“You’re a friendly guy, I’m not going to deny that, but the instant connection between you and Rudo is big even for you,” Semiu said, looking over when Guita squealed as she narrowly avoided Remlin’s touch as the tagger. Rudo was panting and his cheeks were bright red against his pale skin with exertion but he looked to be having the most fun he’s had in a very long time.
“What are you getting at, Semiu?” Enjin sighed, dropping his head backwards to look at Semiu upside down.
“I want to know why,” Semiu said, looking down her nose at Enjin. “It doesn’t make sense to me.”

Penetrating amethyst eyes staring directly into the carmine of Rudo’s own.
“Sphereite,” his voice was deep - like the reverberating rumbles of the earth itself as monsters erupted from the alps of trash - and Rudo couldn’t break his gaze, “do you wish to return to your heaven?”
What if Enjin wasn't there at No-Man's-Land when Rudo fell?
...What if it was someone else with far deeper intentions who found him instead?
