Chapter Text
When ekko got back the first thing he expected to see definitely wasn't jinx trying to blow herself up. He thought he might get a few moments of silence at least first but there she was, her hair still in her braids but the metal removed. She stood at the ledge holding a bomb. It was the same sort of bomb she had killed her family with. Ekkos brows furrowed in worry, he didn't have long and it would take a lot of convincing for Jinx to back down.
“wait!” Ekko called out, causing jinx to look up.
He wasn't there before was he? It didn't matter anyways she thought as she pulled the pin.
Ekko pulled on the z drive to try a different approach. He was there for hours trying to convince her not to do it before on the 444th try it wasn't the bomb that made the flash. The z drive made a bright flash of light that surrounded jinx and ekko encapsulating them in the purest white. Jinx was confused, she hadn't pulled the trigger so what caused the sudden flash? She spotted Ekko's weird device at his side glowing faintly. Before they were suddenly succed into a hole that seemed like a long tunnel.
“Ekko, what's happening?” Jinx said fear was eating into her heart.
“Ok jinx don't freak out but we might be getting teleported to another dimension. Don't freak out and Try not to draw attention to yourself. I'll find you near–” the last part of ekko's sentence got cut off by them being brought down two different paths.
Shortly After they Split up the end of the wormhole tube thingy opened up.
Jinx landed at the top of a water tower. She had a rough landing so her heavy coat almost weighed her down. Her coat was filled with all of her guns and bombs.
“What was it ekko said again?” she thought out loud. “oh yeah!” she exclaimed while doing that finger snappy thing, “cause a big scene so he can find me!”
Jinx started rigging the water tower with bomb apon bomb.
Meanwhile with ekko:
Ekko landed right on top of what seemed to be a large glass building. Across from him there was a boy who was around his age. He sat near the edge staring out, almost as if he was looking for something.
Ekko felt a pang in his heart because he knew that feeling better than anyone. He knew the look on someone's face when they were longing for someone that could never be there's.
Ekko slowly approached the young man who didn't seem to notice him but if he did he didn't care.
“Hey man do you mind if I sit here”
“No, sit wherever” the young boy said.
“I'm ekko, what's your name?”
“Miles, Miles Morales” said miles who showed ekko a faint smile.
“so.. who's the girl..or boy, I don't judge” ekko shrugged at the last part
“it's a girl. Her names gwen. She seemed to light up my life and now she's gone.” miles smile faded as abruptly as it came, almost as if the words gwen were like a curse.
“what about you” miles continued “you have the same look about you.. spit it out” he teased the white haired boy
“her names jinx, well it used to be powder but you know. I've always loved her but I don't even know if she feels the same” ekko was about to continue his sentence before something erupted in the distance.
BOOM! (idk how to write bombs use your imagination)
In the distance clouds of pink and blue shot up into the sky. Ekko swore under his breath
“uhm dude you ok” miles asked seemingly unconcerned about the explosion.
“no I am not ok, I don't think jinx is either judging by the bombs she just set off.” ekko mumbled
“uhm if that's her then we better get going she'll probably have the police and some weird supervision dudes soon if we don't get to her first” miles said worried
The duo set off. Miles using the spider webs and ekko on his hover board.
