Life Is Uncertain, Eat Dessert First

Summary:

Jayce turns around, prepared to greet his lover, only to falter. There was Viktor, the love of his life, in their shared apartment (which still felt unrealistic from time to time) sitting in a chair. That wouldn’t be anything unusual, if not for the way Viktor was squeezed into the chair. Of course, he had noticed that Viktor had gained some weight, he wasn’t that oblivious, they slept in the same bed and Jayce saw Viktor naked dozens of times. Besides, it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Notes:

The title is a quote by Ernestine Ulmer.
This is a kink fic, please read the tags carefully beforehand.
Anyways, there is not a single weight gain fic in the Arcane fandom yet. And I took it upon myself to write one.
English is not my first language, in advance, I apologize for any mistakes.
I hope you enjoy.

Work Text:

“What do you want for breakfast?”
Jayce’s voice came from the kitchen where he was cooking breakfast for Viktor and himself. It has been like this since they started dating. Jayce cooking meals for both of them since he knew that Viktor is often too busy with hextech research to even consider doing something as minor as eating. Jayce, naturally, didn’t agree. He believed that a person needs proper nutrition for their body and mind to work properly. Since Viktor’s body was doing pretty bad on its own, Viktor didn’t have to help it by not eating enough. After Jayce noticed how skinny Viktor was and became in the past year, he started coaxing more food into him, in order for his body to not malfunction.

About a month into their relationship, Jayce found out about Viktor’s sweet tooth. Sweet food for breakfast was appreciated by Viktor and has quickly become the norm for them. Viktor also started eating snacks while working. He could hardly imagine so much food while living in the undercity, barely managing to escape starvation and so it went on. From often only one meal a day before they started dating to three hot meals per day alongside sweets and snacks. Naturally, Viktor started to fill out a bit, which was only good for his health. He was always too skinny with lanky limbs and a weak leg. After he started eating properly, he was no longer so skinny. His skin no longer so sickly pale had a glow to it and his eyebags became less prominent. As the days went by, healthy quickly became chubby. He wasn’t chubby per se, not yet at least, but he was definitely nearing the territory.

Chubby cheeks that looked so squishable from afar and up close alike. Little double chin that became bigger whenever he tilted his head down or to the side. His arms were also bigger, squeezing into the fabric of the academy shirt. His chest has also grown softer, now resembling little breasts that jut out embarrassingly under his shirt. Viktor’s uniform pants also didn’t quite fit in the past weeks. His thighs were thicker, rubbing together when he walked, and not having any space between them when he sat down. His ass was fatter too, pulling at the fabric of his uniform pants, and jiggling a bit when he walked. The most noticeable change on his body after the weight gain though was his stomach. More like a belly now, that had his shirts stretching over it, forming small gaps between the buttons. With his pants on, his belly was bulging over the waistband, and it was possible to grab handfuls of it.

“Hm, do we have ingredients for pancakes?” Viktor walks into the kitchen already dressed in his academy uniform and sits on the chair by the table. The chair seems smaller than before. Viktor looks down and notices the chair’s arms squeezing his love handles. The observation was unexpected, Viktor would have surely noticed if he had gained weight. He never paid close attention to his body though; he just didn’t see the need before.

They call it a happy relationship weight gain for a reason, or at least he thinks they do. But Viktor just never mentioned it. So Jayce hadn’t either, he thought maybe Viktor hadn't noticed, or didn’t care, or he was insecure about it. He would never want his lover to be insecure about anything, he was perfect the way he was. But in case Viktor hasn’t noticed his weight gain, he didn’t want to attract unnecessary attention to the difference. Besides, Jayce enjoyed the changes in his partner’s body. Enjoyed might have been a bit of an understatement. He loved them. The extra soft added to Viktor’s sharp angles. God knows the weight was only good for him. Viktor hasn't looked as healthy as he was right now in all the time they knew each other.

“Y-yeah, I think so.” Stuttered a blushing Jayce and began placing the ingredients on the counter. Making the batter was easy, practically a second language for him now. He poured the batter on a pan, listening to the sizzling and looked at Viktor curiously. He hadn’t realized before how much he liked the new softness on his lover’s body. They should probably talk about it. Find out how Viktor feels about it and maybe even how he does. They really should… when the right time comes of course. Jayce isn’t going to open a can of worms he won’t be able to close.

“Jayce, the pancake is burning.” Viktor’s heavily accented voice cut through his thoughts. He didn’t even notice when he started daydreaming. And he sure as hell didn’t notice the smoke coming from the pancake. It was ruined, he couldn't give this to Viktor. No matter, he’ll just make another with a little time delay. After a few minutes, the bowl in which the batter was, is empty and all the pancakes are cooked. “Do you want something on top of it?” Jayce questions from where’s he still standing. “Whipped cream and maple syrup please.” Jayce chuckles at Viktor’s visible eagerness, not unusual anymore when it comes to food. After the syrup is poured and the cream is sprayed on top, Jayce places the plate on the table before Viktor and kisses his temple. He himself sits down and starts on his own breakfast. He gets distracted by Viktor (because of course he does), he looks beautiful, Jayce can’t help but think. Bathed in morning sunlight, heavier than he was a few months prior, it suits him. Jayce blushes at the thought.

“Jayce, you’re staring.” Viktor’s voice pulls him from his thoughts, again, and damn it, this is getting ridiculous. He should pull himself together before he makes a complete fool of himself (if he already hasn’t, that is). Jayce internally shakes his head and wills himself to come back to the present.

“Viktor, I- uhm.” Viktor looks up at him from his breakfast. “What is it?”

“I-I, uh.” Jayce starts again, resembling a lost puppy a lot more than he probably should. “C’mon Jayce, spit it out. We don’t have all day.” Viktor sighs, annoyed but fond.

“Okay, so I-uh you, I don’t know if you noticed, probably not, otherwise you would have said something, or maybe you wouldn’t. I don’t know, but you gained some weight. Which there is nothing wrong with.” A loud exhale, and then, more hesitantly. “I-uh actually like it. I do like it a lot.” His ears were burning at the end of his confession and eyes staring at his lap, embarrassed.

For a few seconds there was only a defeating silence, which made Jayce’s shoulder tense and screw his eyes shut, afraid of what the answer might be. The answer was laughter. Not a malicious or a cruel one though, but a soft one. He snapped his head at Viktor, eyes wide with surprise and confusion. He didn’t understand why was Viktor laughing. “W-what, why are you laughing? I’m sorry if I-” Viktor cuts him off. “No, Jayce, no, you didn’t do anything wrong. The opposite actually. I was just caught off guard. And I didn't realize it until recently and I kinda like it too. So, I’m glad.” Viktor mumbled, embarrassed and avoided eye contact with Jayce. Meanwhile, Jayce is going to burst. From happiness. “I really want to kiss you right now.” Jayce blurted out. Viktor’s head snaped to look at him. “What are you waiting for then?” Their lips meet and an euphoric sensation bubbles up, pooling in their stomach. They pull apart only when they ran out of oxygen, faces flushed, being only millimeters apart from each other, panting heavily.

“So, since we both like it, we could maybe… experiment a little bit.” Jayce said. “Hm, what do you mean? How?” Viktor asked, looking at Jayce with slight confusion. “Well, maybe you could eat something and maybe I could watch and feed you too.” His cheeks dusted with pink. “I-um, sure. When would we do it? I don’t really think we have time during weekdays. Maybe we could try this weekend. We should be able to, if we do the work we have for this week quickly.” Viktor stood up and pecked Jayce on the lips. “What are you waiting for? We have a lot of work to do.”

I hope you enjoyed, comments and kudos are appreciated.
edit: I just realized that I completely forgot about Viktor's leg, so in this fic it is completely fine
