Chapter Text

Parting from the rest of the Todorokis made Katsuki feel better. Izuku too to be honest. The blonde finally released Izuku but stayed close to her. Katsuki didn't exactly trust others here. Especially people like Touya who ask too many damn questions. Katsuki was actually a little pissed at himself. He was so busy talking with Enji and Rei that he let his guard down. He should have made sure Izuku was by his side instead of Shouto. Of course Izuku can protect himself but he has to act differently since he's supposed to be a princess. So that on top of the fact that Izuku is just overly kind can cause his cover to be blown. Then they would be screwed. He trusted Izuku, don't get him wrong but he also knows that the other is too nice sometimes.

It was just as much Katsuki's job to protect Izuku's fake identity as it was Izuku's. “Here's your room.” Shouto said as they stood outside a large shouji door. Inside was large and modest. There wasn't much on the wooden walls nor as much furniture as Katsuki had in his own room. Boring. Katsuki went in first expecting Izuku to follow. “Where will I be staying?” He heard instead which made him turn around. Shouto seemed just as confused. “Here, that's what the two beds are for.” He gestured to said beds. Both had white canopies above them that draped down the bed posts in an ethereal way. The wooded bed frame was carved into just as intricately as other major wooden features in the castle.

“We'll be in here together?” Izuku glanced between them and Katsuki frowned. “Yes. Get your ass in here.” He told the other who blushed a bit and stepped inside. “It shouldn't be a big deal. Usually this is done to challenge the heir’s celibacy but I don't think you two will have an issue.” Shouto said as blunt and flat as usual. Izuku's face turned red as Katsuki's ears did the same. “Fuck off Icyhot.” He told the other who just shrugged. “Settle in. Someone will come get you for dinner.” Shouto bowed then left, closing the sliding door. Across the room was another set of sliding doors that Katsuki walked to and pushed one side open to reveal a wintery garden.

Where carefully patterned sand was supposed to be was snow instead. The hot spring still slowly ran through at a wavy angle, cutting the garden in half. Its edges were lined with rocks just like the path that led to it. A large Sakura tree in the far corner was sparse, its pretty petals long gone because of the cold. “Kacchan, it's cold.” Midoriya said so the other closed the door. Bakugou sighed as he turned towards the other. They needed to talk. “Get changed. You're gonna freeze to death.” He said. “Are you not cold?” Midoriya tilted his head. “I'm used to a warmer climate, but not really. I run hot, Bookworm.” Bakugou replied. He felt a little flustered that the other cared so much.

Midoriya nodded and they did separate things for a few minutes. Their trunks were already in the room so they had all of their things. Bakugou went to check the potion ingredients that were in an extra secure trunk to keep curious handlers out of it. As he closed the trunk he could hear Midoriya sigh for the third time. Bakugou looked over as he stood up to see Midoriya looking at himself in the mirror. The dress he had on now was more covering. It had long bell sleeves, a skirt that hit the floor, and a hood. All of the hems were lined with fur and the material was clearly thicker. However it still had a corset but since it tied from the back Midoriya was having trouble again. Bakugou wordlessly approached him from behind.

“Oh, thank you Kacchan.” Midoriya said when he took over. Bakugou grabbed the ribbon tightened each section before pulling the ribbon taut. He did make sure Midoriya could breathe properly though. He didn't need his wife to pass out in front of everyone. His wife. Bakugou frowned at the title. Then he cleared his throat. “Ye alright?” He asked, still focused on the task. “Yeah, why wouldn't I be?” Midoriya looked confused. “Touya.” Bakugou replied. Midoriya blushed, but nodded. “He was just teasing.” Bakugou didn't like the dismissive tone so he finished tying the red ribbon into a perfect bow and placed his hands on Midoriya's hips. “Ye stay with me. I dinnae want him touching ye or looking at ye like that.” He said gripping Midoriya a little tight. The freckled cheeks he could see in the mirror had flushed a little. “It's not a big deal.” Midoriya shrugged.

Bakugou grunted as he moved his hands to turn the other around so they could face each other. His hands moved back to Midoriya's hips as he spoke. “No a big deal? Yer my wife and he was looking at yer tits.” Bakugou frowned deeply, pulling the shorter closer. Midoriya swallowed hard but nodded again. “Sorry. I didn't know he was going to do that. I was just trying to make polite conversation.” he explained hesitantly and Bakugou rolled his eyes. “First, Bakugous dinnae make polite conversation. Second, if he looks at ye or anyone looks at ye like that again. I'm burning out their eyes.” Bakugou lifted his free hand to draw in his magic and make it explode like a small popping fire.

Midoriya stared at him for a moment. “Kacchan, that's a little…” Extreme went unsaid. Bakugou let go of him to clench his fists. “It's no. I'm not willing to risk ye getting hurt the moment I turn my back. No in my kingdom, no in any other.” He said remembering how much Takaramono pissed him the fuck off. He tried to calm himself. Enough to get his point across. Bakugou then grabbed Midoriya's hands, almost missing the scars that are supposed to be there. His hands were different, less bulky, not calloused by training, untainted by war. Bakugou hated it. “Back home other people kept an eye on you if I wasn't around. The whole castle. Here we only have a few servants.” He glanced towards the door suspicious that someone might he listening.

Bakugou got quieter. “You stay with me at all times and if you dinnae want to you stay with Eijirou, one of the other morons, or Kyouka. Dinnae go anywhere outside this room alone.” He said feeling the plea escape his throat. He didn't want to say it because it felt wrong but Midoriya was at risk here. Of course he can protect himself but when he would usually fight back he'll be dismissive to keep the act up. He would risk getting hurt to make sure their secret isn't revealed. Bakugou wasn't willing to let him even come near an incident where he's cornered like that. He wouldn't be able to forgive himself or face anyone if he let something bad happen to Midoriya. The other seemed to analyze him intensely then he nodded. “Alright.” He concluded.
