Chapter 1: Resistance

Summary:

Elektra's entrance to the yard ensnares the attention of a certain brake van.

Chapter Text

Lightning, raw and powerful. It struck the freight yard so suddenly, so out of the blue, some foreign energy taking hold of everyone who stood in its way. It was a strange feeling, and BV lost control of his senses for a moment, shocked by the sudden surge throughout his body.

He skated out of the way, a few new trains shuffling into the center of the yard, foreigners. Strangers to this yard, certainly. The tallest of the foursome came forward, introducing himself as Kilowatt, Elektra's security truck.

Who is Elektra?

That was his only thought as the others introduced themselves as well. They were a blur though, as BV was only focused on who this.. Elektra ...could possibly be. And why the hell had they showed up to this yard now? A late entry to the championship, Control had said. But such a grand entrance seemed to be excessive , really. Ridiculous. Over the top.

Something above them was glowing, he noticed then, at the top of the hill. Glowing an ominous red, lightning strikes emanating from its being.

Ah, Elektra. An electric train, then? Or, a Racer, specifically. BV had heard of them, trains created and commissioned for racing. New, flashy, and fancy. He'd never seen one in person though, at least not until this moment.

He would've scoffed at the big show the Racer was making, laughed at how unnecessarily extravagant it all was...

...Until he saw him, descending the hill, so gracefully, an air of elegance about him like BV had never seen before. The way he moved, it was entrancing, and BV found it extremely difficult to look away.

But he didn't want to.

Feel my magnetism, you will agree.

Begrudgingly , yes. He couldn't fight the feeling that seized him in that moment. He wanted to know more. He didn't know why, only that that was the simple fact. He wanted, no - he needed to know more. Elektra's voice consumed his being, like a siren singing in his mind, its two toned, otherworldly quality demanding his attention.

Resistance is pointless.

BV was able to get a better look at him now - his porcelain skin glowing against the stark black of his gear. Or perhaps it was shimmering on its own, he couldn't quite tell whether the lightning could be playing tricks on his eyes.

Speaking of eyes, Elektra's glowed - the same deep and disturbing crimson he'd seen before. They were terrifying. And enrapturing. The same as the rest of his being, captivating. Breaktaking. Almost ethereal, like he didn't belong in this world.

You can't ignore me, you must adore me.

It was more than just all of that, though - Elektra's pure energy dominated his body as well, taking control of his movements, pushing and pulling him every which way. Throwing him against the wind with no regard as to how he would manage on his own after being released from the Racer's invisible grasp.

It was tedious, being treated like a plaything. An object, a toy for Elektra to manipulate and throw away just as easily once he grew bored. Elektra was doing this to everyone, of course, showing off the ability that no other train possessed. BV hated it and yet, he craved it all the more. The raw energy pulsing through his veins, encircling his heart.

Wait. What?

No, that wasn't right. It wasn't love, it was obsession, a lust. A temporary hold on his being, influenced by Elektra himself. BV was certain that that's what everyone was feeling as well.

Or, rather, he convinced himself of this, lowering onto his haunches, watching. Observing.

Come closer to me.

Elektra pulled Pearl to him now, the coach hypnotized easily by his charm, his magnetism. God, BV wished that was him . Well, no. No, he actually didn't, but damn, what a perfect way to expose him in front of everyone. A proper humiliation, a tactic Elektra certainly wasn't aware of.

He never would be, of course not. Despite every basic instinct urging him to spill his deepest, darkest secrets to the electric, to strip himself bare right then and there.

I can switch and turn you on to me.

He didn't have enough time to process that emotion, not as he was forcibly pulled, along with everyone else, into a…circulation of sorts, every train in the yard aligned perfectly around Elektra.

BV made eye contact with him then, if only for a brief moment. But that one second felt like an out of body experience, his breath leaving his body. He watched his own arm raise up, along with everyone else's, in complete unison. At Elektra's command.

And then back down again, attaching to the frequency. Encircling. Chanting. A ritual he'd never partook of before this moment.

Turn me on, turn me on .

Faster and faster they turned as they chanted Elektra's name, a magic word on BV's lips that cast a spell over his own existence. Trapping him in a never ending circle of pleasure, the likes of which he'd never felt.

It was agonizing. He hated it - but he loved it all the same. Never wanting this moment to end, as if it was just him and Elektra. The moment the Racer thrusted everyone away, however, propelled them away - it was like Bee's heart had been ripped straight out of his chest.

He caught himself on a railing before nearly falling over. His legs were unbearably shaky and weak, and he could barely hold himself up. He caught his breath once more, thanking whatever higher power existed that no one else could see his face.

His flushed, intoxicated face. What had just happened? He was almost afraid, but mesmerized nonetheless.

The only coherent thought he was able to manage was who is Elektra.

He still wanted to know more.
