Absolutely gut-wrenching, devastating, and very real portrayal of the AIDS crisis in the early '90s. Whoo, boy. This had me bawling my eyes out, especially throughout the last chapter. Gorgeous writing, world-building, and story telling. I don't think I'll ever be able to read this one again, but I feel like it's important that I did read it.
