across the street at the pervert.

The alpha immediately spotted him and waved at him. "Hey, beautiful!"

Jimin's eyes widened, his hand going to his chest. "He thinks I'm beautiful?"

Seokjin rolled his eyes. "He should, he's your boyfriend."

"My boyfriend?!" The alpha suddenly seemed less creepy in his eyes as he turned to smile shyly at him, a frown soon appearing as he noticed the alpha signing something for the omega he'd been talking to. "Hey, why are they asking for my boyfriend's autograph?"

Again, Seokjin stared at him as if he were an alien from outer space. "He's only the sexiest hockey player in all of Korea."

Jimin giggled before hearing someone calling his name, looking up to see another familiar alpha approaching them. "Oh my god, Tae! Hi!" He rushed over to him to give him a hug.

"How are you?" Jimin gave a small shrug, still smiling up at the alpha. "Sorry about the other night-"

"Alien?" Seokjin cut in. "Is that you?"

Taehyung sighed. "Hey, RJ, how are you?"

"You learned how to speak properly!" Seokjin crossed his arms with a small smirk. "How is everyone on your home planet gonna understand you now?"

The alpha forced out a laugh. "Good to see you too. I almost didn't recognize you. Did you get a nose job?" Seokjin nearly hissed at the alpha, but then Jimin cut in.

"I can't believe you're here! What are you doing here?"

"I'm, uh, actually doing some shopping with my, uh…" At that moment, another male omega came out of the store behind them. "Jimin, this is Hoseok, my fiance."

Jimin's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh…I'm Jimin."

Hoseok smiled at him. "Taehyung told me all about his blast from the past. It was really sweet of you to stop by."

"Taehyung's the sweet one!" Jimin insisted. "I don’t know what I would've done without him."

"I'm sure you'll be just fine." Hoseok chuckled.

"Are you a photographer too?" Jimin inquired.

Hoseok playfully rolled his eyes, nudging Taehyung. "I see you guys have talked a whole lot about me."

"Hoseok's an anchorperson." Taehyung explained.

"I do the weather for the local station in Gwangju." Hoseok elaborated, smiling at the alpha again. "We've actually been talking about Taehyung finally making the move up with me."

Jimin felt his heart drop slightly. "You're moving to Gwangju?"

"We were just-we haven't really-" He stopped, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. "Is that Jeon Jungkook?"

"Sweet Peach!" Jimin barely turned around before the naked alpha was pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Sorry I'm late." The alpha then looked at Taehyung and Hoseok. "Hi! Who are you guys?"

Jimin quickly apologized before introducing them. "This is my good friend, Taehyung, and this is his friend, Hoseok."

"Fiance." Hoseok corrected.

"Right." Jimin nodded before mumbling under his breath, "So weird." He shook his head slightly before gesturing to his alleged boyfriend. "And this is…"

Noticing his struggle, Taehyung jumped in. "You're Jeon Jungkook. Nice to meet you. You're a great player, I'm a huge fan of you."

"Thank you." Jungkook smiled sincerely at the other alpha. "You want me to sign your shirt or forehead or something? I do not do butts." He laughed before realizing that no one was joining in. "Sorry, I start cracking jokes after a win because I'm in such a good mood."

Taehyung forced out a laugh. "Well, we should get going."

Hoseok nodded in agreement. "Nice to meet you." Jungkook shared the sentiment, waving as they walked off before turning to Seokjin. "Mind if I steal him for the rest of the night?" Jimin's focus was then ripped from Taehyung's retreating back as he stared at Jungkook in surprise.

"Nope." Seokjin shrugged. "I actually had my eye on something a little better inside, so I'll see you guys later. Have a good night."

"Wait!" Jimin apologized to Jungkook before running over to Seokjin, lowering his voice to a whisper. "Should I go to his place? Alone?"

Seokjin shrugged. "Why not? Go play, you deserve it."

"Play?" Jimin blinked. "Like games and stuff?"

"Yeah…games." But from the smirk on Seokjin's face, Jimin didn't think he was talking about the same kind of games Jimin was. "All kinds of games."

"Oh…okay."

Chapter Text

Jimin was looking around Jungkook's apartment in curiosity when the alpha suddenly appeared with two glasses of red wine. The alpha set them down on the shelf that Jimin was studying in order to put his hands on the omega's shoulders, slowly pushing Jimin's jacket off. "I couldn't wait to see you tonight." He murmured.

When Jimin felt Jungkook's hot breath on his scent gland, he flinched and quickly turned to face the alpha, preventing him from kissing his neck. "You wanna play a game?" Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "Do you have Battleship?"

"Yeah, I have Battleship." Jungkook smirked a bit. "I'll show you my destroyer."

Jimin giggled in excitement before skipping to the couch. "I call the red board!"

"…then I call the blue board." Instead of grabbing the game like Jimin thought he would, Jungkook sat on the couch next to him and threw his arm around his shoulders, leaning in to nip at his earlobe. The sensation was ticklish enough to make Jimin squirm and laugh. "What?" Jungkook asked before proceeding to kiss along the omega's jaw, making Jimin squirm and laugh even more, this time in discomfort. Jungkook sat back in confusion before realization filled his features. "Oh, right, I forgot." He stood up from the couch. "I owe you a raunchy strip tease." Jimin's eyes widened at the phrase as Jungkook picked up his phone and tapped on the screen, a song Jimin didn't recognize immediately ringing throughout the apartment.

The alpha then began to dance provocatively while unbuttoning his shirt. "Crap~" Jimin whispered under his breath, looking anywhere but at the alpha, even as Jungkook's shirt came flying at him. "Gross!" He squealed as he tossed the fabric away from him, picking up a pillow to cover his eyes as Jungkook began to body roll. However, he was unable to help from glancing over the pillow every so often, only to screech when Jungkook's pants came off. "I don't wanna see that thing again!" He threw the pillow at the alpha when his fingers trailed towards his underwear. "Put it away!"

Jungkook chuckled, assuming he was being a tease as that was their normal thing, Jimin playing hard to get, and kept dancing. "Maybe we can play Monopoly!" Jimin suggested, keeping his gaze trained on the ceiling as the alpha continued to dance in his underwear. "Or Parcheesi!"

"He didn't have Battleship!" Jimin complained as he and Beomgyu left their apartment building for their respective days. "He didn't have any games!"

Beomgyu rolled his eyes. "Alphas are so stupid."

Jimin groaned. "It's even worse than you think, Beomgyu."

The pup pouted. "How come the ones that you like never like you?"

"You have to fight for what you want." Jimin informed him. "Rule number one: Love is a battlefield."

Beomgyu smiled in awe at the older omega. "Wow, that's deep."

Jimin nodded as he slipped on his sunglasses. "Good luck with fractions." He said before heading to his waiting car.

"Have fun at work!"

"57 ways to have an orgasm." One of the omega writers pitched as they waited for their meeting to begin.

Seokjin nudged her. "I didn't know there were 57."

Then an alpha spoke up with his idea. "Touch them there underwear." He cocked an eyebrow.

"He loves you, but he loves your butt." Another one pitched as Yoongi entered the room.

They soon picked up on his less than happy scent, and everyone's laughter dissipated as they waited for him to speak. "There's no easy way to say this," Yoongi sighed, "so I'm just gonna come out with it…the circs are n. Our numbers are dismal. We're below 600,000 total circulation. YG is closing in on a million. I've just got off the phone with corporate and they have dropped the R-word."

Jimin furrowed his eyebrows in confusion until another omega spoke up. "Redesign? They want to redesign BigHit?"

"Wait, wait, wait," the alpha next to Jimin then spoke. "YG copies everything we come up with, everything we do, and we have to redesign? That's complete bullshit."

Yoongi shrugged. "Either we redesign and bring up our numbers or they pull the plug."

Seokjin crossed his arms. "Yoongi, redesign is a death sentence."

"No, it's not." Everyone turned to Jimin. "It's a chance to have some fun." He looked around the room. "Let YG have all our secondhand, stale, grody ideas. We'll open up the FOB, overhaul the BOB…it's time to pull together and prove that BigHit is still here to play."

Yoongi clicked his tongue. "Well, I shall be leaving it to my dynamic duo," he looked between Jimin and Seokjin, "to come up with something utterly fabulous." He then dismissed the meeting, calling some final words out to them. "We have two weeks, four hours, and 30 minutes."

Jimin nodded and gave his boss a smile before leaving the room where he was met by Seulgi. "I have your urgent messages." She handed him a notepad, only for him to request she read them off. "Oh, uh, okay…Cho Myungsook called and wanted me to tell you, 'I can't believe you scooped my story on Jennie Kim, you backbiting little bitch. That was a new level of sleaze, even for you. I hope you die in one of your designer jackets.'"

"Oh my god, that was so mean!" Jimin gasped.

"Then Ms. Ahn called. She said, 'I hope you choke on your own bile, you pretentious, conniving snake.' Then-"

Jimin cut her off. "Maybe I should read them myself."

Seulgi nodded in agreement, handing over the notepad. "Good idea." The telephone on her desk started to ring, causing her to rush over and answer it. "Park Jimin's line."

"Put that little bitch on the phone now."

"Please, sir, don't take that tone with me. I'm just his assistant."

"Tell him to call Jihoon."

Inside Jimin's office, he read through the rest of the messages, starting with one from none other than Jungkook. "Sweet Peach, you seem uptight. Let me come over and give you my-" Jimin stopped reading with a squeak, not hesitating to rip up the note and throw it into the recycling bin. He then opened one of his folders to begin working, only for his desk phone to start ringing. "Yes?"

"Jungkook is on line 1, Mr. Park."

Jimin groaned. "Can you please tell him I'm busy?"

"…uh, okay, but he wants to know what tie would be good for dinner."

"How about in 10 zillion years?" Jimin retorted. "Ask him how that works." Seulgi agreed and Jimin hung up the phone to get back to work, but then it rang only seconds later. "Yeah?"

"I'm sorry to bother you again, Mr. Park, but Nam Seungmin is here to see you."

Jimin blinked. "Who?"

"Yeowon from the art department's mate."

The omega furrowed his eyebrows. "Oh…okay, sure." He did as much work as he could before Seulgi led the alpha into his office.

"I was just dropping off Yeowon's lunch and thought I'd say hello." Seungmin was explaining to the beta when he entered the room.

Jimin smiled as he stood up from his desk. "You brought Yeowon her lunch? That's so swe-" He was suddenly cut off by the alpha's lips on his. He froze for a few seconds, eyes wide in shock, before finally managing to push the alpha away. "What are you doing?!"

The alpha leered at him with a gaze that had his skin crawling. "What's wrong, cupcake?"

"Cupcake?!" Jimin practically screeched. "Ew! You're mated! To an omega I work with!"

"That didn't stop us from rattling some desk drawers loose last week." He stalked towards Jimin. "Now come on, lie down and take a memo." Before Seungmin could touch him, Jimin brought his leg up and kicked the alpha directly in the crotch before running out of the office.

Chapter 10: 10

Notes:

Sorry for making you wait four and a half months

Chapter Text

Jimin took deep breaths to try to keep calm as he headed towards Seokjin's office to talk about what had just happened, only to be stopped as the omega's voice flitted out to the hallway. "…I do not want Jimin to find out."

"Of course." He heard Sebin in the office with Seokjin. "God, what is up with him lately? He just seems so…lost."

Seokjin sighed. "I don't know, but I am getting so sick of having him around with this crazy new act that he has going on…you know that he was the one who stole Hyunjoo's idea and then he fired her." Jimin gasped quietly before frowning, his heart sinking and stomach churning. "I say we go ahead with our own presentation and let him fall on his ass." As Sebin laughed, Jimin turned around and walked away.

Jimin sat curled up on his couch, fuzziest blanket he owned over his lap and his favorite pillow in his arms. He clutched the pillow to his chest and looked around his apartment, which seemed so big and lonely in that moment. He craved another presence, but all he got was empty air and his lone scent lingering on the belongings scattered around. Biting his lip, he set the pillow to the side and stood up, moving to grab his shoes and coat.

Taehyung opened his door, slight surprise filling his eyes. "You're not fried chicken." He joked amusement filling his eyes until he picked up on Jimin's distressed scent.

The omega gave him a sad smile, hugging himself. "Wanna go for a walk?"

"Sure." Taehyung immediately agreed, disappearing long enough to grab his phone and keys before locking the door and leading Jimin out of the building.

They walked in silence with no specific destination in mind, Jimin using Taehyung's warm, familiar scent to calm him until he was feeling better. When he felt more like himself again, he turned to the alpha with a smile. "I still can't believe you're getting mated."

Taehyung nodded. "Two weeks."

Jimin hummed, biting his lip and playing nervously with his fingers. "Is he your soulmate?" He blurted out after a few seconds. "Hoseok?"

The alpha tilted his head a bit, his lips quirking in the adorable way they always had whenever he was thinking about something. "…I don’t know if I believe in soulmates." He eventually stated. "I think it's kind of naïve."

"Oh." Jimin said quietly with a nod. "But you get goosebumps when you're around him and butterflies?" He asked.

"Actually, no." Taehyung's admission shocked Jimin. "I haven't gotten crazy like that about an omega since high school, thank god."

The mention of high school reminded Jimin of how the two of them had supposedly gone separate ways, flaring up his distress once more. "Tae Tae," he grabbed the alpha's arm to stop him, turning so they were facing each other in the middle of the sidewalk. "What happened to us? Why didn't we stay friends?"

Taehyung was quiet for a second before shrugging, an obviously forced smile appearing on his face. "I don't know, I forgot." He turned to continue walking.

"Seriously, what happened?" Jimin asked again, falling into step with the alpha.

The alpha sighed before answering honestly. "I guess it started with your 13th birthday party. When you were in the closet playing that game--what was it called?"

"Seven Minutes in Heaven." Jimin said. "And then everyone ditched and that's the last thing I remember."

Taehyung bit his lip, glancing over at Jimin. "We don't have to get into this. It was such a long time ago that it doesn't really matter anymore."

"It matters to me." Jimin insisted, feeling the familiar burning sensation in his eyes that meant he was about to start crying. "Just tell me." He practically whispered.

The alpha studied him for a few seconds before sighing. "You came out of the closet, and I started to sing my birthday song to you and then you picked up the Dream House that I spent three weeks building for you at me and then you just…stopped being my friend. You never spoke to me again after that."

A quiet gasp left Jimin at that, the omega blinking rapidly as the tears really threatened to fall. "I'm so sorry." He said sincerely feeling one lone tear slipping down his cheek.

"It's okay, Jimin." Taehyung shrugged. "It was a long time ago. It doesn't matter-"

"Stop being so nice to me!" Jimin pleaded, sniffling quietly. "I don't deserve it. Do you know what kind of person I am now?" He could feel his cheeks growing wetter as more tears came out. "I don’t have any real friends, I did something bad with a mated alpha, I don't talk to Eomma or Appa. I'm not a nice person, and I'm not 13 anymore." He wiped his face as he turned and walked away, ignoring Taehyung calling after him.

Jimin stared up at his childhood home and took a deep breath before heading up the steps, finding the spare key in the same spot it always us--under the plant next to the door. First, he went to look at his old bedroom, feeling pain in his chest when he saw that it had been transformed into a storage room of sorts. Sighing, he left the no longer homey area and went to the basement where everything changed, comforted to see that it still looked pretty much the same as it had the last time he'd been there. Looking around, he walked across the room and opened the closet, switching on the light and closing himself inside. He sat down on the floor with his back against the shelves, wrapping his arms around his knees and closing his arms tightly as he silently wished over and over to go back. Just take him back to when he was 13 again. The longer he spent in the closet, the harder he sobbed, eventually rocking his body until he was repeatedly hitting the shelf behind him with a loud thud

He wasn't sure how much time passed, but eventually the door swung open, revealing an extremely aged version of his father's face. "Appa!" He yelled out in relief, jumping to his feet and throwing himself into his father's arms, the older alpha confused as he buried his face in his neck and scented him for comfort. "I missed you so much!"

"Minnie, baby," his mother appeared, rubbing his back with her eyebrows furrowed. "Are you alright?" Jimin just let out another quiet sob in response, holding his father even tighter.

Chapter Text

That night, Jimin's parents had set him up on the couch, but it hadn't taken long for him to make his way to their bedroom and cuddle up between them to sleep peacefully. The next morning finally gave him a long-awaited sense of normalcy as he swung his legs at the table, happily munching on the chocolate chip smiley face pancake with the strawberry mouth his mother made for him. He took a sip of the milk his mother had just set in front of him before clearing his throat. "Eomma." She hummed in response. "Do you ever wish you could go back? Like to another time?"

"I wouldn't mind giving back some of these wrinkles." She answered with a chuckle.

"Not what I meant." Jimin mumbled before taking a deep breath. "Okay, if you were given one do over, anything in your life, what would it be?"

His mother contemplated that for a bit, stirring her tea thoughtfully. "Nothing."

Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "Really?" His mother nodded. "But did you ever make a really big mistake? A huge one that could change your life? What about that?"

"Jimin…" His mother let out a quiet sigh. "I know I made a lot of mistakes, but I don't regret making any of them."

"How come?" Jimin practically whispered, feeling his eyes burning with the desire to cry yet again.

"Because if I hadn't made them, I wouldn't have learned how to make things right." His mother answered.

Jimin gave a tiny nod and turned back to his pancake. He poked at it for a bit before looking back at his mother. "I'm sorry I missed last Christmas." His mother simply smiled at him, but that was enough to help Jimin regain some of that warmth he'd been missing, the 30-year-old smiling to himself as he took another bite of his pancake.

Jimin sat at his table and flipped through his yearbook, stopping on a picture of him and Seokjin from 8th grade. This time he noticed something underneath the photo.

He flipped through a few more pages and found that almost every picture had the same caption. His brain turning with ideas, he grabbed his sticky note pad and started placing notes on various photos throughout the book.

Jimin stuck out his hand to block the elevator door from closing before ducking inside, finding Seokjin already inside, obviously having chosen to stay at the building long after their workday ended just as Jimin had. "Hi." The taller omega greeted him with a smile that Jimin couldn’t help but now notice how fake it was.

"…hey." Jimin responded a bit awkwardly.

"I was gonna stop by your office." Seokjin then said. "I actually tried to call you a lot."

Jimin hummed and tilted his head. "Interesting…because I didn't get any messages."

"Yeah, I was in a hurry." Seokjin tried to play it off. "But I did try to get a hold of you. I actually wanted to talk to you about this whole redesign thing." Jimin nodded. "I hope you don't mind but I've sort of been working on something on my own. It's really last minute." Jimin just kept nodding without responding. "I hope you don't mind."

"Oh, of course not." Jimin finally said, sending Seokjin a not so friendly smile as the elevator stopped on their floor. "Because I’m doing the same thing." He could feel Seokjin's eyes on him as he walked off the elevator and headed out of the building.

Jimin bounced his leg as he sat on a park bench, jumping up as soon as he saw Taehyung arriving with a camera bag. "Someone's got a big shoot going on." The alpha commented on all the tents set up in the park behind them.

"Yeah." Jimin nodded. "Did you bring them?"

Taehyung hummed and patted his bag, making Jimin's smile widen. The expression concerned the alpha. "What are you doing?"

"I'm hiring you." Jimin practically squealed. "Well, technically BigHit is hiring you for the week." Taehyung blinked as Jimin pulled out an envelope of money and handed it to him. Taehyung hesitantly accepted it and glanced inside, eyes nearly popping out of his head at the amount. "This is just the first half. You'll get the rest when we're finished."

Taehyung looked between Jimin and the money before scoffing out the laugh. "As much as I could use this, you don't need to do me any favors."

Jimin tilted his head and furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm asking you to do me a favor. I love your work." Taehyung let out another laugh of disbelief. "I hope you'll do this with me."

"Uh…I…" Taehyung scoffed quietly. "Jimin, I've seen your magazine, and my stuff is not your style."

The omega smiled almost mischievously. "Exactly."

Over the course of the week, Jimin and Taehyung held multiple shoots with the theme of a high school graduating class but with people of all ages. Class fair, fundraisers, prom. If it was part of a seminal high school experience, Taehyung was capturing it through his lens and Jimin was directing off to the side, laughing gleefully whenever something turned out really well. The two also grew even closer, getting back to how they had been when they were 13 as the days went by.

Once the pictures were developed, Jimin couldn't help but stare at them in awe next to Taehyung. "They're beautiful!"

"Yeah, I think they turned out pretty good." Taehyung watched Jimin study the pictures, moving some of them around as if already picturing how the layout of a magazine page. After a few seconds, Jimin turned and caught the alpha staring at him, at which point Taehyung quickly cleared his throat. "It's getting late. I should go home. It's getting…it's really late here."

"You know what I wish I had?" Jimin blurted out, completely unaware of the alpha's current state of panic. "Mychew."

Taehyung blinked. "Mychew?" He repeated. "I haven't had Mychew in 15 years."

"Remember, they're for pups." Jimin said with a slight giggle.

Chapter Text

Taehyung and Jimin giggled as they ran out of the candy store, both already chewing on the candy as they proceeded to walk down the street together. "What are you laughing about?" Jimin eventually asked after he'd calmed down.

"I don’t know." Taehyung shrugged. "Life…timing…being here with you…eating Mychew…" Jimin smiled at him. "I've had a really great time working with you this week."

"Me too." Jimin smiled again before eating another piece of candy, soon stopping in his tracks. "Tae Tae?" The alpha hummed and turned to face him. "Wanna know a secret?" Taehyung tilted his head. "You're the sweetest alpha I know."

Taehyung smiled, his cheeks flushing a light pink shade. After a few seconds, he said. "I bet I can still beat you off the jump." He took off running down the street towards the park, Jimin laughing as he ran after him.

Soon enough they arrived, and both climbed onto a swing, moving their legs as hard as they could to swing high up to the sky. "Whoever goes the furthest, the other owes a drink." Taehyung announced.

"Banana milk!"

"I see you're upping the stakes." The alpha chuckled.

Jimin nodded until his eyes lit up. "Ooh, and dinner Friday night at 8:00 to celebrate our redesign being chosen."

"Deal."

The two began counting down before launching themselves off the swing and landing right next to each other on the ground. Taehyung groaned in pain while Jimin laughed, the omega rolling over to face the alpha, not realizing how he was now pressed up against him. "You okay?"

"I should have tucked and rolled." Taehyung stated, making Jimin giggled again. "God, I'm getting old."

"No, you're not." Jimin rejected the idea as Taehyung's hand came to rest on his arm, the alpha's thumb rubbing gently across his skin. "Because that would mean that I am." Taehyung raised an eyebrow, which made Jimin pout and roll over on his back. The alpha chuckled and moved to get up but stopped as Jimin suddenly grabbed the arm that was still supporting him in his now hovered position over the omega. "You've got arm hair!" Jimin exclaimed, giggling as he ran his hand over it.

"It's never gotten that kind of reaction."

Jimin giggled again as he turned his head to look up at Taehyung, breath hitching quietly at the soft gaze the alpha held. After a few seconds, Taehyung started to lean down, and Jimin closed his eyes in preparation for when their lips met. Taehyung's kiss was gentle and loving as his lips moved against Jimin's, and the omega couldn't help but think that all the books and movies had it wrong. His first kiss was way more magical.

"It was almost like I was watching us kissing from up above." Jimin sighed as he hugged his pillow to his chest. "And then I floated home on a cloud."

The group of 13-year-old omegas at the sleepover squealed in unison. "That's so romantic!"

Jimin smiled and pulled up the sleeve of his pajama shirt to reveal the goosebumps that had appeared just from the memory of the kiss, making the pups squeal again. "Do you love him?"

"Duh!" Another pup exclaimed, making them all burst into giggles.

"When are you gonna see him again?"

Jimin bit his lip. "I actually don't know…I don't know if I can…" He looked up to see the pups staring at him in confusion. "It's complicated. It's a grown-up thing."

The pups sighed. "At least you have someone to dream about."

"Alphas don't want to talk to you when you're a metal mouth." A pup with braces pouted.

"What is with that attitude?" Jimin gasped. "We are young! Heartache to heartache we stand. Love is a battlefield." He then hooked his phone up to the Bluetooth speaker and searched up the American song he remembered his parents playing all the time, usually during their cleaning days so that he and the pups could have a dance party.

Jimin held up his sketch for the magazine layout for Seulgi and Yeongsik to see. "What do you think?"

"I think I'm gonna start reading BigHit for the first time in my life." Seulgi stated sincerely.

Jimin giggled before returning to his office with all of the photos and layouts to begin arranging them as he saw fit.

"I got a place I rent in Gangnam." Taehyung said into the phone as he added dinner with Jimin into his calendar. "That works?...alright, see you then." He ended the call and set the phone down just as his vision was stolen by a pair of hands over his eyes. The slight powdery vanilla scent now hitting his nose made him think I was Jimin. "I wasn't expecting to see you until-" He stopped as he turned around and instead saw Hoseok, realizing the vanilla scent was actually his fiancé’s favorite perfume and not Jimin's natural scent. "Hoseok…I thought you weren't coming in until tomorrow."

"What, are you expecting someone else?" Hoseok giggled before pulling Taehyung into a kiss.

"…no, of course not." Taehyung said into the kiss.

Hoseok smiled as he pulled away. "I wanna take you to lunch. Are you hungry?"

"Yeah, sure." Taehyung grabbed his jacket and began walking to the door with Hoseok. "This is…such a surprise. H-how was your flight?"

"It was good."

Once at the restaurant, Taehyung learned Hoseok's true motive for coming back a day early. "I mean, you can take pictures of vitamin bottles anywhere, and I just think that we should try to resolve this now instead of being a commuter couple during our first year of mating."

Jimin came out of his office to ask Seulgi a question but was intercepted by Yoongi. "My knot is at stake here!" The alpha exclaimed. "Corporate are twisting and squeezing like a bunch of dominatrixes on steroids, and now Seokjin is presenting his own redesign without you. Will you please tell me what is going on?"

"What is going on is that you are going to have more choices." Jimin replied.

Yoongi blinked. "With all due respect to Seokjin, I am far more anxious to know what you've been working on."

Jimin smiled. "Thank you."

"I'm not trying to compliment you; I'm trying to pressure you."

"Oh…" Jimin cleared his throat. "How long until your knot is totally done for?"

"Hopefully never." Yoongi answered with a wince. "I'm really attached to my knot."

Jimin glanced at his watch. "Can it hang on until 5:00?"

Yoongi sighed. "Jimin, you do realize that you are not yourself at the moment, right? Since when do you keep me out of the loop? I am really freaking out here."

"Jimin." Seulgi cut in. "The rest of the prints are ready."

"Yay!" Jimin clapped before rushing away. "Hang in there, Yoongi!"

The alpha groaned. "Why does no one listen to what I say?" Seulgi shrugged as Jimin called out to her, urging her to come on. "Oh, so you're invited. Good for you. I'm just the editor in chief here. That doesn't mean much."

Chapter Text

"The new and improved BigHit will explore the last frontier." Seokjin said as he presented his redesign idea. "It will go heroin chic one better. It will OD. It will kill. Cause of death? Chicness. The new BigHit will go farther than any fashion magazine ever before. It will be deadly serious. Fashion Suicide." He smirked and turned to face Yoongi. "What do you think?"

Yoongi just slowly closed Seokjin's laptop to shut off the presentation.

"How much time do we have?" Jimin asked as he and Seulgi jumped out of the cab in front of the BigHit building.

"Two minutes!"

"Great!" Jimin hurried inside and to the elevator.

Seokjin stormed out of the conference room, knocking a bowl of candy off the first desk he passed.

Jimin took a deep breath as he stood in front of everyone with his presentation boards. "I know this is different from anything we've ever done, and I know you might hate it and think I'm completely crazy, but I won't care. Even if I get fired, and I don't mean that disrespectfully. I've just realized something." He gestured to the presentation boards that were decorated with their current magazine structure. "Who are these omegas? Does anyone know? Because I don't recognize any of them." He then started taking them down, revealing what he had worked so hard on for weeks now. "I wanna see my best friend's big sister and the omegas from the soccer team, my next-door neighbor. Real omegas who are smart and pretty and happy to be who they are. These are the omegas to look up to. Let's put life back into the magazine. And fun and laughter and silliness. I think we all…I think all of us want to feel something that we've forgotten or turned our backs on. Because maybe we didn't realize how much we were leaving behind." In the corner of the room, Seulgi dabbed at her eyes with a tissue. "We need to remember what used to be good. If we don’t, we won't recognize it even if it hits us between the eyes."

It took a couple of seconds, but eventually Yoongi began applauding him. "Bravo!" The rest of the room soon followed suit, everyone cheering over the new design for BigHit Magazine. "We will present this to corporate first thing tomorrow morning." Yoongi announced before pulling Jimin into a hug. "Who is this mystery photographer?" He asked as he pulled back.

"Kim Taehyung." Jimin said with a smile.

"And how does he swing?"

Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "He doesn't play baseball."

Yoongi snorted. "No, is he gay?"

"No…wait," Jimin gasped, "you're gay? That's so cool!" Yoongi laughed brightly as if Jimin had just told a joke, and Jimin laughed with him although he was confused.

Seokjin entered Jimin's office and saw all his presentation boards. He couldn't help but go and snoop around, even going over his desk to look through the prints labeled 'Kim Taehyung'. He then started rifling through the drawers, pausing as he found a stack of envelopes from none other than YG Magazine. He pulled out the letters, jaw dropping at what he found. Shaking in anger, he pulled out his phone and looked up the number for YG before calling them. "Yes, Yoo Sori please."

Taehyung looked around the BigHit office space in confusion, searching for Jimin. He finally found the omega's office and entered it, but instead of Jimin, Seokjin was inside. "Hey, Alien." Taehyung scoffed and turned to leave, not in the mood to deal with Seokjin’s antics. "I mean, Taehyung. I'm sorry. Old habits die hard." Seokjin flashed him a smile as he turned back around.

"Whatever, is Jimin around?"

Seokjin tilted his head. "Are you here about your photos?" He stood up and slowly made his way around the desk to stand in front of the alpha.

Taehyung blinked. "No, I'm not."

The omega hummed, feigning pity for Taehyung. "Well…I guess I should just tell you that Jimin's decided to go in a different direction. With a more established photographer." Taehyung raised an eyebrow., not fully believing Seokjin, and yet the omega was so convincing. "He's actually gonna use the guy who shoots al the official photos of his alpha, so don’t take it personally. There's just a little bias. I'm sorry to be so honest with you, I think your pictures are really cute." He smiled at the alpha.

"Nice talking to you." Taehyung nodded before leaving the office.

"Taehyung!" Seokjin called out to him. "While you're here, do you wanna sign a general release? Maybe we can use your pictures in a catalog or something."

"Yeah, sure, whatever." He allowed Seokjin to lead him out of the office and to wherever they had to go to sign this general release thing, everything happening in a blur as he thought about why Jimin would possibly lie to him.

Jimin knocked on Taehyung's door with a bright smile despite how cold and wet he was from the rain that had started during his walk over. However, instead of Taehyung opened the door, it was Hoseok. "Hi."

"Jimmy, right?"

"Jimin." He corrected before clearing his throat. "I was just looking for Taehyung. I wanted to tell him some really great news about his photographs. Everybody loved them."

"That's great!" Hoseok smiled. "I'll tell him when he gets back from getting his tux."

Jimin blinked. "His tux?"

"I know right." Hoseok rolled his eyes. "Alphas, always doing everything at the last minute. Like, come on, we're getting mated tomorrow." Jimin felt his heart sink. "It's gonna be the cutest little backyard ceremony ever."

Jimin forced a smile on his face. "Congratulations."

"Thank you!" Hoseok beamed. "I'll tell Taehyung you stopped by." Jimin nodded as Hoseok bid him goodbye and closed the door. Left alone in the hallway, Jimin let his smile drop and a few tears fall as he slowly made his way to the staircase, wondering why love couldn’t be like the movies and stories. Being 30 sucked. It really did.

Chapter Text

Jimin was pacing around his office, going over his presentation, when Yoongi entered with an unreadable expression. "What?"

"The meeting's cancelled, Jimin."

"You mean…until tomorrow?"

Yoongi sighed. "It's over." Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "Seokjin took all your designs to YG." Jimin's eyes widened, and he ran a hand through his hair. "He's their new editor in chief. Your photos showed up in YG Online last night, today they're in the outdoor ads everywhere."

"He can't take Taehyung's pictures!" Jimin exclaimed. "Those belong to us!"

"He can and he has." He pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket to show to Jimin. "He got him to sign a general release."

Jimin skimmed the contract before snatching it out of the alpha's hands and storming out of his office. He went straight to Seokjin's office where his now ex best friend was packing his belongings. " You stole Taehyung's pictures!"

Seokjin hummed. "Which one would you like to be today? The pot or the kettle? If you don't mind, I'd like to be the pot…or maybe the kettle, I don't know. It doesn't really matter since they're both black."

"What are you talking about?"

"I found this in your office yesterday." Seokjin held up a letter from YG. "Does it look familiar to you? Because it has your name on it."

"You went through my things?" Jimin snatched the letter from him.

Seokjin rolled his eyes as Jimin skimmed the letter. "Oh, how horrible, how terrible, I can't believe I did it."

"What is this?" Jimin then asked. "I don't even know what this is."

"Oh, wipe that doe eyed expression off your face." Seokjin snapped. "I talked to Yoo Sori yesterday. It's okay, Jimin. I know all about your little deal."

Still confused, Jimin looked back down at the letter and read the last paragraph.

Thanks for all your great ideas. This is the best yet. You'll make a great editor in chief at YG.

"It's a sweet little deal, actually." Seokjin continued. "Editor in chief if you help them hit a million copies, so you'd give them tips. Not bad." Jimin ran a hand through his hair as he stared at the letter in disbelief. "I just wish I'd thought of it."

"Oh no."

"Oh, yes." Seokjin smirked. "And now I'm taking your job and you can stay here with the magazine that you single handedly flushed down the toilet."

Jimin threw the letter in the trash. "What about Taehyung?" He held up the general release. "What did you say to him to make him sign this?"

Seokjin hummed. "I think I may have told him that you had decided to go in a different direction, which you are now." He picked up his bag and box of belongings. "Might have said something else too, but I just can't remember." He flashed Jimin a not so friendly smile before leaving.

When Jimin left work that day, all he saw were Taehyung's pictures on every ad, whether it be on a bus or a newspaper someone was carrying as they walked past Jimin.  The sight made his heart sink…until the group picture they had taken came into view, and then Jimin new exactly what he had to do. He quickly hailed a taxi as quickly as he could and rattled off an address to the driver.

After driving for a bit, the alpha in the front seat then squinted his eyes in the rearview mirror at him. "Jimin? Park Jimin?" Jimin furrowed his eyebrows until the alpha pointed at himself. "Kim Namjoon." Jimin's eyes widened as he realized the driver did carry similar features to the dreamboat he'd had a crush on back when he was 13…just a few weeks ago. "How have you been? Are you mated? I don't see a mark…if you're not seeing anyone, I would love to get your number. We could get together."

"…yeah…" Jimin sighed and tried to focus his attention out the window.

They soon got stuck at a traffic light, and due to needing to get to his destination as soon as possible and not being able to handle Namjoon's rambling anymore, Jimin opened the door. "I'm out of here." He slammed the door shut before Namjoon could say anything and took off running, tossing his payment through the open window.

He arrived at Taehyung's parents' home in record time, trying not to stare at the 'just married' vehicle parked out front as he ran to the backyard. He soon stopped as he glanced up and spotted Taehyung through his old bedroom window. He glanced forward and saw deliverymen preparing to carry flowers into the home and he quickly intercepted one, taking the vase from him. "I'll get this." The beta didn't question him as he entered the house, using the flowers to shieled his face as he sneaked upstairs and to Taehyung's room.

He quietly opened the door and slipped inside, smiling at the alpha as he turned around and spotted him. "Hi."

Taehyung gave him a sad smile. "Hey."

Jimin took a shaky breath as tears sprung to his eyes. "I don't know what Seokjin said to you about me, but I want you to know that whoever he was talking about wasn't me.

"Uh…" Taehyung cleared his throat. "It doesn't matter what Seokjin said. I stopped trusting her after he stole my honey twists in elementary school."

The omega managed to let out a tiny giggle before growing serious again. "Taehyung, I am not the awful person that I know I was. I don't even know that person. And I'd like to believe…I have to believe that if you knew that--if in your heart you really knew that…" He sniffled a bit. "You wouldn't be getting ready to mate someone that wasn't me."

Taehyung sighed, running a hand over his face. "Jimin…I'm not gonna lie to you." Jimin bit his lip as he felt his tears threatening to spill down his face. "I have felt things over these past few weeks that I didn't know I could feel anymore." The omega nodded slightly. "But I have realized in these past few days that you just can't turn back time."

"W-why not?" Jimin asked.

"I moved on." Taehyung stated bluntly. "You moved on. We've gone down different paths for so long and we've made choices. I chose Hoseok." Jimin started backing towards the door again, feeling his cheeks growing increasingly wet. "His family is down there, and we care about each other. You don't always get the Dream House, but you get awfully close." Jimin had to look away as his tears fell even more freely. "Please don't cry, Jimin."

Jimin shook his head, wiping at his face. "I'll be fine, I promise." Taehyung watched him for a few seconds before walking over to his closet. Jimin followed him closely with his eyes as the alpha reached up to the top shelf and pulled down the Dream House, holding it out to the omega. "Tae…can I have it?" He whispered.

Taehyung tilted his head. "Promise you won't throw it at me?"

"I won't." Jimin giggled, smiling through his tears as he took the miniature house from the alpha. Taehyung continued to study him, emotion shining in his eyes. "Go so you're not late." Taehyung didn't move. "I'm truly fine, Tae. I'm crying because I'm happy." Taehyung nodded slightly, but still didn't leave the room. "I love you, Tae." Jimin whispered, his voice cracking a bit. "You're my best friend." He turned to leave but was stopped by Taehyung saying his name.

"Jimin…I've always loved you." Jimin bit his lip to hold back another sob as he left the room.

Chapter Text

Jimin sat on his porch with the Dram House just as music rang out from Taehyung's yard, and Jimin just knew Hoseok was walking down the aisle to meet the alpha. That thought had Jimin crying again as he looked over the Dream House, fixing up the pieces that had been knocked loose when he'd apparently thrown it at Taehyung. Biting his lip, he decided to try to turn back time just one last time.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before wishing to go back to when he was 13. He felt the wind picking up slightly, but what he didn't see was the leftover wishing dust being blown off the roof towards him…

Jimin opened his eyes and realized everything was black. He reached up and felt something silky around tied around his head and tugged it down, seeing that he was back inside his basement's closet. Eyes widened he continued to look around until he was able to confirm that he was, indeed, back in his beautiful, chubby, 13 year old body. He smiled brightly and stood up just as the door opened, revealing a confused looking 13 year old Taehyung. "Tae!" He exclaimed, jumping at his best friend and knocking him to the ground.

"Woah!" Taehyung landed on the ground with a thud, but wasn't able to say much else as Jimin pressed his lips to his. "Wow…" The young alpha breathed out when Jimin finally pulled away. "You really know what you're doing."

"Come on." Jimin giggled and tugged Taehyung to his feet before pulling him to the stairs, where they bumped into Seokjin.

"Forgot my scarf." Seokjin said, yanking it from around Jimin's neck.

Before Seokjin could leave, Jimin snatched the report he'd written from his hands and ripped it up. "You can be the pot and kettle all by yourself from now on, bitch." Taehyung stared at Jimin in shock as he took the alpha's hand again and tugged him all the way upstairs.

"What did you call me?!" Seokjin yelled after them but was ignored.

"We're gonna be late!" Jimin exclaimed to Taehyung.

"For what?"

"You'll see."

Jimin and Taehyung left Jimin's house hand in hand with their fresh, matching bites, smiling happily at each other as they walked down the path created by their ceremony guests to the 'just mated' car waiting for them. Before climbing in the car, Taehyung stopped Jimin so he could pull him into a passionate kiss that had their guests cheering for them. Taehyung also couldn't help but pull out his phone to snap a few selfies of them, the one where Jimin had pulled him into another kiss becoming the centerpiece of their mantle as they decorate their first home to look just like the Dream House.
