how to make a human fall in love with you: witches edition (without using love potions)

Summary:

In front of Jisung stood Minho, in all her ethereal glory. She looked so pretty. So pretty that Jisung short-circuited for a second before rushing over to jump into her arms.

“Baby! I missed you~” Jisung squealed in excitement as she squeezed Minho.

She picked Minho up off the ground and spun around with her. Minho’s giggles filled up the apartment as she asked Jisung to let her down. She tried to wrestle her way out of Jisung’s grip but the younger was relentless, looking at Minho with a big gummy smile.

Times like these made Minho either want to squeeze the hell out of those fluffy cheeks or roll her eyes at the younger’s stubbornness. “Stop crushing me you gorilla,” Minho groaned.

“Only yours,” Jisung giggled. Still holding Minho up, she went in for a kiss.

Work Text:

Han Jisung was nervous. And what she did when she was nervous was... usually stupid. She paced around her shop making sure everything was in its place. She cant risk having the wrong herbs next to each other or who knows what’ll happen. Of course, nothing was out of place and it was just Jisung trying to get her mind off tonight.

After a long while of making sure each jar is placed at the right spot, all the herbs sorted, her alarm rings.

‘1 HOUR TILL BIG DATE!!!’ the phone screen blared. Her eyes widened in an almost comical manner as she rushed to her apartment that was just above her shop.

She thanked her past self for deciding on an outfit beforehand. She puts it on quickly. It wasn’t anything too fancy, just a pair of jeans, and her overcoat that she usually wears for dates. She puts on light makeup and checks the entire thing in front of the mirror.

After she's satisfied with her appearance, she makes her way downstairs to the kitchen behind the shop. Well, it was a kitchen, but now it's where Jisung makes her potions. She checked on the time, there were only 15 minutes left, and she moved around quicker.

She only started making the potion to teleport now. Minho lived far away from her house, which was originally surprising because her shop was right in front of Jisung’s. It was how they became friends(at first). Minho was setting up her new sports shop when Jisung decided to help her. Jisung was shocked at first when she found out Minho wasn’t a witch as most of the neighborhood were witches. Aside from the initial shock they got close and after a while, Minho asked Jisung out and she was more than happy to comply.

Now it was 6 months into their relationship, and she was going to ask Minho to move in with her. 'Is it too soon?' Jisung questioned herself, ‘Would it make Minho uncomfortable? What if she only says yes because she doesn’t want to disappoint me and not actually move in with me— no, Minho always speaks her mind, she’s not like that.’

Even if Jisung tried to calm down, she couldn’t, her mind raced. The potion was almost ready so she just added the last few ingredients and grind them together until it formed a paste. She opened the refrigerator where she usually stocks all her ingredients that can not be kept outside. Jisung picked up a vial of a cat’s tear and puts one drop into the paste. She quickly mixed it together and ate the paste alongside a tortilla chip (she always thought eating the potion alone was weird so she has all her potions alongside something to eat). She visualized Minho’s apartment and the next thing she knew she was there.

In front of Jisung stood Minho, in all her ethereal glory. Her hair cascaded down her back, face in a (cute) frown as she looked into her pantry.

“Only if you put me down you touch-starved human being.” Minho dodged the kiss with enough force to knock Jisung off balance.

“Oh no,” Jisung realized a little too late that they were heading straight for the ground. In a fraction of a second, she placed a firm grip on the small of Minho’s back and used the other hand to break one of the charms on her bracelet. The charm cushioned their landing slowly lowering them down to the ground.

“Aw my knight in shining armor,” Minho cooed, leaning down to give the younger a peck and she rolled out of her grasp, laying beside her on the floor.

“Don’t act like you didn’t just plan for that to happen,” Jisung glared through the corner of her eyes, “now I have to remake that charm.”

“Surprisingly, I didn’t plan it this time. It was a mere coincidence that you had to suffer this tragic fate.” Minho got up on her feet and smiled at Jisung.

She held her hand out towards the younger to help her up and Jisung graciously accepted it. Now that they both were on two feet and didn't seem to be inflicting any sort of damage on the other, they grabbed their things and headed out.

Being a Witch has its benefits, like teleporting yourself to your destination and not having to worry about humane things like traffic. Minho, the human, didn’t like teleportation. She tried it once and she never let Jisung teleport her again.

Before they dated, Jisung found out Minho wasn’t a witch but instead a normal human. When she found out she became ecstatic to show her all the marvelous things you could do with magic. Every day she’d go over to Minho’s shop and show her a new spell she’d never seen before. Jisung would let her even try most of them, the younger always found every single reaction absolutely adorable. Although at that time she never told Minho directly about how cute she was every time Jisung saw her.

On one particular day when they both decided to go to a cafe that was at the end of their street. Jisung decided that it would be the perfect time to show Minho teleportation. Jisung was positive that the older would love it.

She walked up to Minho’s shop, balls everywhere like usual. The equipment was sorted by the sport they belong to, and Jisung didn’t even try to remember them all. After all, if there was one thing Jisung didn’t like, it was sports... and clowns, she hates clowns. Okay, maybe she didn’t have that much problem with sports, she just didn’t want to physically move for it.

When she reached the counter Minho was stationed at, her heart nearly stopped looking at Minho. The latter wore a sweatshirt with what Jisung thinks is the logo of a basketball team and just a random pair of jeans. Jisung didn’t think that her heart would stop doing flips every time she saw Minho, but then again could you blame her?

“Oh you’re here,” Minho commented, shifting her gaze from her phone to Jisung.

“Missed me, babe?” Jisung cocked an eyebrow up, joining her behind the counter.

Minho rolled her eyes, “Why’re you here?”

“Why can’t I just come and see my precious Unnie?”

“Like you’re not here just to get something from me,” Minho scoffed. “SO, what do you want?”

“Will you get me an iced americano,” Jisung took a breath before she brought out her aegyo, “please~”

“It doesn’t even cost that much, get it yourself,” Minho let out a strained chuckle, trying to hide her blush.

“But I don't wanna,” Jisung whines.

Minho sighs, “Can’t you just like, I don't know, like pop one into existence?”

“You’re telling me to make an iced americano out of nothing... Do you even know how much time that takes??” Jisung was exasperated. “The amount of equipment that would need not to mention-”

“You own a shop that sells that equipment-” Minho interrupted.

“Yeah but it's still far cheaper to just buy an iced americano than to just pop one into existence. Cause like think about it this way if you think about the law of conservation of mass it's obviously not natural to just pop something into existence. The amount of preparation it would take just to pop one proper iced americano-”

“Okay, okay, yeah I get your point,” Minho gets up, puts on a hat, and gets out off the counter. Jisung follows behind her, still explaining why making an iced americano through magic was a taxing process.

Minho locks the shop before starting to walk again with Jisung tailing right behind. She always let Jisung go on rambling about whatever she wanted to say, and did Jisung say a lot. Jisung could go on and on about the most random things ever but Minho would still actively listen as she found it adorable. Half of the time Minho doesn’t think JIsung notices that she’s rambling but the older wouldn’t change it for the world.

“Oh right!” Jisung remembers her original intention for coming to her, “We could actually teleport there, it’ll be fun.” Her eyes lit up.

“So you can teleport yourself but can't pop something into existence?” Minho questioned.

“Like I said, popping something into existence goes against nature’s laws,” Jisung explained again.

“And teleportation doesn’t?” Minho raised her eyebrows, getting more confused as Jisung rambled.

“Well no it doesn’t,” Jisung stopped in her place to think, but her brain overloaded so she finalized, “It's just hard to explain.”

“I see that,” Minho chuckles. Jisung grew soft at the sound, there was just something about her laugh that gets her every time.

Minho waves her hand in front of a zoned-out Jisung. She immediately snaps into reality, “So yeah! I can teleport us there if you want.”

“Sure, why not?” Minho back then didn’t know that it would be both her first and last time that she ever teleported.

Jisung goes to break the yellow charm, holding the frail object and adding a bit of pressure to make it break. Right when it broke, a sparkly yellow hue surrounded them, Jisung held on to Minho’s hand and visualized the cafe.

Jisung opened her eyes and they were there, well they ended up in the landing room but they ended up in the cafe. Usually she’d end up in the landing room, it was the room where witches could teleport into, every shop on the street had a room like this. It was why the roads were always so free. She wasn’t gonna lie and say she’s done it many times before and by it she means teleporting with someone else. In fact, she had never done it before so she was just glad everything seemed okay.

“That went better than I expected it to be,”

Minho might’ve spoken too soon. Just when she uttered her last words, she felt her insides try to claw their way out of her mouth.

At that moment she was thankful that they ended up in the bathroom, it saved her embarrassment. She rushed to the nearest toilet and threw up.

If that was Minho’s first experience in teleporting, she didn’t think she’d want to try it again. Jisung goes and helps Minho through it, feeling guilty that she caused it.

“I’m really sorry,” she apologized for the nth time.

Minho shook her head, “Really it's fine don't worry. I mean I’ll never be doing that again but don't blame yourself.”

Even if Minho tried reassuring her, the guilt for messing up the teleportation stayed in her heart.

-

They were stuck in traffic. Jisung predicted this, of course, she knows she won't be able to convince Minho to teleport, but being stuck in traffic is such a human thing! She doesn’t like it! The numerous horns just screamed in her ear and their car had practically been in the same place for the last ten minutes.

“You know even if you’re trying to hide our destination I can figure out where we’re going,” Minho commented, a hand on the wheel as she looked through the corner of her eye.

“There’s no way that’s possible. We only started a few minutes ago,” said Jisung.

“Jagi, I’ve been through this exact same route far more times than I can count.”

“Of course you have, it's the way to my home.”

“You know that’s not what I meant,”

“Then what do you mean?” Jisung tapped her fingers on the hand rest.

“We’re going to the baseball match today right?” Minho guessed.

Jisung panicked, her plan can’t be destroyed like this! “What makes you say that?” Jisung strained a smile, trying to seem natural without doing that great of a job.

“Yup we’re going to the baseball game, turn off the GPS I know the way,” Minho confirmed as she relaxed into her seat.

Jisung whined at that, “It was supposed to be a surprise though...”

“It’s not really a surprise when you practically lightened up when you heard me talk about the game a few weeks ago and I know you don’t like sports that much.” Minho stopped at the red light and turned toward Jisung with a fond smile.

“It's not that I don't like sports,” Jisung tried to defend herself.

“Yeah, yeah, you just don't understand how it works,” Minho says in a slightly sarcastic tone.

“Well, it's more like I don't want to get out of my bed really,”

“That doesn’t really sound healthy,” Minho hummed.

“Well, I walk enough through the entire day to cover up for wanting to stay in my bed for so long.”

“Can’t believe you chose for us to go to a baseball match, do you know the rules?”

“Not really...”

Minho sighed, “Don't worry pretty, I’ll explain everything to you, okay?”

“Thanks my dear sport-loving human who likes sporty things and stuff,” grinned Jisung.

“What’s that even supposed to mean?”

“Exactly what I said.”

“Can’t believe I’m going to a baseball game though, it's been so long since I last went to one.”

“That’s not all there is for today though, so don't lose all your energy cheering,” said Jisung.

“Oo, that might be a hard one,” Minho grimaced.

“Well maybe just try conserving some energy,”

“Honestly, I was just gonna see the highlights later on because of today’s date, but this is far better.” Minho gives a quick peck on her cheek and pulls back with a bright smile stretched across her face. “Thanks pretty,”

Soon enough the red light turned green and they started moving again. A comfortable silence settled in the car, both of them looking at the road, a little nervous about what would come today. After all, that day would be a big step in their relationship.

For the rest of the ride, they simply stay in each other's presence. Jisung occasionally talked about the cute videos of animals she saw on TikTok or a new fact she learned on National Geographic. The ride itself was pretty smooth and in no time they were almost near the venue.

“I’m still bummed that my surprise got exposed.” Jisung pouted as Minho drove into the parking lot, searching for available space.

“We’ll then next time try something less predictable.” Minho giggled, she backed up into the free space between two big cars. Actually, big was an understatement. compared to Minho’s sleek car, the two pickup trucks beside the place were humongous. Which made it harder to open the car doors without accidentally hitting the truck.

Jisung somehow managed to squeeze her way out of the tiny place without accidentally leaving a mark on the car beside her. Why were these parking spaces always so small? On the other side, Minho also seemed to get through the tiny place albeit with a little struggle.

Once they’re both out they walk to the entrance grabbing a few snacks before going in. They soon find their seats and settle down for the game to start. Over the past few months of dating Minho, Jisung definitely picked up basic rules but it still wasn’t enough to understand the game.

Once the game starts Jisung is determined to understand what was going on, her face scrunched up as she stared in focus. Minho turned to look at her and couldn’t help smiling over how cute she is, she always tried hard to understand the matches that were being played. It was like this since their first date, although that date was quite something else.

-

Their first date was unique of sorts, it definitely wasn’t your average date considering there was an entire witch present there. So Jisung being her insecure witch-ly self does exactly what witches do, she makes a potion! Specifically, a potion that made her more knowledgeable about a subject of choice.

She got to it, and an hour before the date she gathered all the ingredients and started making it. Soon enough she made the potion, it was a liquid substance that was tinted a bright green. Sadly, this was one of those spells that would only work if the potion was taken alone, she squeezed her eyes shut and drank the entire thing. It tasted disgusting, but anything for not sounding like a fool. She honed her thoughts down to basketball, it was where they were going.

Her brain registered every new piece of information as the facts rushed in. The spell would last for about 2 hrs which should be enough right? Jisung didn’t think a basketball match could last very long.

She got proven wrong. It definitely lasted over 2 hrs. In the first half of the game, she actively participated in every conversation related to the game. The words flowed out like it was her second nature. Everything was going perfectly... until the potion wore off. Jisung blanked. She couldn’t comprehend what was happening, the most she could do was figure out which team had to shoot where.

If Jisung was being honest, she didn’t know how she avoided the topic of sports for most of the time she’d known Minho. Heck! Minho owned an entire sports shop (Jisung’s very proud of avoiding the topic btw). But that was all coming back now to bite her in the ass.

Minho went on rambling on about the game, giving her insights into how the players played. Jisung could only reply with a hum, after all, she didn’t understand what Minho was talking about. I mean like what even is a point guard?? And on top of that, the spell also allowed her some background knowledge on the players now completely wiped from her mind. She was struggling to figure out who Minho was talking about cause she really didn’t know. Jisung looked at the timer there were still 15 minutes left in the game. She hoped time would move faster.

Minho did notice the sudden silence but decided not to comment on it at first. I mean after all it was best not to dig deep into it, she could’ve just been tired after talking for so long. Which internally shocked Minho because she didn’t think that Jisung had the ability to stop talking, although that fact about her endeared Minho so much.

She turns over to Jisung while discussing something about the match with her, and there she sees it. The confusion in Jisung’s eyes as her gaze flits across the court. That’s when Minho put all the pieces together. The reason she’d been so confident for the first half of the game and then stayed completely silent afterward was that she used a potion. Of course, it was just a speculation, but Minho crumbled at that, did Jisung really go through such lengths to impress Minho?

In most cases, Minho should’ve been mad that Jisung lied to her on their first date but she couldn’t help but coo about it. Soon enough, the game ended and Minho heard a sigh of relief from Jisung, she chuckled inwardly at that.

They got into Minho’s car and she asked Jisung casually, “So what was the potion you used?”

As if it was second-hand to Jisung she answered, “Oh it was a knowledge potion, I love those cause they’re so interesting to make i love how it incorporates tree sap- wait...”

Minho couldn’t hold in the chuckle. She laughed hard and loud while Jisung was still trying to figure out how Minho could’ve possibly found out?? Jisung was pretty sure that she executed the potion perfectly, maybe it was the last 15 minutes. But, Jisung was still responding back to her (even if it wasn’t verbally).

“How... how did you figure it out?” Jisung asked, feeling insecure all of a sudden, after all she’d been caught.

“Your eyes, they were clearly confused during the second half of the game, usually I wouldn’t notice this but you were so active about everything during the first half it was kind of noticeable,” Minho answered honestly.

“I’m sorry,” Jisung felt tears welling up in her eyes, contrary to popular belief she was very sensitive. Minho wrapped her arms around her, to comfort her.

“Don’t be sorry, it’s fine I’m not mad. I don’t really care about those kinds of stuff,” Minho reassured her.

“So you don’t like sports?” Jisung’s voice muffled through the sobs. Jisung was sure she was rubbing snot all over Minho’s t-shirt but right now that wasn’t the biggest thing in her mind.

“Where did you get that from?” Minho raised her eyebrow, “I meant I don't mind if you don’t know that much about sports it changes nothing really. You know I want you to have fun too right?”

“I’m embarrassing myself on our first date,” Minho could visualize the pout on Jisung’s face.

She pats Jisung’s hair gently. Moving them in a calming motion, “Honestly, I don’t mind. You’re still the cutest person I’ve ever seen.”

Minho cups Jisung’s cheeks, locking their gazes towards each other. Big globs of tears fell from her eyes as she asked, “Even when I’m crying?”

“Yes, even when you’re crying.” Minho laughed as she answered.

“It’s not funny!” Jisung pouted.

“Sure sure,” Minho consoled as they drove back.

-

The baseball match was wrapping up and Minho was heaven-sent to Jisung. She explained everything that was going on, and Jisung was slowly picking it up as the game went on. Now that the match was reaching an end, Jisung felt slightly sad that it was going to end soon.

But she quickly brightened in spirit when she remembered the rest of the things she had planned for the day. She dragged Minho all the way back to her car at a fast pace. They had just enough time to go to the restaurant to reach the time Jisung reserved.

She typed in their next destination and put it on the phone holder (or whatever it's called she didn’t really know). Jisung relaxes back into her seat as Minho carefully backs up trying not to hit the two trucks beside her. Once they’re out of the stadium, they fall into a comfortable silence.

Minho knew where they were going next, it was obvious. Jisung was just a big romantic, so she was sure that their next destination was where Jisung officially asked Minho to be her girlfriend. Minho obviously accepted considering they wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for that moment.

When Minho could see the restaurant at the side of the rode she said, “Jisung you’re such a romantic, oh my god.”

“Why do I feel like you already knew about this?” Jisung asked as they got out from the car.

“It’s probably because I did know about this...”

“Of course you did, I can’t even give you one surprise can I?”

“Very unlikely, considering this is my forte.”

“It’s not like I can help it can I?”

“I’m afraid not,”

“Well let's have a nice dinner shall we?” Jisung asks as she holds the door open for Minho.

“Yes, its been so long since we came here. You should take me here more often, I missed it.” Minho squealed.

“If I did my pockets right now would be empty please,”

“With how much your products cost? Are you sure?” Minho raised an eyebrow.

They walk up to to one of the free tables and settle down. They talk a little before they call over a waiter. Once they’re done with their order they fall back into a familiar conversation.

“When was the last time we came here?” asked Minho.

“I don’t think we’ve been here since the day I asked you to be my girlfriend,” Jisung sips on the water as they wait.

“I mean it is far from both of our houses.” she acknowledged.

“I’m a witch remember, nothing is too far for me.” Jisung shrugged, taking another sip from the water. “If this food doesn’t come any soon I swear I might drink this entire place.”

Minho stared confused, “Yeah... sure...”

“Are you doubting me?” Jisung raised an eyebrow.

“How is it even possible to ‘drink’ this place???”

“Using the transformation spell of course,” Jisung answered like it was obvious. “Anything’s possible with magic my love,”

“And you still can’t pop an iced americano into existence, sure…” Minho narrowed her eyes, still suspicious.

“I never said I couldn’t, I just said it would be extremely hard to.”

“You teleport all the time so like can’t you just I don’t know teleport that iced americano to you?”

“Of course I can but that’s technically stealing,”

“Then leave some money on the counter.” Minho shrugged.

The waiter was approaching their table with their food in his hand. He set down all the food before going back to his position. Both of them take some time to marvel at the food and Minho immediately pulls out her phone to click some pictures.

Jisung digs straight in, “Even if I did that, it’s not ‘popping it into existence’”

“It is though,” said Minho.

“Not technically, one is literally making it out of nothing and the other is teleporting it from somewhere it has already been made. It’s different.” Jisung explained, food now stuffed in her mouth.

“Ahh.” Minho finally understanding.

The rest of the dinner goes smoothly, the pair going about their playful banter between every spoon or two. Times like this were common to them considering they usually had their food together. It didn’t matter whose house it was or the diner on their street they more often than not had dinner together.

Soon dinner wrapped up and they made their way out of the restaurant, along with a huge dent in Jisung’s wallet. It would be worth it, she said to herself. It’s worth it.

Jisung guides them back to their car. Minho drove them to Jisung’s street, they stopped a little before Jisung’s apartment. After all, it would be the perfect place to tell Minho what she’d been preparing for all this time. She felt nervous about it, about what was to come. She’d held out soo long it wouldn’t hurt to continue this way for a few more minutes.

They walk on the path that was laid out for the park, streetlights lining the walkway. Minho takes Jisung’s hand in hers before continuing forward.

“Remember, this was where we first met.” Jisung recollected.

The memories gushed into Minho’s brain of that fine day. “Oh right, the day I foolishly ran after my hat.”

“It wasn’t foolish, I mean if I had my hat signed by my idol I’d never want to lose it, heck I’d never take it off my head.”

“That incident didn’t leave my mind for over a week, but when it was finally fading away your shop was right in front of mine.”

“I guess it was meant to be,” they looked into each other's eyes, fondness filling their eyes.

-

Minho was strolling around the park, and it was quite a windy day. She was calmly looking around the area, after all, she was going to be spending a major amount of her time in this neighborhood. It was shocking she found the place, it wasn’t overly expensive and the entire street was the prettiest place she ever visited. There were plants everywhere (albeit some were quite spooky), vines growing on the walls, and the stores on the street were the cutest things ever.

Well yes, some of the shops in the street had questionable names and things that weren’t normally sold (one being the one that was in front of hers). It was called, ‘Jisung’s Potion Wares’, why would anyone need to make a potion, and for what?? Even the cafe had a name that was like the shop in front of hers, and now that she thought about it even the convenience store sounded similar. Was the entire street themed or something, because Minho would swear this place was made for witches.

The park was quite different from the ones she’d usually see in her neighborhood, this one was more lively (or should she say more deadly because she swore there were thorns on most of these plants). It was a beautiful sight to witness, the air was fresh, and the sun was setting so the park was cast with an orange-pink hue.

As she walked further down the path the cap that she wore got swept away in the wind. That was her favorite cap, it was signed by her favorite baseball player! She needed to get that now! So she runs after it as her life depends on it.

That cap settled then on a tree, at the top of it no less. This wasn’t how she wanted her time in the park to go, she had never been much of a runner despite her strong thighs. And that showed after she gasped for air after reaching the tree. Now, what would she do? She could hardly climb the tree, it was far too tall!

And just when she thought that the cap…levitated? She rubbed her eyes to see if what she saw was wrong. That’s not possible…right? But no, the cap was in fact descending from its place in the tree.

“I had to break one of my charms for that,” A voice said from behind her.

Minho flinched turning back in an instant, there she saw a girl with— odd dressing choices (I mean, what even was that? A robe? During summer??)

“You mean you did that levitating thingy?” Minho frowned, getting confused by the minute.

“I mean that’s what the charm is for, levitating,” said the girl like it was obvious, “Is this the first time you're seeing it?” she continued in a sarcastic manner.

“Yes,” Minho replied, genuinely.

The smile faded from her face, “You seriously never saw this?”

Minho shook her head.

“Like never?” The girl said in disbelief, “Are you from the countryside? Wait no that can’t be it cause they know more than we do. Where are you even from?”

“Seoul?” Minho replied slowly, the frown not leaving her face but only getting deeper.

“Then how did you never see it?” She was exasperated.

Minho opened her mouth to speak but the girl quickly interrupted, “Don’t tell me… you’re a normie?”

“A what now?”

“You don’t do magic?” Jisung asked carefully.

“Magic? I hardly think those myths are actually real,” Minho scoffed.

“You literally saw it, like just now.”

“Oh right….That was magic!?” She was back to a shocked state.

“Yeah, that was magic.” Jisung replied, “you seriously never saw magic before?'“

“No?”

“Wow, you really must’ve lived under a rock. But that doesn’t explain why you’re here.” Jisung says, handing the cap back to Minho.

“I’m opening my shop here,” said Minho, “a sports equipment shop.”

“That makes more sense, I guess. Although that still doesn’t explain how you got a shop in this street.”

“It was in my budget, so I bought it.” Minho explained, “but what you’re saying is that witches and wizards are real?”

“Yeah they are, but you really don’t see many wizards around here, that kind stays on the other side of the world. Although, you could say I’m the closest thing Seoul has to a wizard ‘cause I can imbue my magic into charms and use them later. I can use these charms to do anything I want, within the rules of “The Witch Ways”. Not exactly what a wizard does, but it’s more than what a witch can do.” she rambled on with a gummy smile on her face.”

Minho nodded along to her explanation, but her focus shifted from her words to how cute she looked.

“I never caught your name,” Minho interrupted

“Oh, right! I’m Jisung. Han Jisung. What’s yours?” Jisung replied.

“I’m Minho.”

“Hi Minho, welcome to Witchington Street.” the smile that rivaled the sun still on her face.

“Thanks for the cap again, really appreciate it,” Minho says with a smile mirroring the younger.

They sit down on a bench in a nearby gazebo, the two take in a deep breath and stay there in comfortable silence. The lamps that hung on two corners of the place lit up the entire place.

Jisung knew it was time, this was the perfect time to ask if Minho wanted to move in with her. She took a sharp breath and brought out a velvet box (the box was just for the theatrics and nothing else). Jisung turned her body towards Minho, with the velvet box resting in her hand.

Minho looks pleasantly surprised, “And what is this?”

“Lee Minho, I know it’s only been a few months since we started dating, but these few months have been the best few months in my life. So will you do the honors of making me the happiest witch in the world and move in with me?” Jisung opened the box, and a key lay on the inside.

“Did you get another copy of the key? I already have one,” Minho said.

“And that’s what you got out of it?” Jisung says in disbelief, “and no it's yours I just took it before we left for the date to make this plan turn out better.”

“So you’re saying you stole that from my house,” Minho said, her face morphing into a shocked face but her eyes were amused.

“I can’t really steal something that’s already mine,” Jisung defended. “And you didn’t answer the question, it's making me nervous.”

“Of course, I’ll move in with you dumbass, can’t wait to hear more of your nerdy magic rambles every day,” Minho embraced Jisung, squeezing her tight.

“Really?” Jisung said she couldn’t believe this was happening. It was actually happening! Tears were threatening to fall from her eyes, she was genuinely so happy.

“Of course, although I still have 2 months left in my lease.” Minho pouted.

“That’s fine I could just make one of your doors into a portal and you can just come into my house whenever you want from yours.” Jisung said through the happy tears falling from her eyes, “It won’t be like teleporting, don't worry.”

“Baby why are you crying,” Minho said, smushing Jisungs cheeks as she wiped off the tears with her thumbs.

“Because I love you.” Jisung leaned in for a peck, and that peck turned into a kiss.

It was gentle, slow, and filled with love. They sat under the dim lights of the gazebo sharing that tender moment. To make it more special, Jisung breaks the last charm that she had to light up the entire gazebo.

They both pull apart, taking in the now brightly lit gazebo.

“How did these appear?” Minho asks.

“Your pretty girlfriend’s a Witch,” Jisung whispers as if she were sharing a secret.

“Oh really? Well, then I’m the luckiest human in the world.” Minho grinned.

“Fun Fact, I finally can do what you always asked for.”

“And what is that?”

“You could say I ‘popped this into existence’” said Jisung, a proud look on her face.

“I thought you said that was impossible?” Minho raised her eyebrow.

“I never said it was impossible, I just said it would be really hard to do so, but I finally found a breakthrough and it's all thanks to you.”

“I’m glad I could help,” Minho said with that smile that she’d always do, it made her look more like a cat in Jisung’s eyes. It was that smile that got Jisung through her days and now she’d get to see it every day.

They started walking away from the gazebo, away from the park. They got into the car and drove to Jisung’s house.

“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me you could do a portal before. The amount of traffic I went through daily to get here.”

“It can only connect two locations at once, and I recently figured out how to do it, so... Heh, sorry”

“We’ll have a humongous apartment now. I mean if we’re going to combine yours and mine,” said Minho.

“But we’ll have an entire room we won’t use…”

“We’ll just switch the rooms we’ll sleep in until my lease ends and then we can stay at yours.”

“Oh yeah, that’s smart we could do that because my house is near both our stores.” Jisung said, “This still feels unreal, I can’t actually believe you said yes.”

Minho chuckled in amusement, they reached Jisung’s house by now. The two got off and walked up the stairs.

“I need my emotional support boobies,” Jisung said, her face serious.

Minho broke out into fits of laughter, this was quite common between them but it managed to crack her up every time.

“I’m serious. Too many emotions at one.” Jisung pouted, opening the door to her apartment.

“Sure you squeeze them till your content.”
