I have carefully crafted a playlist to go with the art.
Every song is a soundtrack to how Nemuri and Hizashi fell in love.
This is their story.

Lure of the siren by Mo Coulson and Chris Conway
This song was chosen as the first song because Neumiri first met Hizashi when his siren song lured her in. He wasn't trying to capture her, he was simply sitting on a rock and singing, and she followed his voice, thinking it the most beautiful thing she's ever heard.
The Night We Met (Piano Version) by Sam Yung
This song was chosen because I picture it as the song playing as the two of them lay down to sleep and think of their first encounter, knowing it's the start of something.
Yellow by Vancouver Sleep Clinic
This song to me is a montage of the two of them. It's the point in the movie when there's a multitude of silent scenes to music playing of the couple falling for each other.
Holding A Heart by Toby Lightman
This song is from Nemuri's POV. It is about her starting to realize that she had feelings for Hizashi but she is scared to give in and let herself love.
Across The Sea by The Sweeplings
This song is from Hizashi's POV and is a direct response to "Holding A Heart". This is Hizashi reassuring Nemuri that her heart will be safe with him.
Daylight by Taylor Swift
This song is from Nemuri's POV and is about her reflecting on how Hizashi compares to past relationships and how different he is. He is her 'daylight' in the darkness of her past.
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic by Sleeping At Last
This song is from Hizashi's POV and is about his feelings for Nemuri. He is amazed by her and though he himself also has had a dark past, he finds warmth with her.
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by Sleeping At Last
This song is Hizashi to Nemuri. It is him reassuring her that even as she travels, he will swim to where she is.
Here With Me (Two Worlds) by Susie Suh
This song is Nemuri to Hizashi, and it is her response to "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) and her acceptance that Hizashi wants her in his life and knowing there was a reason the two of them met. It is when she turns from having feelings to being in love with him.

These songs are grouped together because they are a creshendo of the same montage, the songs starting off hopeful and happy and gradually getting sadder. This is the journey of Hizashi and Nemuri being apart from each other for long periods of time as she sails the ocean and Hizashi swims to where she is. They know they cannot be together all the time for her life as a pirate is dangerous to Hizashi.

She goes to find Hizashi again.

This song is their reunion. Nemuri apologizes and pours her feelings out to Hizashi and tells him to "never let her go".
Highs & Lows by Chance Pena
This song is Hizashi's answer to Nemuri. He reassures her that although their love won't be easy, he'll be with her through it all, the good and the bad.

These two songs are Nemuri and Hizashi realizing the weight of their feelings and telling each other "I love you" for the first time.
