not to be that person but im going to say this ONE MORE TIME bc i got roasted the last time for the few people that gave me bits of attention. i said it once, i say it again: oscar piastri is probably lgbtq+ and he’s been shoving that to our faces lately.to begin with, he has a partnership with racing with pride, which shouldn’t mean that much but he’s actually part of their main athletes, even made a helmet with them twice since he got into f1.
since 2021, his last year as a f2 driver and last year publicly dating, oscar has been asked COUNTLESS TIMES (and believe it or not this is abt to be asked again)about his love life, and he never once used the word “girl” or “woman” to talk about it, he always says “person”, proofs? boy do i have them, 2022 this or that video with daniel, he says that what matters the most “is the person’s mind and personality”, still 2022 but the painting each other video, oscar says his ideal type is: “someone who has good humor, probably different from me […] they should also bare with my mess”, and this is just THE TIP of the iceberg. im not even mentioning prema oscar bc bOY.
also, lemme remember that oscar was one of the few (and when i say few, i mean 3) drivers that stood up when fia tried banning the “love is love” campaign, he even used the shirt right the other day and said that even though people might be mad the sport needs to take its place and show it’s safe for everyone. LITERALLY SAID THAT.
now oscar’s been walking around w lando, allegedly traveled during the triple header to spend some time PLAYING GAMES W THAT MAN, invited him to mclaren’s garage (you can’t tell me they woke up one day and decided that lando was the one visiting them), and lando even got to be on the backstage of the fan meeting. fans gave him some bracelets and he kept them (ik he might be just polite but still, he’s been seeing w an oscar bracelet), and now, to make it even more obvious, they are traveling together. summer break. summer break and they are traveling around the world together. tell me that’s not gay gay gay

Lando: Okay! We just reached the first two hours! Damn, the house ‘s looking good.
Max: It’s almost like I spent the whole live building it while you and Ginge mopped around and got killed by Creepers! Wow!
Ginge: Uh— that’s not true! I got you six packs of wood, you bastard! And why’s the house that big, are we inviting the whole Quadrant team?
Lando: (Dying in laughter)
Max: The house is big because I don’t want to be near you guys!
Lando: Alright, this ‘s asking for music, let them argue while we play something, shall we? (Looking at the camera) ‘kay, chat, song recs right now! (Clicks on screen and opens music app)
Max: Lando, you with us?
Lando: Yeah, just choosing some song, wait a sec. (Rolls over random playlist), my songs are just mixed, country music and house music all over the playlists. Now I have to listen to house music everyday, besides working with it. (Sighs)
Ginge: And why is that?
Lando: (Blushes) I’m, uh— sharing my acc so… yeah, it gets like this. (Hears a thud coming from the background and raises an eyebrow looking at the door.)
Max: Oh, mate, did yah watch the race this weekend?
Lando: (Rolls eyes) I did, yeah, of course you’d bring that up.

Lando: Okay Max, are you done? (Interrupts)
Max: (Giggling) Sorry, but how was it? Good results?
Lando: (Looks at his screen) You’re not letting that go, ‘re you? (Sigh) I— yeah, the results were good, Belgium seems like a fun track and the uh— the podium was nice, some important moment for McLaren, y’know?

Lando: Uh— (blushes harder and Max laughs through the speaker) it’s important because they got a driver on the podium, and points for the team in general.
(Another thud heard in Lando’s background)
Lando: Am I insane? (Gets up and goes to the door, opening it and talking to someone that can’t be seen) You okay? I heard something. (Muffled voice saying “yeah”) Are you trying to cook? Please don’t set the kitchen on fire, (Lando giggles and the person answers “Alright, mate, I’m not that bad”) just be careful. (Lando comes back smiling by himself)
Max: What’s that?
Ginge: Yeah, you have company you dirty bastard! Might as well invite them to our house because there’s five rooms!
Lando: (Laughing hard, not sure if it’s about the joke or awkward laughing) So, uh, let’s go? We have to collect things for the portal, right?
Ginge: The whole nether could come live with us!
Max: ‘S not even that big, it’s an average Minecraft house!
Lando: Oh shit, I just died falling down a mountain.
Max: Could you please stay still for at least five minutes? We’re supposed to explore together.
Lando: Yeah but— (two knocks on his door and Lando gets up)
(Someone at the door hands him a plate and a cup with black liquid—supposedly coke. Lando says something about looking tasty but not pretty and the person—looking like a man—laughs and huffs his hair. Lando asks for them to wait and puts the plate on his desk, the content being a pile of pancakes, some looking a bit darker than they should. Lando goes back to the door and gets on the tip of his toes to—kiss?— the stranger.)
(Muffled voice): Don’t stay ‘til late.
Lando: Won’t! Thank you again. (He comes back to camera, for a second, it’s possible to see Oscar in the back) I got pancakes! Whomp whomp!
Ginge: Not fair, did you make them?
Max: No, mate, his race winner boyfriend did.
Lando: (Chokes) We technically are not— (coughing) Max! You can’t say— (drinks his coke) oh, gosh. Oh well. (Looks at camera), guess I’ll see you… later?
Max: Man, McLaren PR team must hate you by now.

Grid Walk: The wizard of Oz, get to know the second time race winner, Oscar Piastri.
One exciting moment for Oscar Piastri, the young talent driving for McLaren, along with his teammate Alex Albon. Piastri is on his third season in Formula 1, and we had the pleasure to talk with the championship contender in person. Oscar just got his second win of the season in Baku, after a very strong race and a difficult qualifying.
So, Oscar, as you recently achieved your second win, how does it feel?
Well, it actually feels pretty good. The car was nice, team did a pretty good job fixing the stuff I’ve been breaking. So, yeah, it’s awesome to finally accomplish something that I wanted since I was a child, the winning, I mean. Yeah, pretty nice, better than Hungary I must say!
How did you celebrate it? Must’ve been really special.
Uh, it was actually not that huge. Got humbled by George very quickly, the feeling of a race winner didn’t last much.
Who’s your best friend on the grid?
I’d say Max, now that Logan is out. We get along pretty good, uh, also Zhou Guanyu, we play basketball from time to time and it’s the few times where I can feel like a real winner. But in general, I don’t think there’s any driver that I don’t like.
You mentioned Baku being a better win than Hungary, why does it feel like that for you?
During the double header we had a problem in my car, that led me to feel not all that comfortable driving, and the— uh… pressure? Yeah, I was starting to feel it hard on my shoulders. The championship and all. Since Formula 2, I’ve been trying to deal with my head space in a better way, recognizing mental health was taking the best out of me, and during Baku I had that better settled in me.
Took you some time to get that, ha ha! Oscar, you’re quoted as a very chill guy in Formula One, but are you really? How do you keep yourself calm during times like these?
To be honest, I’m not a person that gets affected easily. I see a problem and try to fix it the best way possible, keeping myself focused and feet on the ground, of course I have people that help me with that. I try not to care when people try digging into me or my loved ones, works very well most of the time. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, I get upset, frustrated even, but I’ve been trying to not let that affect me or my performance.
Is there anything that gets you really mad? Ha ha!
Well yeah— ha ha ha! I mean— I’m not a huge fan of media, I don’t like when people try breaking into my personal space. I’m very private with my relationships and would like to keep it that way. It’s harder now. When you’re in junior career, even when you have a good year, the amount of media you get is not even comparable to the attention in Formula One.
You seemed to travel a lot during break, are you looking forward to doing it again? After Singapore.
Pretty much. There’s some places that I’d like to see during that time of the year, although lately I’m not choosing where I go.
Any suggestions?
Uh… I went to France with Lando so he could do a thing of his, nice place, then we left and went to visit some beach, also Montenegro. But yeah, he’ll probably be the one planning and scheduling flights again. I’m not that organized with traveling, I just see an image somewhere on internet and I’m like, “Oh yeah let’s try going there.”
As a Formula One driver, your job requires lots of traveling, do you still like to do it when you have free time? Is it different getting flights for hobby and not for work?
Yea, it’s always good, to uh— visit places with people you care for, people you love, it’s a different perspective of it. But I do like to stay home, enjoy time together with my boyfriend and family. Yeah, that’s basically it. Not much of a hobby, I’m still working on that, ha ha! Padel didn’t work well, and uh, now I can cook a proper meal but not a hobby either. Still searching.
