Summary
Case study: an empirical inquiry that investigates the real-life context of a single individual or group to explore the causes of underlying principles or phenomenon.
When Ambassador Sarek granted Dr. Amanda Grayson permission to conduct her research on Vulcan, she prepared herself for the uncertainty of space travel, the planet’s extreme heat, and the often-frustrating logic of its inhabitants. She did not prepare for being swept up in the rising tensions between humans and the Vulcan people.
With Vulcan undergoing a period of turmoil, Sarek and Amanda often find themselves targeted by those in the shadows. Together, they maneuver the harsh and rough terrain of Vulcan and its politics.

“I’m fine Amanda! My rapid eye movement sleep was altered by a slight parasomnia, nothing to worry about. And I can master it easily”

“You had a nightmare”

Summary
“Spock, I never thought I’d live to see the day when the first officer of the Enterprise offered to lick me to keep a handsy Ambassador off my ass, but here we are.”
-
Spock quickly finds that the new Ambassador on the Enterprise is hugely troublesome, not least of which because she won't take McCoy's "no" for an answer. He and McCoy must come to an agreement over how to protect McCoy from her advances--and thankfully for you, the reader, that agreement involves an overabundance of licking, touching, and sex.- Language:

Summary
How the hell was McCoy supposed to respond to something like that? Words like ‘treasured,’ ‘precious,’ and ‘beloved’ belonged in a trashy romance novel, not in the secret thoughts of a fucking Vulcan. Sure, ‘irascible,’ ‘pointlessly stubborn,’ and ‘possesses an unrivaled ability to disagree entirely for the purposes of his own amusement’ showed up, too. But still.
And what a ridiculous way to make feelings like that known to someone. Spock didn’t have the gall to tell him face to face, so the first chance he got, he’d thrown what was essentially a ticking time bomb at McCoy from a safe distance.
Or: Spock takes leave for a few months for family reasons, then confesses his feelings to McCoy while he’s gone in a rather roundabout way. Bones responds in kind. :)
