Free to restore himself to the timeline, the dark half of Solaris finds…the world well and truly has forgotten he ever existed and doesn't care, his continued existence is ever-unstable without the help of a human scientist, Soleanna is a tourist trap, Shadow is never going to bother to learn his name, Silver is a little too easy to manipulate still, rent’s not free, the Iblis-sized whole inside- well, next to- his soul is forever hollow, and while it's easy to convince a blank slate of a world you're the hero, the list of cons to maintaining that hustle is actually really annoying.
Oh, and he's not even the biggest fish (godlike being) in this pond (Earth and space and time and the whole of existence, are you kidding him) anymore.
