“Harper Row currently operating as Bluebird,” Bruce tapped onto the computer. “Coming from an abusive situation she was forced to adapt,” He paused holding up one of her homemade tasers. “That situation despite being so horrible gave her a great gift, the gift of ingenuity."
He put down the taser. “I met her by accident. Her and her brother were about to be bullied and I stepped in but little did I know that she would be so grateful she started to get involved in this lifestyle. One day after escaping the Court of Owls I found myself awoken on the side of the river Harper having resuscitated me with a homemade defibrillator.” He pulled out a defibrillator wrapped in plastic, something he had kept to study.
“Over the course of the next month Harper managed to come across both Batman and Bruce at random points. It was clear that Harper wouldn't involve herself in crimefighting despite my attempts to dissuade her. How she saw Bruce was a different story. She at first believed that I was all talk about the revitalization project.” He paused, rubbing his chin. “Her first outing as Bluebird was alongside Red Robin and I watched as she showed promise in not only crimefighting but her way of saving people. I was forced to admit defeat and let her work alongside us, but now years later she has become an intrinsic part of the family.”
Harper stared at the screen unsure what to say knowing Bruce praised her that highly.

Notes: I like to imagine Bruce helps pay for her apartment and she has a job at Wayne Enterprise helping create new technology to help people
