It was full moon tonight.
The first few months after they started hooking up, Piers would steadily disappear for a few days during full moon. Only after a while Leon managed to pry the reason from him: Not only did he shift into full wolf form every time the full moon hit, he didn’t think he trusted himself around Leon during that time. At first Leon thought it was some kind of an aggression thing, uncontrollable animal bloodlust, but once Piers got flustered and stammered out some half-formed explanations it suddenly clicked.
It wasn’t bloodlust. Just a whole lot of regular lust. And Leon had known immediately that he was fully on board this new development.

Summary
Hi, do you remember those like "Lisanna replaces Lucy in Team Natsu, and now abandoned Lucy has to get revenge" fanfics? Because holy shit, so do I! Those were a massive part of my childhood. I've grown up, and I wanted to write a love letter to that genre of fics, but with no Lisanna bashing, just two girls who are compared to each other. No guild bashing either, just misunderstandings and the weight of perceived expectations.
Or: Before, when Lisanna was still dead, Lucy didn't mind people saying they were similar. In fact, she took it as a compliment that they saw a bit of their dead loved one in Lucy. Now that Lisanna is back, however, it's different.
