Chapter 2: the horse and the infant

Summary:

uhm lifestealers in the horse and the infant yeah

The Greeks prepares themselves to attack the Trojans. While the other people are conversing and planning, Ash seems to be lost in thoughts. He can't help but think of his family. He left his wife, Squiddo with their newborn son, Spoke and can only hope that they haven't forgotten about him. It's been a decade since they last saw each others after all.

Red sits down next Ash looking worried "hey, are you okay?" he asked.

"What? I'm fine, Red. why wouldn't i be?" Ash replied, he sounded pissed off.

"Well you've been staring at the wall for a bit now.." Red teases.

"There's just a lot of things on my mind right now." Ash said and he stood up and walked to the other soldiers, ignoring whatever Red has to say.

"Alright my everyone listen closely! Tonight, we'll make the Trojans pay. Ten years of war they've killed us slowly but now it we'll be the ones who slay! Your families wondering where you've been, they're growing old and yet your still here. Do what i say and you'll see them again."

The soldiers seems to listening so Ash continued.

"Reddoons will lead the charge, ECorridor you'll will flank the guards, SB will open the gates to let us take the whole city at large, Blockfacts will shoot any ambush attack and Jepex uh you'll just stay back... Woogie will secure Helen and protect her, Pentar, avenge your father, kill the brothers of Hector."

The Greeks attacks the Trojans.

An image of someone stabbing Ash flashes through his head. "Arghhh... what was that?" he said.

"A vision of what is to come, cannot be outrun, can only be dealt with right here and now" a mysterious voice said to Ash, thunder can be heard nearby.

"tell me how?" Ash asked

a figure emerges from the shadow. Its the king of the gods himself, Branzy.

"I don't think you're ready, a mission to kill someone's son, a foe who won't run, unlike anyone you have faced before" Branzy replied

"say no more! i know that im ready" Ash says

"I don't think you're ready..." Branzy said

Branzy guilds Ash to a room, there is a crib in the middle of it and Ash carefully approaches the crib and sees a baby inside, he realizes that he has to kill a literal baby.

"It's just an infant, it's just a boy. What sort of threats does he pose that I cannot avoid?" Ash asked Branzy

"This is the son of none other than Troy's very own prince Hector but know that he will grow from a boy to an avenger. One fumed with rage as you're consumed by age. If you don't end him now, you'll have no one left to save. You can say goodbye to... Squido" Branzy said

"I can raise him as my own!" Ash says

"He will burn your house and throne"

"Or send him far away from home and make sure his past is never known!" Ash says

"The gods will make it known"

"Im begging please." Ash says

"This is the will of the gods!" Branzy says

"Please dont make me do this..." Ash begged

"The blood on your hands is something you won't lose, all you can choose is whose" Branzy says
