Rei handed a drink to Kaina and sat across from her.
"Did Endeavor not want to be here?" asked Kaina.
Rei shook her head. "Oh, we live separately. I accompany him for events, but other than that, we don't see each other. It's for the best, really."
Kaina nodded. "Sounds reasonable."
The two continued to talk, touching on various topics. Eventually, Kaina found herself sitting next to Rei, their shoulders touching.
"Now, I can't help but notice..." Rei started. "You seem to be very affectionate."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"...Not necessarily."
With that, they leaned into each other more.
