Chapter Text
Reki and Miya don't usually skate just the two of them. It wasn’t that they had any issue with the other or some underlying reason as to why they didn't, there was just always someone else with them.
Today wasn’t different than any other except for the fact that the two of them were skateboarding. Together. Alone. Which was looking to be a recipe for disaster.
“I refuse to believe you had any game. How the hell were you doing anything at fourteen?” Miya jokes, but there's something off in his tone.
“Oh well, I was like. A wild kind of teen in a skatepark. The game comes to you. You really don’t have to hunt.” Reki giggles.
“What? I'm a ‘wild kind of teen’, and I’m in skateparks all the time!” Miya replies with vigorous use of air quotes.
Reki laughs and looked at Miya like he was dumb.
“We were definitely different kinds of wild teen kiddo. I was more like hopeful, and eager, and manipulatable. And you’re like spiky, and uninterested, and informed. And you’re a camera kid too, too hard to get to.”
Reki continues to laugh. Miya wishes he'd stop.
“Camera kid? What the hell is a camera kid?” Miya asks.
“Oh, you know. Like a kid who always has somebody looking at them. Someone people would notice, ya know? Reki says matter of factly.
“Ok…” Miya replies slowly, blinking hard before speeding up, “Yeah I need an adult right now.”
“Hah? Wai- Miya stop! Where are you going?!”
Miya rolls away faster with a scoff.
