Forbidden Holiness

Summary:

Jimin, an angel, meets Yoongi, a demon, and because of destiny's forces (or maybe, their own desire), they always find their way back to each other.
You can try to fight destiny, but you will never win a fight against your own heart.

This is very painfully clearly inspired in Good Omens, but I took the dynamics of the characters and made the story take its own path. Please don't expect something as good or deep as GO because I'm just a very stressed University student who is emotionally attached to Good Omens and BTS and YoonMin.

Notes:

HIHIHI I'm back! If you've read a fanfic of mine before, welcome back. If you've never seen me anywhere before, welcome!
This fanfic will be a calm and progressive love story during most of its duration, until the climax — which, of course, will eventually come. The story is structured to begin /literally/ at the beginning of time and will advance as Jimin and Yoongi encounter each other throughout the years. I will probably post two or three situations set in particular years every day until we reach the climax, and then we'll go one chapter at a time.

Hope you really like this story. As always, pardon me if I make any mistakes, English isn't my first language, and I accept any constructive criticism :)
Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Beggining of Time

Chapter Text

"That's rough." A black-haired demon mumbled beside him. Jimin, the angel, jumped in his place.

"Excuse me?"

"You don't think so?" The demon frowned. "The only thing they did was to bite an apple, and then, suddenly, they're thrown out of Eden, and shame on you, and... I think that was a bit of an exaggeration. Don't you think?" He seemed to babble a lot.

"Well... It is a little bit rough... But they shouldn't have bitten that apple! That was God's only request!"

"But why would They put a whole tree in the middle of Eden with the juiciest fruit if They weren't going to let the humans eat it?"

"That isn't our question to ask! God has a plan, and It's perfect. We are nobody to question Them."

"You don't know why They did it, do you?" A grin formed on the demon's lips. The angel looked away and bit his lip.

"It doesn't matter what I know. Besides, why are you asking so much? I could swear you're the one to blame here."

"Oh, am I?"

"Yes! Weren't you the one who tempted them to eat the apple?"

"Oh, no, no. Not my department; that was another demon. I'm just here to... Enjoy the show..." He said, checking out the angel. Jimin huffed. "And you? Are you here for the show, too?"

"No, I was... I was responsible for maintaining the peace between the animals in Eden, so when I heard that the humans were... Well... Banished... I felt guilty, and I decided to check on them, just in case anything went wrong."

"Oh, so you're planning on interfering in God's perfect plan, don't you?"

"I-It's not interfering! It's... Helping a little... They wouldn't be in this position if I hadn't been distracted. If I had been there... Maybe the temptation wouldn't have worked."

"Well, you can see it like that... Or you can see it as a part of God's perfect plan."

"... I did nothing wrong then?"

"Exactly. You're an angel, after all; you can't be blamed for bad things because you can't do bad things."

"Oh... Thank you..." The blond angel sighed in relief, looking sideways at the demon.

They had initiated something that couldn't be stopped without even noticing it.
