The evening breeze was warm and light. Porsche and Chay stood near the beachside bar as they waited for some drinks and appetizers. Their family vacation was almost ending and everyone was feeling much better after their much needed time off. Kinn had decided that everyone needed a vacation for a few days, bringing them to one of the main families' resorts.
“You can have one sip of my drink kiddo, but that's it.” Porsche said as he playfully ruffled Chay's hair.
“Hia, you do know this isn't my first drink right. You literally gave me my first drink.” Chay rebutted, rolling his eyes.
“You're just a baby Chay .” Porsche said, bringing his brother into a tight hug.
Big, Pete, Arm, and Pol were seated near Tankhun as he sipped on his margarita. The bodyguards were dressed in casual clothes to blend into the family, but they still carried their weapons on them at all times. Arm casually sat with an ipad in hand, which accessed the entire resort's security system. The resort mainly catered to business men and high end VIP clients making security at the resort a top priority. Everyone just needed a break, and the mafia world was much quieter now that Korn and Gun were dead.
Vegas and Macau sat at a table on their own eating nachos, finally agreeing to spend more time with the main family. All in all, this was exactly what everyone needed after a stressful year of rebuilding and strengthening both the main and minor family. It had taken a while for everyone to find their rhythm together but Kinn working together with Vegas and having Pete and Porsche as buffers really helped bring them to where they were today. Kim and Macau still helped where they could but they stayed out of the family business for the most part.
***
Everyone was hanging out in their private villa when Tankhun burst through the large double doors, Arm and Pol right behind him.
“Everyone get ready! We’re going out tonight!” Tankhun yelled to the room.
“Khun!” everyone groaned in unison.
“Phi, I want to stay in tonight.” Macau said as he played on the video game console. “I'm half way through this level.”
“Khun, we've gone out every night since we’ve been here!” Porsche said.
“I don't care! I want to dance the night away!” Khun concluded, making his way to his room to change into a sequined jumpsuit.
The rest of the family, unenthusiastically got up and made their way to their rooms, knowing it was going to be another long night at the resort's bar and club.
***
Tankhun swayed to the music surrounded by Arm and Pol dancing to a kpop medley playlist the DJ was playing. Tankhun ws much more comfortable going out now, even if he still preferred Hum Bar as his choice of venue. The past year he'd gone to therapy and as long as Porsche or Pete, Arm and Pol were with him, it was much easier to venture off to a new club or establishment.
Vegas, Pete, Porsche and Kinn sat at a booth talking about an arms deal that needed to be taken care of with the Russians when they got back home. They tried to keep the business talk to a minimum while they were here but as the heads of the family they still had responsibilities that needed to be met.
Kim, Chay, and Macau hung out at their own table, Kim with his arm securely around Chay who leaned into his embrace. The two were inseparable for the most part and whoever said Kinn and Porsche were the worst when it came to PDA hadn't met their younger brothers. The “babies” as the bodyguards liked to call them, pretty much kept to themselves and did not insert themselves into the family business all that much, not that Vegas or Porsche would allow them to do so anyway.
Big on the other hand stood near the VIP entrance scanning his surroundings assessing any threats that might arise. He wasn't Kinns head bodyguard for nothing. However he was still usually a killjoy.
“Ima go get us some more drinks.” Porsche said, making his way out of the booth towards the bar. Kinn smacked his ass as he got out smirking as Porsche looked back at him with a scowl.
As he hurried his way across the dance floor, passing his Khun twerking to a BTS song, Porsche laughed as he saw Arm and Pol try to keep up with their boss.
The bar was packed but as soon as he approached, the bartender quickly came over to serve him. Being rich and influential and owning the resort had its perks. Porsche never had to wait for another drink in his life. He gingerly tapped his fingers on the bar. “Can I get a Whiskey Sour, two Negronis, and a Martini, and… a round of shots?” Porsche asked.
“Of course.” replied the bartender, who quickly and expertly started mixing the order. Porsche observed the young man, and was impressed, he definitely was skilled. Porsche also knew he didn't have to wait at the bar, but he'd been sitting for a while and the movement and stretch felt nice. The bartender was nearly done when Porsche heard Chay's excited squeal behind him.
“Hia!, Hia! Hia!” Chay beamed excitedly.
Porsche turned towards his brother, who was pulling someone behind him. The club was dimly lit with flashing colored lights however that didn't stop him from being able to distinguish who Chay was with. It took Porsche a moment, however as soon as he recognized Ren, Porsche happily smiled at the man he had not seen or spoken to in a few years.
“Ren?” Porsche asked almost uncertainly.
“Hia! Ren is here!” Chay exclaimed happily again.
Ren smiled down at Chay as he ruffled his hair.
“I cant believe how big you've gotten Chay, last time we spoke you were only on my shoulders, and now you're almost as tall as your brother” Ren stated.
Porsche smiled remembering a much simpler time.
“It's good to see you Ren,” Porsche stated, moving into his familiar embrace for a hug.
“You too, you look really good.” Ren said, a light blush feathering his cheeks.
***
“Oh My God! I think that's Ren!” Chay exclaimed, leaning forward trying to locate the man he had briefly spotted. Kim stayed seated as he watched Chay get up from his seat and practically run over to a man across the dance floor. Kim didn't even have time to ask what Chay who is Ren , before chay was already across the dance floor talking to and unknown man.
Kim scowed as he saw Chay and the man who was named Ren embrace. Kims could feel the fire burn at the pit of his stomach. Who was that man? Kim obviously knew it was someone Chay knew but he got even more annoyed as he watched Chay drag the man across the room to the bar where he was exchanging some words with the two brothers. Kim got up from his seat intent on following Chay.
Kinn looked at the ruckus Kim was causing as he slid out of his booth leaving Macau alone scrolling on his phone. Kim moved past Kinn, Vegas and Pete as they curiously looked at where Kim was going in such a hurry.
***
“You too, you look really good.”
Kim could hear the man say as he got closer to Chay and Porsche. Instinctively Kinn was on high alert.
“Kim?” Chay asked quizzically when he spotted him making his way towards them.
“Hey Angel, is everything ok?” Kim asked as he brought Chay closer to him, wrapping one arm around his waist.
Chay laughed and rolled his eyes. He could tell Kim was probably a little jealous but decided not to tease his grump boyfriend.
“This Ren!” Chay said excitedly. Kim frowned, why was Chay saying some other mans name so happily.
“Ren, this is my boyfriend Kim!” Chay said blushing. He never could get used to calling Kim his boyfriend. Ren politely greeted Kim with a quick wai.
“A boyfriend? Porsche let you have a boyfriend?” Ren smiled kindly. Chay blushed once more, and giggled. “Porsche…can't really say….” Chay didn't finish that sentence.
Porsche laughed.
“Kims on probation.” he looked pointedly at Kim.
“Nice to meet you.” Kim responded, rolling his eyes at Porsche. Kim observed the man as he interacted with Porsche and Chay. There wasn't anything inherently dangerous about the man, however Kim still didn't like him.
“Nice to meet you too Kim, you look really familiar, has anyone ever told you, you look exactly like this singer Wik?” Ren said.
Kim smirked. “P’Ren..” Chay started. “He is Wik” the younger one blushed.
“No way! Man you are really talented. My sister loves your music.” Ren stated.
Kim smiled again, plastering on his popstar persona. It was obvious both Porsche and Chay were comfortable around this man, but Kim knew better than to not be alert and the man knowing Wik just meant Kim had to be extra careful with his actions.
“Thank you, I appreciate it.” Kim replied.
“So how do you guys know each other?” Kim asked. Porsche stilled as he was grabbing the drinks to take back to the table.
Kim looked quizzically between the three standing before him. His senses spiked knowing his question had hit some kind of nerve, making the tension a bit awkward.
“Ummm..” Ren looked to Porsche to answer.
“Hes…my ex.” Porsche winced, looking at Kim.
Kims eyes widened,as he turned towards Chay. Chay nodded his head answering his internal question. “Your brother had a boyfriend?” Kim laughed, genuinely and wholeheartedly laughed. Oh this is going to be so good , Kim thought to himself. Kinn is gonna lose his fucken mind.
“Kim?” Chay asked, while Porsche just rolled his eyes. “Nothing Angel, let's get back to our table, Here” Kim said, reaching for the drinks in Porsches hand. “Let me take these back to the table for you.” He smirked.
“Kim you brat!” Porsche exclaimed, but it was too late, Kim had already started making his way back to Porsches table.
***
Kim reached the VIP booth and set down the drinks in front of Vegas and Pete.
“Who's that?” Asked Vegas.
Chay stayed quiet as Kim grinned. “Oh that's Ren ,” Kim stated, emphasizing the mystery man's name. “He's really nice .” The group looked at Kim like he had grown a third head. Kim was not known for giving out compliments, especially to strangers.
“Oh, is he?” Kinn replied, his answer curt, as he continued to watch Porsche speaking with Ren at the bar.
“Yeah I mean Porsche probably wouldn't have dated him if he wasn't nice.” Kim said his calculated and mocking grin adorning his face, and with that he dragged Chay back to their booth where Macau sat.
“P’Kim!” Chay scolded as he was dragged back to their table.
***
Kinns blood was boiling as Kim left their table. Vegas and Pete both looked at one another confused.
Once again Kinn looked over at Porsche who was laughing, laughing and smiling, laughing and smiling and touching this Ren person.
Porsche caught his eye and looked a bit embarrassed. Porsche probably wouldn't have dated him if he wasn't nice. That's what Kim had said.
Kinn was fuming, he wanted to run over there and make sure Ren, and everybody in this god awful place knew that Porsche belonged to him and him alone. Kinn knew Porsche was bi, however when he had met Porsche in that alley Porsche seemed more interested in girls. He also knew he had been the first to ever… a startling realization hit him, Porsche might not have been penetrated before but that didn't mean he had never slept with other men before. Kinn was so stupid, he had just assumed when Porsche said he'd never done that before it meant all of that.
He actually wanted to cry. Kinn, the leader of the Theerapanyakul clan, wanted to cry, he also wanted to shoot someone. Actually scratch that, he just wanted to shoot someone, preferably Ren.
While Kinn was having a crisis, Porsche along with Ren had made their way back to the booth.
“Umm. This is my friend Ren.” Porsche said tentatively, careful with his words.
Kinn had murder in his eyes, as Vegas and Pete both greeted Ren.
“This is Vegas we um.. work together.” Porsche said carefully, “that's Pete, he's my best friend, and.” Porsche continued, “this is Kinn. He's my boyfriend.” Porsche finished with a delicate blush filling his cheeks. “Oh, Kim is Kinns little brother by the way” Porsche said remembering Kim had already met him.
“Come, take a seat, Ren is it.” Vegas said, his smile far too menacing for Porsche's liking.
“Nice to meet everyone.” Ren said, setting his own drink down.
The awkward and dangerous aura of the table was making Ren squirm. Porsche had taken his place next to Kinn once more, lightly intertwining his hand with Kinns. Porsche could feel the anger radiating off of Kinn, he could also see the glint in Vegas’s eyes and Porsche knew he was not going to like the rest of this night.
***
Ren could tell that both Vegas and Kinn came from wealth. Their clothes, aura, expensive watches and presence just screamed money and power. Ren eyed Porsche looking at the way Porsche fingers were intertwined with Kinns. He could also see how visibly upset Kinn was and Ren could only make an educated guess as to why. Ren felt a bit nervous.
Ren sighed as he took another sip of his drink. His ex’s boyfriend was possessive it seemed.
***
Porsche was really happy to see Ren again. While most would say that they had a puppy love kind of experience, Ren was the only other person he has ever “dated”. Porsche was much younger, dumber and was too reckless for any relationship to have worked out no matter who it was with. But Ren had provided some comfort during some of the hardest and darkest times in his life. While Porsche never likes asking people for help, Ren had not only helped him look after Chay but also helped Porsche carry some of the burden of his uncle's gambling debt before it had gotten out of hand. He has been so young dealing with the shitty hand life had given him, but after Porsche dropped out of school and broke up with Ren his life was always just a little harder.
All in all Porsche was happy to see Ren living what he hoped was a happy and fulfilling life.
Porsche could feel Kinns squeezing his hand a little too rough.
Porsche rolled his eyes. Kinn could get territorial, as all the Theerapanyakul men did.
“How long have you guys been dating?” Ren asked curiously, twirling his drink in his hand.
Kinn answered, showing off their intertwined fingers and bringing Porsches hand up to kiss his knuckles. “A little less than a year and a half.”
Porsche knew Kinn was peacocking, it was silly actually, and kinda cute, but still ridiculous. Why did Porsche fall for the dumbest Theerapanyakul?
“Wow, that's nice.” Ren said genuinely.
“So when did you and Porsche break up?” Vegas asked, happy to add fuel to the fire that was Kinn.
“Vegas!” Pete said, hitting his lover on the shoulder.
“What? Like you're not curious pet?” Vegas asked. Pete blushed looking embarrassed towards Porsche cause no matter what Pete was just as noisy as the rest of them.
Ren laughed.
“There wasn't really a reason, actually.” Ren said, looking over at Porsche making sure he wasn't crossing any boundaries.
“Hmm technically we didn't actually have a breakup,” Porsche laughed awkwardly. “I was having a hard time, and had to drop out of school, and kinda sorta ghosted Ren after telling him I needed some time to sort out some stuff with my uncle. Now that I think about it, that was really shitty, I'm sorry.” Porsche said.
Kinn was surprised at the mention of Porsches uncle, thinking about the scrumbag always made him want to shoot the man again.
“It's ok, Por, I knew it wasn't the ideal situation but I'm not mad.” Ren said casually.
He had a lot of time to think about that time in his life and during their younger years Ren was not able to actually help Porsche even if he really cared about him, he also knew how much pressure and responsibility he put on himself so all Ren could do was hope Porsche had made it out ok.
“Por?” Kinn said, gritting his teeth.
“Oh, sorry. Bad habit, I used to call him that.” Ren said having good enough manners to look embarrassed.
Kinns hand now gripped Porsches thigh, his hold unmoving.
“Kinn!” Porsche scolded. “It's fine Ren, don't worry about it.” Porsche smiled softly.
Kinn was starting to lose his patience, if this had been the Kinn from 2 years ago, Ren would have already been dragged away by Big and disposed of. But Kinn could tell Porsche cared somewhat about his guy and he knew if he did anything to hard him Porsche would be pissed. Kinn took every ounce of self control he had to sit there, with a pleasant smile on his face.
***
The atmosphere had somewhat calmed as the night progressed. Ren and Porsche chatted about their lives, Porsche leaving out some of the more unsavory details about their line of work.
“So your boyfriend gave you a company to run with his cousin?” Ren tried to confirm looking at Vegas.
Vegas smiled. “It's a family business, we all try to help out where we can.”
“Makes sense, what type of business is it?” Ren asked curiously.
Kinn leaned forward. “Mostly it's real estate, import and export and a couple smaller subsidiaries, like this resort.” Kinn could see when Ren's face changed into one of realization.
“Wait, this resort is owned by the KT Group.” Ren said, confused.
“Kinns the KT Heir.” Porsche said nervously.
“Shit! I'm sorry!” Ren said frantically, looking over to Porsche for help. “I didn't know you were Kinn Theerapanyakul.”
Kinn smirked, feeling the satisfaction of Ren realizing that Porsche was dating a Theerapanyakul.
“Ren is ok, don't worry about it.” Porsche said. “Right, baby.” he said looking at Kinn.
Kinn faltered. His brain short circuited a bit hearing the pet name. Kinn was no longer jealous of Ren, not because he obviously had more money and wealth than the man, but because Porsche had never given him a reason to doubt his loyalty and love.
“It's fine, Ren” Kinn said, “Any friend of Porsches is a friend of ours.” Kinn finished.
Ren looked relieved.
Porsche was a bit shocked at Kinns demeanor changed. He swore he would have to pull out all his best tricks to placate his jealous boyfriend later. He looked over at the man he loved, who to this day was still always slurping him.
Porsche laced their fingers together once more, softly leaning into Kinns warm body. He looked up at Kinn through his lashes catching his eye. Kinn looked at him quizzically, leaning down to place a soft kiss on his lips. One again the world around them dissipated, the pull they had towards each other was electrifying. Kinn felt the familiar burning in his stomach, looking at Porsches beautiful face.
“God, can you both ever stop,” Vegas groaned.
The night continued pleasantly, Kinn relaxed enough to hold a decent conversation, the table finding out that Ren actually owned the bar and cafe they had gone to earlier in the day.
Porsche was ecstatic, he was so happy Ren was able to fulfill his dream of owning some kind of establishment. Kinn made a mental note to look over their business plan when he got home, hed help Ren out, just this once, and only to show Porsche what a great boyfriend he was. Kinn was sure Porsche would be able to show his gratitude to him somehow.
