The wizard is Elphaba's full dad in this and he wants to kill off half the population, it’s dramatic but that's just what the kingsman villains be doin and I respect that

Chapter Text

Glinda looks out at the road before her, mindlessly thinking to herself when she hears the crackle of her ear piece turning on and the directional voice of a familiar man in her ears.

“Good evening gentlemen.” Dillamond says to both her and Fiyero before going on to explain their objective. “As we all know, King Oscar plans on releasing a neurotoxin into the world food supply, specially engineered to only take out half of the population.” He reminds the agents who both scowl. "He is hosting a dinner with every single one of his stooges.” They all laugh. “We believe this night to be when he plans on releasing the toxin, making it our top priority. His daughters, Princess Nessarose and Princess Elphaba will both be in attendance at tonight’s Gala. We need you to find out where and when he is hosting this dinner.” He states to the agents.

“Fiyero, you are to find Princess Nessarose. Glinda, You are to find princess Elphaba. One of them must have some information on their fathers inner circle. Find out everything that you can.” Dillamond says, displaying a photo of the women for each of them to see in their glasses. “You are not to raise suspicions. Your only goal is to obtain the information and leave.”

“Understood.” They both state and Dillamond's connection crackles out.

“Okay.” Fiyero breathes out as they pull into the valet line.

“Are you ready?” Glinda asks.

“This is probably one of our less risky missions, so yeah, we got this.” Fiyero says, fist bumping Glinda just before stepping out of the car and passing the keys to the valet.

Once they make it inside the gala, he asks both his partner and Dillamond, “Where do you think we’ll find them?”

“Nessarose is usually socialising with guests while Elphaba is known to hide at these events, or more so, keep a low profile. You will likely not find her in a crowded area. Nessarose will likely be near the social hubs. The bar, the ballroom, anywhere that is crowded. I am running facial recognition as we speak.” The two of them notice the change in their view as every single face is highlighted by red or green boxes, scanning for the women.

Glinda shrugs while straightening out her jacket. “We better start looking.” She says and the two of them head off in opposite directions.

Glinda glances over the faces in the crowded ballroom as she makes her way to the more secluded spaces where she intently looks at each and every person. Across the room she notices her partner already caught up in a conversation. But his princess is nowhere to be seen. She playfully rolls her eyes and continues on, politely greeting those she spends too much time staring down as her glasses catch up with the faces she passes by. After twenty minutes of searching, she turns her head at the exact moment that two people move, revealing the eldest daughter of the king.

The woman is standing off to the side, absentmindedly watching the patrons around her. Glinda straightens herself out, plucks a glass of champagne from a server passing her before propelling herself forward. She inserts herself into a conversation with three people standing just a few feet from the princess. As planned, the people find her intrusion strange and politely take their conversation elsewhere, leaving her mostly alone with the intended target.

She hears Dillamond in her ear. “Looks like you beat Fiyero.” Sure enough, Glinda's view of Fiyero reveals him in yet another conversation, without his princess. She scoffs out a quiet laugh before snapping herself into working mode.

“My, what a lovely dress you have on.” She starts, turning carefully towards Elphaba who barely spares her a glance. “Who made it? Frune? Vaulnal?” She lists the infamous designers.

Elphaba glances back at her, sipping her drink after she answers, “I made it.”

“Did you really?” She then steps closer, fully engaged.

Elphaba nods. “I have a lot of time on my hands.”

Glinda was planning on pretending like she has no idea who the woman is but when they finally lock eyes, deep green brings the words out of her before she can stop herself.

“I assumed princesses were incredibly busy.” She scolds herself internally, she never slips up, much less on such a mundane mission. Now that Elphaba is aware she knows who she is, this makes her mission slightly more difficult.

Elphaba scoffs out a laugh. “Well when you have an entire estate to yourself, it gets to a point where all there is to do is pick up random trades.”

“Well if you are this talented, then you might be excited to know that I am a tailor.” She proudly informs her, straightening out her collar and lifting her head.

Elphaba raises her brow, unconcerned. “And that would excite me because?”

“You make dresses, I fix suits. Seems like a match made in heaven to me.” She juts her neck out ever so slightly and watches a reluctant smile sneak its way onto the princesses face.

“I told you, It’s a hobby, nothing more.” Elphaba leans away, making Glinda slightly frown.

“Well, still, you are incredibly talented, Princess.” She grins and Elphaba rolls her eyes in response. She takes an uninterested sip from her drink and eyes Glinda once, ending with a slight glare.

“What do you want from me?” She bluntly asks.

Glinda raises her brow. “Why do you think I want something from you?”

“Because, at every single Gala, I have countless men approach me, with the same ‘clever’ ploy to get me to talk to them.” She turns on a subtle mocking voice. “What is the lady drinking? Do I know you from somewhere? What is such a gorgeous woman doing all on her own?” She pretends to gag at her own impressions.

“Well… those are the men you’ve met. Maybe this woman just saw another beautiful woman and had no choice but to speak to her.” Glinda keeps her eyes locked on the princess as she takes a sip of her drink again.

“Then tell me what you would really say to me. If we were not here and you did not know my family.” She lifts her chin, waiting for her to take the challenge.

Glinda clears her throat and throws on a little more of her real personality. “Hi, my name’s Arduenna.” She offers out a handshake, pushing down the slight sting from being forced to use her alias. “I couldn't help but notice that lovely bracelet on your wrist.” Her voice sounds genuine this time, causing Elphaba’s eyes to flick between her face and her hand before she hesitantly returns the gesture, stepping just a little closer.

“Why thank you, it was a gift. I’m Elphaba.” She firmly shakes her hand, both of them allowing the touch to linger while they gaze into each other's eyes.

“You hate these things don’t you?” Glinda sincerely asks.

Elphaba sighs, considering whether or not to give her a genuine answer. “They’re miserable to me. No one truly cares if I'm here or not. But If I’m missing, then my father is asked with questions; and he’d rather make my life difficult before his own.”

Glinda frowns at her confession. She wants to ask her more questions about herself, show her that she’s interested in more than just her status. She’d love to have a real conversation with her and get so lost in their words that Elphaba forgets all about the cassonovas that fall at her feet. But unfortunately her mission is her number one priority and she must force herself to play more into the shallow facade.

“Well I myself am finding this event quite pleasant.” She grins. “I hear the king hosts incredibly exclusive dinners that are even more extravagant than this.” She makes the bold move to place a hand over Elphaba's forearm. “If only you had someone there with you to help keep those pesky boys away.” Glinda leans in, throwing on a charming grin.

She watches as a flicker of intrigue passes over the princesses face before she schools it back to her, now forced, uninterested persona.

“If all you want is an invitation to dinner, you would probably be more interested in speaking with my sister, Nessarose.”

Glinda looks off in thought. “I might talk to her. But, right now…I am still very interested in continuing speaking to you.” Glinda smirks and Elphaba rolls her eyes with the ghost of a smile.

The sudden lull in conversation worries Glinda so she quickly picks it up again. “So… how does the eldest daughter of King Oscar get away with hiding in the corner at the biggest gala of the year? As you said, Princess Nessarose seems to be doing just fine out there.” She nods to where they can both see the other princess happily mingling with the guests, including Fiyero. “Finally.” Glinda thinks to herself.

“Well if your father made you out to be an antisocial recluse, while your little sister is the one placed on a pedestal, I don’t think you would be throwing yourself in front of the people who so blindly believe him either.” Elphaba responds and Glinda hums in thought.

“So…where would you be right now, if not here?”

Elphaba is quick to answer. “At home, reading.”

“And if it was the day?”

Elphaba hums in thought. “Probabaly a hike, or I would be out with my animals.”

“Animals?” Glinda tilts her head.

“Yes, I use my land to house and foster various animals.” She tells her.

Glinda lights up at the noble act. “Do you really? That is amazing!” She smiles, finally getting Elphaba to join her in the expression.

“Yeah, I love it.” Her tone changes to make her words airy and passionate. “Right now, I have five pigs, two horses, four dogs, a deer, and I just found a wounded opossum a few days ago.” She slightly coos.

Glinda feels her openness cause a shift in their energy. She now feels a sort of adoration towards the woman. What was purely physical attraction just moments ago, unexpectedly flips into an entirely new atmosphere.

“And you still have the time to make a dress.” Glinda shakes her head in awe. “How many books do you squeeze between your activities?”

“I am on my second novel of the month, which would make it somewhere in the twenties for the year.” She answers and Glinda’s jaw drops in shock.

“Do you sleep?” She asks, making Elphaba burst into laughter, causing Glinda’s heart to race.

“When I can.” She answers, still recovering from her outburst. She composes herself and turns the question on Glinda. “And what do you do when you’re not a tailor?” She asks with a strange lilt to her tone.

“I enjoy the typical activities. Nowhere near your caliber.” She compliments her once again. “But I like to cook, I dabble in badminton, and I have a dog who enjoys shopping just as much as I do.”

Elphaba laughs. “Oh I bet he does. What else?”

Glinda almost answers with the truth again, but luckily her training kicks back in and she pulls back. “Oh now would you look at who’s interested.” She teases and Elphaba playfully scoffs. When she turns back to her, her eyes have shifted.

“That’s because I already know who you are.” She takes a swig of her drink, watching for a reaction as she does so.

Glinda’s stomach lurches but her face stays neutral. Many people have claimed to know who she is or what she does but none have ever been correct. So she waits to hear what Elphaba is thinking. “Oh you do now?”

“Yes.” Her eyes run over her. “The perfectly tailored suit, the glasses, your inexplicable civilian attendance tonight, and that obnoxiously unwavering confidence that is specific to your profession…” She eyes her up and down then lands on glaring up at her. “It’s probably best that I don’t go on.”

Glinda twitches under her gaze as she feels her silently communicating the rest of her words. She knows, she absolutely knows. The Kingsman secret service is under the utmost discretion, but still, a select few powerful leaders know of the agency, which trickles down to those close to the monarchs.

“My profession? You’re familiar with many tailors?” She deflects. If Elphaba knows who she works for, there's no telling what command her father has her under.

“Very few.” She answers with a knowing grin. “I’ve only encountered them individually…in scenarios eerily similar to this one… all of them dawning that exact ring.” She points at her finger and raises her brows, almost demanding that Glinda tell her the truth.

“Well, I’ll have you know that this ring is quite popular where I’m from. Especially amongst the tailor community.” She looks over the jewelry casually.

“Is it now?” Elphaba hums, not believing her for a second. Glinda watches as Elphaba continues to look her up and down, clearly deep in thought as it passes the point where her pause would be excusable. She then begins to look around, dawning a wicked smirk when she turns back to Glinda.

“Thats your colleague over there isn’t it? Speaking to my sister?” She nods towards them and Glinda's face falters ever so slightly.

“I don’t think I've ever seen him before.” She confidently replies.

“So you’re not here with concerns about my father?” Elphaba vaguely asks.

Glinda bites her tongue as she weighs her options. Reading people is one of the most important parts of her job. Reading a person wrong could mean the difference between life or death. So she pulls all of her training to the front of her mind and bores her eyes into the princess. In this moment, she must choose between confirming her suspicions, which would make her route to the information significantly easier. Or, she can continue to play dumb and slowly continue to work her way towards learning something valuable.

“Are you concerned about your father?” She takes the leap.

This time, Elphaba peers back at her rather than responding. Glinda is unwavering under her gaze, waiting patiently for her reply. The seconds pass as minutes while Elphaba scans her eyes over her, locking on what Glinda immediately knows to be her embroidered logo.

Elphaba's gaze changes when she sees it. Her jaw clenches and her eyes dart back to Glinda’s.

“Listen to me.” She commands, leaning in, causing Glinda to follow her like a magnet. Elphaba changes to a low whisper. “The evening of the twenty-first, our summer estate in Illswater, tell the guards “yellow brick road” that will get you in.” She spits out the information, causing Glinda to force herself to keep her face from lighting up in victory.

She must ask, “Why are you telling me this?”

“Because,” Elphaba leans in close, startling Glinda when she thinks she’s going for a kiss and instead moves to ghost her mouth over her ear. “I don’t care what happens to him. I’ve tried to stop him, but I can't do it alone. So this is how I'm stopping him.” She whispers in an intense voice, making Glinda shudder and nearly miss the information. “Kill him if you have to.” She hisses.

Glinda inhales deeply, trying to force her butterflies back down. “So you know what he’s planning?”

Elphaba nods, gazing back at Glinda with an intense fire that makes her instantly believe every word the princess has said.

“I’ll make a deal with you.” Elphaba removes her bracelet and takes Glinda’s hand. “If you save the world.” She begins to attach the jewelry to the woman's wrist. “Then you can come return this to me and then…” Her eyes trail up Glinda’s body. “we’ll see what I let you do after that.”

Glinda feels all her instincts clash with her undeniable attraction towards the woman and the instant alarm at the offering.

“How do I know there's not a tracker in here?” She shakes her hand around.

Elphaba hums. “I guess you don’t.”

“Well….” Glinda reluctantly removes it. “Then I can’t take this.” She gently hands it back to her.

“Fine.” Elphaba returns it to her own wrist. “Then you can find me yourself once you’ve completed your mission.”

“I’ll accept that challenge.” Glinda lifts her chin. She then glances at Fiyero, who is still speaking to his target, making Glinda smirk, knowing she was much more successful than her partner.

“Well then, princess, I must take my leave.” She picks up her hand and bows to place a kiss to the top of it. “Thank you.” She sincerely whispers, eyes looking up to the woman.

Elphaba simply gives her a firm nod in response, waiting until Glinda drops her hand to pull away. Glinda leaves briskly, but not without keeping her eyes on the princess for as long as she can manage.

She then forces herself to lock eyes with Fiyero, sending him a cocky smirk which he subtly scowls at.

“Well done Glinda.” Dillamond says into her ear.

“Did you doubt me?”

“I doubted the princess would comply.” He answers truthfully. “But I see I made the right choice assigning her to you.” He says and Glinda grins, feeling her heart flutter along with it.

The 21st, Illswater

“Holy shit.” A beat up Fiyero huffs as he and Glinda slide down the wall until they’re slumped from pure exhaustion. The Kingsman authorities swoop into the event, arresting the surviving patrons, starting with the king. Glinda put an end to his plans by knocking him out with a swift kick to his head during their fight, while Fiyero held back those trying to stop her.

“Yeah, holy shit is right.” Glinda concurs, wincing when her adrenaline begins to dissipate and she’s left with the growing awareness of new wounds and forming bruises.

“You got a little...” Fiyero points to his brow to inform Glinda of the gash on her own. She groans and reaches up to touch it, wincing when she makes contact. She tugs her handkerchief out of her pocket and applies pressure. She then closes her eyes, allowing her body to begin to rest when she realises what just happened. She stopped the king…She saved the world…She has a princess to find.

She stands up like there's not an excruciating ripple of pain shooting through her body and starts towards the exit.

”C’mon G, no. Can we just sit for a second?” Fiyero whines.

“I’m not going home.” She tells him, still carrying herself away.

“Then where are you going!?” He yells after her.

“I have very important business to attend to!” She waves, still pressing the cloth to her head.

She gets tunnel vision as she projects the blueprint of the estate into her glasses to begin making her way to the princess. She saw Elphaba earlier that night, but for only a fraction of a second before the woman disappeared, likely because she knew exactly what was going to happen once the agents arrived.

Room after room is empty, causing Glinda to become more desperate as she continues on. She goes up higher into the building until she notices a dim light flickering through the cracks between the door and its frame. Not that none of the rooms had lights on, but this one just feels right. She attributes her gut feeling to her training and she trusts herself completely.

She catches her breath and straightens herself out, shoving her now bloodied handkerchief into her inside pocket and adjusting her tie. She lifts her fist to the door, then pauses, torn between knocking or entering with confidence. She thinks back to the gala, Elphaba seemed quite enticed by the idea of Glinda finding her so she chooses to turn the handle and enter.

Inside, candles and soft lamps illuminate the room where she does indeed find Elphaba patiently waiting with a book in hand.

The woman peeks at her over the pages, her eyes shifting when she processes the agents presence.

“Done so soon?” She asks, slowly placing her bookmark in its place, sliding the book onto the side table.

Glinda approaches her with a confident smile. “I probably spent more time trying to find you in this maze.”

Elphaba laughs. “Good, I wanted you to work for it.” She teases, rising from her seat and walking until they’re standing face to face. They stand there, both of them quietly deciding what to do next. Elphaba makes the choice for them, carefully working her fingers behind Glindas tight tie. “Does this mean you saved the world?” She asks, keeping her eyes on the other woman's neck.

“All of humanity is still here, isn’t it?”

Elphaba gazes up at her with a sultry look in her eye. “Seems to be.” She then notices the large gash across Glinda's brow and reaches up to check on it.

“How did this happen?” She asks, moving to retrieve a wet cloth from the bathroom.

Glinda feels guilt hit her as she’s reminded of what is currently happening downstairs. “Well… a certain king slashed me.” She hesitantly informs the princess just as she returns and presses the cloth to her forehead.

“Did you make him pay for it?” Elphaba asks, causing Glinda's nerves to slightly ease. She automatically assumes that the arrest of her father will be something emotionally devastating, regardless of her feelings towards him but the tone of her voice says otherwise.

“Do you really want me to answer that right now?” She asks, wincing when Elphaba presses a little too hard.

“Yes.” Her answer is sturdy and sure.

Glinda inhales once before going on. “He was arrested. He’s in kingsman custody. He’ll likely never be seen again. Our prison is so highly guarded, I don’t even know where it is.” She admits.

Elphaba's intense eyes turn into deep rooted satisfaction, with a tinge of anger, but not towards her. “Good, he got what was coming to him.” She slowly gains a thoughtful frown that soon turns into a wicked grin. She begins toying with Glinda's collar. “Hmmm…Sleeping with the very agent who foiled my fathers plan to wipe out half of humanity. Quite scandalocious.”

“Oh,” Glinda raises her brows. “We’re sleeping together?”

“You saved the world didn’t you?”

Glinda nods.

Elphaba then leans up, ghosting her lips against the blonde’s. “Then good thing I am a woman of my word.” She whispers, yanking on her tie, crashing their lips together.

Glinda lets out a surprised “Mhmf!” Then before she knows it, Elphaba is unbuttoning her jacket and forcing it off of her shoulders before moving onto her shirt. Once that’s off, Glinda reaches up to remove her tie, which results in a slap to the hand.

“Leave it on.” Elphaba mumbles against her lips as she begins walking them over to the bed, working at Glinda’s pants as they do so. Glinda moans into her mouth, forgetting about any pain she was experiencing just seconds ago. Especially when Elphaba shoves her down onto the bed and crawls into her lap, straddling her.

“Do you still have the energy?” Elphaba whispers as she begins working on her jaw.

Glinda moans. “I saved some just for you, princess.” She places her hands on the woman's hips, curling her fingers into a tight grip, easily lifting her and flipping them over so she’s in control.

Elphaba lands with a soft grunt and Glinda immediately begins attacking her skin while frantically pulling at her clothing until everything is discarded on the floor.

Elphaba opens her eyes and lets out a breathy, “Woah.” Once she lays eyes on Glinda. Years of being a kingsman has perfectly chiseled her body so she has a sixpack, topped with perfect breasts. Elpahaba nearly starts drooling.

“Fuck me.” She gasps, yanking Glinda into another open mouthed kiss.

Their dance starts quick and frantic, Elphaba clambering to touch Glinda while the blonde's hands explore her body. Soft lips and careful teeth nip and press against her, making her squirm. They continue to try to find their bearings, warm hands and soft lips trailing over delicate skin. Until eventually, by pure instinct and a lustful draw, Glinda's hand slips between their bodies until she’s rubbing her fingers carefully over Elphaba's already wet lips. Glinda hums in content at the state she already has the princess in.

“You’re so wet.” She points out.

Elphaba whines, “I’ve been waiting for this for two weeks.” She then takes ahold of Glinda's tie again and yanks her face closer. “Fuck me now, or get out.” She says sternly, which instantly turns Glinda on, causing her to slip a finger inside, and Elphaba to moan.

“I think I’ll stay.” Glinda whispers just before kicking into gear.

They quickly find a rhythm, Elphaba's nails scrape against Glinda’s back as her fingers carefully curl into her. Shallow breaths and deep moans fill the silent room as they fall into the moment. Glinda's eyes are locked on the princess, committing every single expression that crosses her face to memory.

“You’re stunning.” Glinda mumbles into her neck as she begins to curl her fingers deeper, eliciting a guttural moan from the princess. “So pretty.” Glinda kisses her neck.

“Fuck.” Elphaba twists her head away as the overwhelming sensation continues to build.

“That's it princess.” Glinda whispers into her ear. “Just feel it.” She continues to rub at her clit, knowing the woman is just about to be sent over the edge.

Elphaba moans loudly and rocks her hips into Glinda's hand until her eyes squeeze shut and her mouth falls open as she’s forever lost in the sensation. Elphaba's hand grabs hold of Glinda’s tie, yanking her down to kiss her as she reaches her climax. Glinda soon follows after, due to the arousal that hits her the second Elphaba tugs even tighter on the fabric around her neck.

“When are you saving the world next?” Elphaba asks through her attempts to catch her breath.

“I don’t know. But I know where I’ll be when I do.” Glinda grins down at her and Elphaba playfully pushes her face away. ”Oh, I should tell you.” Glinda remembers their original meeting. “Arduenna is my alias. My name is Glinda.”

“Glinda.” Elphaba softly hums, completely unaware of the butterflies her voice caused to enter the blonde’s stomach. “Pretty.” She says, kissing her once again.

3 years later

“Well gooood morning.” Elphaba ecstatically greets her wife when she wakes up to find the woman walking around their room, wearing nothing but her dress pants.

“Don’t get any ideas, I have to leave.” Glinda explains but Elphaba can’t hear a thing as she basically levitates over to the woman who is shuffling through the closet. She walks up behind her, hooking her arms up, cupping both her breasts in her hands, squeezing them as she sighs and Glinda yelps, “Elphaba Upland!”

“Well if you’re leaving, I need something to hold me over until you get back.” Elphaba continues to massage her, causing Glinda to let out a low groan. Glinda could easily melt into her woman, let her do whatever she wants right now but her duty calls her to make them wait. So she takes Elphaba’s wrists and pulls them back down as she grabs her dress shirt and suit jacket.

“Wait.” She says sternly. Elphaba holds in a disapproving groan as she leaves the closet.

Glinda emerges shortly after, dawning the usual perfectly tailored suit, which makes Elphaba weak in the knees every single time she sees it (which is daily).

“How do I look?” She asks, giving her a full body view, spinning around as if the measurements or style has changed.

“Stunning my sweet.” Elphaba carries herself over to the woman, looping her tie over her head. Elphaba always selects her tie. She started doing it once they moved in together. Glinda found it adorable that she chose to create a routine so Glinda has something to remind her of her love while she’s away. Once she secures it, she keeps her grip and pulls Glinda down into a searing kiss.

“Is this a saving the world mission?”

“Mhm.” Galinda mumbles, refusing to waste their time with words. Elphaba begins to trail kisses along her jaw until she reaches her ear.

“You know what you get when you save the world, hmmm?” Elphaba whispers to her, causing Glinda to shudder.

“Mhm, and I will come home to you as quickly as I can, my sweet princess.” Glinda says, more excited than she intended which makes Elphaba chuckle against her neck.

“Good. I’ll be ready.” She hums, lightly kissing just below her ear. Glinda savors her touch for a few moments longer before taking her face in her hands and placing a soft kiss to her lips.

“I love you.” She states. “I’ll tell you when it’s all over.”

Elphaba wraps her arms around her neck and pulls Glinda into a passionate kiss, spelling out “I love you” with her lips.

“Come home.” She whispers with an uncontrollable, stomach churning hint of fear in her voice.

“I will.” Glinda whispers back, kissing her once more.

Everytime Glinda leaves for a mission, Elphaba is left as an anxiety riddled mess while she waits for her to return. When she does, instead of the expected growth in confidence in her wife, Elphaba feels as if they’re scratching away another tally leading up to the inevitable day that Glinda does not return home.

“Please.” She hums once more and Glinda frowns.

“Elphie-baby.” Glinda gazes deeply into her eyes. “Nothing will ever get in my way of coming home to you.”

“Until something does get in your way.” Elphaba frowns.

“Hey.” Glinda places a finger under her chin, and gently lifts so she looks her in the eyes. “When I say nothing. I mean, nothing .” She sees the doubt still simmering in Elphaba's eyes. So she moves her hands to her hips and holds tight, pressing their foreheads together. “You have no idea what I am capable of when someone tries to come between me and my princess.” She says, watching as the fear in Elphaba's eyes morphs back into tenderness.

“Say it again.” Elphaba requests.

Glinda grins. “My princess.”

Elphaba goes weak in the knees. No matter how many times she’s heard her say it, it still has an effect on her. Her stomach flips, her knees buckle, and her heart races. Glinda kisses her one final time.

“I’ll come back my princess,” She kisses her hand. “Without a shadow of a doubt.” and with that, she picks up her disguised weapon and leaves.

For the following two weeks, Elphaba kills the time by being extra attentive to the animals. She always overcompensates when Glinda is away. At this point, the animals likely use her attentiveness as a way to know that she’s gone. She reads through her stack of books, flooding her mind with fantasy stories and new information to keep her from wondering what could be happening to her love right now. The Kingsman agency forbids their agents from making contact with loved ones while they're on a mission. It makes sense to Elphaba. Contacting each other could put both of them in danger but still, it’s never easy not knowing whether Glinda is safe or not.

Elphaba is shuffling around the house, finishing up her deep cleaning tasks when soft footsteps sound behind her. She keeps her back to the noise, knowing exactly what it means. Then, warm hands are sliding around her waist and a soft kiss is placed to the nape of her neck.

“As promised.” Glinda hums. Elphaba tilts her head back until it’s resting on her shoulder. “I’m home my princess.” She whispers.

Elphaba lets out a lazy sigh, simply feeling Glinda behind her, closing her eyes, letting the peace of knowing that she’s safe wash over her.

“Two weeks is unbearable.” She hums, turning around. “But did you save the world?”

“I did.” She barely gets the words out before Elphaba takes her hand and drags her towards their bedroom.
