When a little white lie leads to Draco Malfoy showing up stating they should go along with the rumors of them dating and presenting her with a contract, Hermione is shocked at how quickly things get out of hand. When she learns that there is a little boy caught in the middle of it, she can't refuse.

Fake dating at its best with snarky banter, overly invested friends, an adorable baby, and all the tooth rotting emotions you can('t) handle!

Chapter 2: Update- more chapters coming

Summary:

just an update- no new chapters yet, but I wanted it to say it wasn't complete yet

Narrators note:
audio for Chapter 2 is in editing- got a few things to fix and then it'll be uploaded. I'm hoping to get the rerecording done tomorrow. Chapter 3 is in editing as well and chapter 4 is in the first recording still. I wanted to update though so it didn't say it was complete yet. I've never done podfics before this- and I don't know if it'll keep it all in the same streaming or if I'll have to post the embed code for each chapter- I'm hoping not just for ease of listening. The Original work is currently at 69k words long which puts us at roughly 8hrs of audio at the moment. that will increase as the story finishes but I'm excited to record and share with all of you!

Also the streaming embed doesn't work on the unofficial archive reader if anyone is still using that. I dropped it recently but thought I'd check it just to see. Chapter 4 is now live! I have 5-7 also recorded and will be editing tomorrow so those will be up as soon as they're done. 

Also just a funny note: I keep saying "contracts vs pancakes" instead of the correct title when I'm talking about this story. And just the other day I said contracts vs Penguins. I have no idea where my brain went in that moment.

Chapter 6: Listen to 1 get 2 free!

Summary:

Chapters 5-7 are up!

Chapters 5, 6 and 7 are live!

I had to edit out a solid 30 seconds of me giggling from chapter 5. I just could not deadpan Draco eating with a flimsy plastic fork.

And chapter 7 made me cry! So have a tissue close by if you're prone to tears while reading. <3 love you all. Probably won't have any new chapters up till after Monday, got stuff going this weekend.
I MIGHT have time to record chapter 8 on Saturday, we shall see. My hubby has a disc golf tournament that day, so I might get a few minutes of quiet during nap time.

Chapter 7: Chapter 8 is up!

Chapter 8 is live! Chapter 9 has been recorded and will be up in a few days (by the end of the week *fingers crossed*). It's almost an hour long so it'll take me a bit to get it edited/reviewed.

Chapter 8: Chapter 9 is online

Chapter 9 is up and ready to listen to! If you're struggling with the embedded player trying to get to a particular chapter (they all have a second or so of silence at the beginning, and the player for me has a bit of lag)- the link at the bottom of the page takes you to Archive.org where I'm hosting the files and it's easier to navigate the chapters in their streaming player. Chapter 9 is around 40-45 minutes long so you're aware. But it's ADORABLE! I love it. Have fun listening!

Chapter 10 is awaiting editing so that should be up before the weekend. then I'm gonna take a short break and record my oneshot Rose in Winter.

Chapter 13: Back with Chapter 14!

Heyo Friends!

 

Chapter 14 is up for your listening enjoyment!

My previous quick updating turn around will be delayed for a bit as I've been hired to produce an audiobook of a cozy mystery, so my passion projects will have to be a bit slower coming. The Cozy mystery is due to be finished at the end of February so worst case scenario this one will have to wait till then- but I'm going to try and post at least a chapter a week over here.

 

(and if any of you enjoy hallmark style murder mysteries with small town drama, an adorable kitty, and lots of mouthwatering hot cocoa descriptions let me know and I'll share the audible link when it's up! I'm paid for the book whether anyone listens to it or not, so there's nothing in it for me except to know you enjoyed a great story!)

Chapter 14: grab your tissues- Chapter 15 is online!

Chapter 15 was SO much fun to record. I've talked my friends ears off over how much I enjoyed recording this. Especially the first part.

Still a goal of a chapter a week, so we ought to have all the current 18 chapters up by the end of February.

Merlin, My week has been chaos. There's a laundry list of things that have made life hard lately. But here's chapter 16. Please note the new warnings on the main page, and Enjoy! (also your comments give me major Dopamine boosts and that gets my dishes and laundry and general housework done so feel free to leave comments!)

Chapter 16: No new chapter this week :(

No new chapter this week unfortunately friends. We've all been sick here at home all week and my voice is out of commission. I've gone from an alto to a baritone- Draco's register is what my voice sounds like on the regular now lol!

I've not forgotten you though and am resting and staying as hydrated as possible to be able to come back to recording asap. I miss it.

We've been stuck at home for so long it's giving me 2020 flashbacks. 

I did finish writing a fun fluffy story I've been working on for the last few months though so I hope you enjoy that!.

 

 

Chapter 17: Chapter 17 is UP!

Heyo everyone! Sorry for the long wait. Chapter 17 is now live, Chapter 18 is in the recording process, (as are the final eleven chapters of the other audiobook I'm working on!) My voice was functional- but not recording quality for over a week with the mess we had going on here at home. but we're back! and I'm working hard to get stuff done.

Chapter 18: another week without a new chapter- but it's the last time I PROMISE!

my apologies dear friends! I am down to my final week with the paid audiobook I'm working on so editing over there has priority right now. 
I DO have chapter 18 fully recorded (and currently 45 minutes long- it'll be over half an hour after I've chopped out all my mistakes) and it just needs the time to edit it. but after next week I'll be DONE and free to devote my entire work time to Contracts with a side of Pancakes and other works.

 

Only two chapters left unless our dear author is able to bless us with chapter 20 before I finish with 19 which I have begun recording a few minutes at a time.

Chapter 19: and we are BACK!

My friends!! Chapter 18 is UP! and I AM SO EXCITED! 
My official audiobook has been sent for it's final review before audible puts it up on the site. so YAY! it took me way longer than I expected it to to complete. but it's done and I'm back and so excited to be posting for you guys again! I promise I do better work editing my paid stuff- not that I don't love you guys, but if I spent the same effort editing these files I'd never get them posted. So I hope you don't mind the occasional pop or click.

This is also not quite word perfect- so for anyone who likes to read along as you listen- I apologize. I've taken a small handful of editorial liberties as I go along. nothing major, I know in one chapter I did rearrange a sentence to make it flow better. But generally speaking (in over 7hrs of audio) it's going to be at least 98% accurate for read alongs. I love this work so much and I'm so so pleased that I get to be a part of sharing it with you. Thank you to our dear author, asongstress1422 for sharing it with us! I have laughed, and cried and had so much fun recording and editing this. Especially the highly emotional scenes.

Chapter 19 should be up by this time next week, barring any major life interruptions.
