Chapter Text

Colors are something that can spark interest. It's what makes the world...the world. Without it, it just loses that special feeling or...specific touch of what makes the world and the people themselves. People like certain colors and that's what makes them unique. However, some people like colors too much...

And one of those people happen to be an idol.

----------------------------------------------------------------

The short idol was sitting in his room, sighing while listening to music until his older brother knocked on the door and let himself in.

???: "Hey. Just checking in."

???: "I'm doing fine."

???: "I know last week was rough. You don't have to lie to me."

The short idol kept silent, knowing full well what happened last week. He didn't even know why the hell he tried hanging himself. He has a successful career, a brother, a grandfather and seems to be doing great. Why did he try that? Not even himself knows why. That not only concerned himself but made him scared of himself. He had no reason to attempt to do such a thing. He doesn't know. It scares him.

???: "Valk!"

The shorter idol flinched as he was pulled away from being drowned in his thoughts.

Valk: "Sorry..."

???: "You don't have to be."

Valk: "Dom...I'm scared."

Dom: "Why...?"

Valk was silent for a moment. Two. Three.

Valk: "I don't know why I attempted..."

Dom couldn't answer that. He didn't know the reason either or the fact Valk didn't know made it worse. Even Valk was worried for himself.

Dom: "I don't know either..."

That didn't help Valk at all. It only made him feel worse.

----------------------------------------------------------

Later on, Valk went on a walk by himself. (He convinced Dom to let him walk alone.) Until he came across someone that was likely dying in an alleyway. Curious, he walked over to the person as the person was coughing up blood.

The color was a hot red.

It satisfied Valk to see the color. He kicked the civilian to the side and grabbed some blood from the puddle. So...mesmerizing. He scooped a bit more blood with his fingers, letting out a satisfied huff. He needed more. He noticed a metal pipe nearby and grabbed it, snickering softly as he held it up above the civilian, to what said civilian screamed weakly in fear. He brought the pipe down on the civilian, killing them with a sickening crunch on the head. He grinned and tore open the head, more sickening noises filling the air, but he didn't mind. He just wanted that wonderful color. He giggled before realizing his phone was ringing multiple times. How was he going to explain this to Dom? He didn't know. He picked up the call and sobbed into it.

Valk: "B-Brother...! I got attacked!"

Dom's voice was in shock.

Dom: "WHAT!? WHERE ARE YOU? I'M ON MY WAY."

Valk: "I-I'm near the alleyway up near Crossroads!"

Soon, Dom picked him up and brought him back home. The two went back inside the mansion as Valk kept 'crying'. Dom sighed in worry and exhaustion.

Dom: "Next time, I'm coming with you on walks."

Valk groaned and crossed his arms.

Valk: "Not cool."

Valk still couldn't get over the fact that someone else's blood color was mesmerizing to him. Was it just him? Probably.

Dom: "Also...clean off that blood."

Did Dom just call it blood? No! It's not blood. It was color. And it still is color! Valk didn't want to make it suspicious, however.

Valk: "Okay..."

After the shower...

Valk was in his room once more, groaning from the lack of color he needed. He needed those colors. He needed it.

Valk wrote letters for all the Phighters, telling them to meet at the brand-new stadium nearby. But first, he needed someone's something.

After getting to Lost Temple...

He went towards Sword's house; he broke in and looked for the sword. He heard Sword wake up and immediately got on top of him, grabbing a pillow and placing it over Sword's face, causing him to squirm. Valk knew he had the advantage since Sword was half-awake. Sword's movements were slowed and eventually stopped. Valk was surprised since he could overpower Sword...which, he could never do. The exception was that Sword was half-awake.

He eventually found the sword and smirked, knowing the Phighters were in for one hell of a show.

6:00 AM.

It was time. He was at the balcony, waiting for the Phighters to arrive. And they did, one by one. Some felt wary and some didn't mind. He announced for some of the Phighters to go in groups and explore the stadium.

Little did they know that the stadium will be where their demise is.
