Chapter Text
Hermione is already running late for her SGA holiday committee obligations when she gets a strange message from someone she's not keen on hearing from generally, let alone a day like today.
It sets her Valentine's day off to an ominous start.
She's grateful that her friends are always looking out. But, god, she really does not need this today.
It's still quite early. Campus is empty, and Hermione's growing desperate. There's only one other person she knows who is consistently on campus at this hour.
Lucky for her, he's already online.
Draco finds that his friends are less helpful in stressful situations.
He loves Blaise, he does, but he also finds him trying at times.
Though he is also quite good at keeping things interesting. The man is full of surprises.
Hermione, as one might imagine, finds the same information far less surprising.
Ginny, notoriously punctual, makes it to the table just in time to witness the entire train-wreck of a situation.
It's a turn of events she can only describe as "delightful."
Hermione, bless her heart, jumps immediately into damage control.
Thank god for good friends.
The kind who gently jog your memory when you crack under pressure...
...and whatever kind of friend Malfoy is.
