“Sonic! NO!”
“CHAOS CONTROL!”
“Sonic.”
With a single minded focus Shadow reached out for the blue hedgehog only to find himself stopped by a red gateway. He pushed against the expanding orb of light with all his might, but he could not break through. Eventually he saw a streak of blue and red dart through the sea of colors.
“Sonic! It’s broken! It’s all broken!”
Shadow couldn’t get another word in before a massive shockwave blew him away.
Shadow awoke to a flicky pecking him as if he was seed on the ground. He shooed the creature away. When Shadow looked up to see it retreat, he finally caught a glimpse of his environment.
The dark hedgehog found himself in a massive jungle. The sunlight barely filtered through the canopy, casting most of the forest in darkness. He scanned the area and found a familiar landmark in the distance.
The loop de loop.
“This is…what happened to Green Hill?”
Before he could ponder further, his enhanced hearing picked up on voices coming towards him. Not wanting to take any chances Shadow skated and crouched behind a bush.
“Remember not to make a sound. The monster could be anywhere.”
Rouge? No, that's not her. She would never wear dark green eyeshadow.
Shadow scrutinized the group who suddenly appeared. Although they looked like the residents of Green Hill, something was…off, about them. The one that looked like Rouge was much more serious than the one he knew and clearly a lot less fashionable. Although he could say the attempt was made, it was nothing compared to what Rouge could do with a contour palette and some eyeliner.
“Prim! I found one!”
Ah, so that was her name.
The one who called for her looked a lot like Knuckles, except a bit more paranoid.
Actually, scratch that. He’s seen how Knuckles gets when anyone goes within 10 feet of the Master Emerald.
They had two more companions with them, a two tailed fox, and a massive purple cat. He couldn’t help but wonder, since they resembled his old…acquaintances, it should stand to reason there were two more missing from their group. The pink hedgehog and…
Sonic.
Shadow suspected the blue hedgehog was behind this twisted version of the land he called ho-, his running grounds. After all, it was right after he’d shattered the prism Shadow found himself in the void.
It seems Shadow would have to take matters into his own hands.
If this whole mess was caused by the prism, they would most likely need the prism to find a solution.
And there was no way in hell he was letting Sonic get his hands on it again.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-OOF!”
Sonic crashed into Boscage Maze with a resounding thud.
As he looked up he found many spears being pointed at him.
“Rebel? Is that you?”
