"From this day forward, I will be the one to lead the White Fang."
Sienna Khan watched as White Fang mercenaries, her own friends and allies, emerged from the shadows with guns pointing at her, cocked and ready to fire.
"If you think I'll just step aside and follow beneath you're wro-!"
CLANG!
Sienna Khan was shocked by the sudden assault Adam made, but sighed in relief at the sight of her champion, defending his queen as she had trained him to.
Adam struggled against the human's shield. After being pushed away, Adam shifted his stance to a ready position.
"Seeking the aid of humans? Your hypocrisy is unbecoming of you. Truly I'm the only one fit to rule the White Fang!"
"Aid?" Sienna chuckled to herself. "No, he is more than an empty promise ally, like you have chosen." At these words, Sienna turned her gaze to Hazel, who merely stood there, cross-armed and watching.
"Then why is this human here?! You claimed my alliance faulty and doomed to fail!"
Sienna stepped forward to her champion's side. She stroke her hand along his cheek as she spoke, his form unshifting. "Because you seek their help solely for destructive purposes." Sienna stopped stroking and glared at Adam with contempt. "I, on the other hand, have found another use for their talents. Though physically weaker, the willpower a human possesses is something of legend. I seek to to tap into this legendary potential."
Adam growled at the human who towered over him. He stood atop the stairs, a cold gaze judging from above. This human thought himself better, or perhaps he thought Adam lower. In either case, her 'champion' was young, inexperienced. He would be no match for Adam's skill. Adam held the upper hand. Or should he say, hands.
"Brothers and sisters of the White Fang, kill the false queen and her so-called knight!"
Guns were trained above the top staircase, some pointing directly at Sienna, but most were locked onto her knight. It seemed hopeless. By his blade or their bullets, Sienna Kahn would die by the hands of those she trusted.
"Lay down your weapons!"
The bellowing voice echoed throughout the chamber. Hazel raised his brow. Adam narrowed his. Sienna's were raised in surprise.
This was the first time he spoke since she found him. Beaten and bloody, abandoned by his friends, and filled with hatred and vengeance, Sienna found the young man and saw fit to aid him. Normally, she wouldn't care to help a healthy human, but she would never abandon those dying. "Help me." His words were so weak and raspy, but still held life.
Sienna tended to his wounds. She never knew his name as he never told her and she never asked. Her introduction was much less silent. "I am Sienna Kahn, and from this day forward, you shall serve me!" He merely bowed, silently swearing loyalty to her.
"Lay down your arms, and you shall not be punished!"
There was silence for what felt like an eternity. The tension was thick and made breathing difficult. Very difficult.
CLICK. CLATTER.
To the far end, near the entrance, on the right side. A girl set her gun on the ground and held her hands up.
CLICK. CLATTER.
Another. Next to Hazel, a boy set his gun down as well, mimicking his sister.
CLICK. CLICK. CLATTER. CLATTER. CLATTER.
One by one, every White Fang member lowered their gun until only Adam and the knight stood with blades in their hands. Adam saw the situation had turn dire. He was outnumbered. Perhaps not outmatched with Hazel on his, but his alliance with the man was shaky enough as it was. Adam doubted his aid would arrive at all.
Adam sheathed Wilt and Blush, turning towards the exit. "I see no reason to serve under such weak and hypocritical leadership. I resign from this White Fang and will seek to create my own." Adam began walking towards the exit. "You betray the will of our people. You are all traitors in the eyes of the White Fang."
Hazel followed after, taking one last look at the man who saved these White Fang members. 'Salem will want to hear about this.' He continued his way out the door. This would be the last he would seen them.
Once the intruders left, Sienna looked to her once-more loyal allies. "As stated earlier, you will not be punished. However, know that you have shamed yourselves with your cowardice. Not just to me and not just to Adam, but to your own cause for peace. Now, leave us, all of you!"
The guards shuffled behind their once-old, now-new allies. They had shut the doors on their way out.
Sienna Kahn moved around and stood before her champion, her knight, her hero. She smiled. "I don't believe you ever told me your name." No answer, save for his piercing blue eyes meeting her dark amber ones. "Would you please tell me?"
"My name is Jaune." He said plainly. "Jaune Arc."
"Then allow me to reward you, Jaune Arc." Before he could respond, Sienna wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips to his. He returned in kind, placing his hands on her cheeks. "For you have earned it."
