Poseidon sat on a throne in his underwater palace as a storm raged outside. No longer was the storm just on the surface. The earth was shaking, and the underwater world was breaking to pieces.
The earth was shaking, and Poseidon was not the one shaking it.
He had known this moment was coming and feared the potential of it for years. But after the decision his brother had made at the last meeting of the gods, he had known it would come any day. Time often moved quickly for him, as a god, years passed by like days; however, this past week the seconds had ticked on like hours.
Waiting.
