The babe looked stupidly small. Smaller than even Rocks' brat had been and Dadan had been one of the few who had been allowed to see him when he was a few months old. To this day she was unsure why Rocks had let her know of his existence. Sometimes she found herself wondering where he was, how he was doing. If his ma' was still alive or not.
And now Garp brought this on her head.
"You still owe me for God's Valley," the Marine grumbled, stealing her sake bottle and taking a deep swing. Funny, she had never seen Garp drinking before. Baterilla must have affected him more than any other battle ever had. More than watching Roger walk to his death.
"Never asked for your help. Coulda just left me there."
Or Dadan is a former Rocks pirate who decided to retire and live her life in peace on Dawn. Trust Garp to mess it all up.

Summary
When Chopper joins them after Drum Island, things don’t change much at first. Sure, it’s nice to have an actual doctor on board. It’s nice that he doesn’t have to rely on Sanji, or go to Nami for a patch-up. Things are the same for a few days after because they’re all still thinking about getting Vivi back home, because Sanji and Nami are still a little shaky and recovering. But after a while, he becomes aware of one crucial detail he’d overlooked so far: Chopper is still a kid.
or: Zoro and Sanji go through the motions of pseudo-parenthood and end up better for it
