“This is for me?”
A young voice - childish and still high-pitched with youth, a faint lisp from missing teeth. Tinged with excitement, yellow and orange bubbles, bright and giddy. Small hands are gently clasped in much larger hands, worn with callouses, clearly used to work, yet delicately cradling the child’s hands as if he were the most precious thing in the world.
“Of course, it’s a gift for you .”
A deeper voice, significantly older, warm with affection, a smile audible at the young boy’s excitement.
“And - And I can do whatever I want with it?”
“Anything at all. You’ve got friends, no? You can bring them.”
“Really!?”
“Really. Anyone you’d like, at any time. Just ask me, I’d like to keep you safe.”
A snort of disbelief followed the older’s words.
“As if I’d ever, in a million years, be friends with someone dangerous !” The child laughs, a high, infectious laughter that ended with wheezing.
“Oh, of course not. Never in your whole life…” The tone indicated that the man was getting ready to list off the many times the child had, in fact, been friends with dangerous people.
“XD!” The child whined, “I want to look at it! And - and invite my friends! They’re gonna be so excited I have a server all for me!”
The child pulled eagerly at their joined hands, wanting to enter the new world, to see his world laid before him, his admin magic sparking in his eyes, green eyes bright in excitement.
“Of course. Who are you going to invite first?” The man asked, not budging from his spot.
“Sapnap, obviously . And George. And Bad and Ant - oh and Sam! And Callahan! Maybe other people - their friends and family, if they want.”
“Good choices, Daydream. They’ll be excited to see your new world.”
“Well, they never will if we don’t!”
More eager tugging, fruitless truthfully, the child not strong enough to pull a god along. Even so, XD, the god, played along and followed the child with a lighthearted laugh, Dream, into the new world. It was blindingly bright and fresh, untouched by Players or Admin alike, a world just for XD’s Dream, just for him and his friends.
