Din nods shakily, and Grogu, settled between his legs, leans into his body. Din’s hand ghosts over Grogu’s head, and he slowly pats the child. It feels awkward, with his gloves still on, but Grogu doesn’t move away.
Skywalker moves on to the next parent in the circle, and Din feels as if he has passed another test of this so-called parenting thing.
Or: Luke Skywalker does development circles with the parents of the students in his Academy. Din isn't yet sure if that's actually helpful or not.

—Si pudieras estar aquí a media mañana, sería lo mejor —dice Skywalker con serenidad, como si ni siquiera se le hubiera ocurrido que Din se negara. Din se siente un poco acorralado, pero entonces Skywalker le dedica una sonrisa de agradecimiento y la sensación se desvanece un poco.
—Bien —dice, intentando que no parezca que se tambalea—. A media mañana será.
"Eres un muy buen padre, ¿sabes?", dice Skywalker, y luego se marcha a toda prisa, como si esa fuera una forma aceptable de terminar una conversación. Din se queda mirándolo mientras se va, intentando entender por qué Skywalker cree que es necesario decirlo y si debería estar molesto o agradecido.
Skywalker mira hacia él y Din gira rápidamente hacia Razor Crest.
