Sky flopped down onto the grass, exhausted from the day of travelling the Chain had just done.
"I guess we're setting up camp here." Time chuckled. "Wind? Can you get some sticks for kindling?"
Wind didn't respond, his attention had been drawn to a small grey object that fell out of Sky's pocket as he fell onto the grass. Wind crouched down to it.
"Hey Sky? What's this?" He carefully picked up the small stone statue.
"Hm? Ah! That's my miniature goddess statue. Sun carved it for me, with some help from the masons in Skyloft. She gave it to me after my adventure, it's sort of a good luck charm. It also lets me talk to her, since she's Hylia reincarnated and all." Sky smiled, taking the small statue from Wind.
"Heh, that's actually pretty sweet." Legend, the resident Goddess hater, admitted. The rest of the Chain shared his sentiment.
Except Wild.
Wild stood silent.
"Wild? Are you ok?" Sky watched the now very still champion.
"C- could I see that a moment?" Wild reached his hand out slowly.
"Everything alright Champ?" Warriors asked as Sky handed the statue to Wild.
The statue was almost pristine. Obviously often cleaned, and looked after carefully but there was a long crack trailing from the base up to where the right wing connected to the statue's back.
Wild's free hand moved down to his slate and unclipped it, placing it on the floor and scrolling quickly through items. He tapped the screen and blue tendrils drifted towards his free hand.
Another small statue appeared in his hand, this one worn and weathered. The rock smoothed by time and moss had claimed parts of the base.
"Oh cool! You both have statues!" Wind grinned.
"No..." Wild muttered. "We have the same statue." Wild rotated the worn statue around so everyone could clearly see the matching crack working it's way up to the wing of the statue.
"Ok. How? There's no way a tiny statue could have lasted that long." Legend leaned over Wild's shoulder, trying to get a better look at the two stone statues.
"No idea. I found mine tucked in a wooden chest behind the big goddess statue at the Spring of Courage during my adventure." Wild nearly whispered.
"Weird, like the Skyview Spring?" Sky pulled out a pictograph of him and Sun at the Spring.
"Similar, mine is more... jungle-y." Wild pulled up a photo of the lightning-ridden Spring.
"Woah, that's epic!" Wind grinned.
"It's great until you're running through dense trees praying to Hylia and the Three that you don't get struck. Lighting hurts." Wild sighed.
"And we're unpacking that. What do you mean you've been struck by lightning?!" Hyrule cried, panic and tiredness mixing in his tone. Wild laughed.
