“Let’s see,” Galinda says as she thinks on where to start. It has to be something smaller. There is no need to change Elphaba completely. Now that they are friends, Galinda can admit that she is quite pretty. Thinking hard, she tugs on her earlobe as a force of habit, which reminds her of the object placed behind her ear. The flower Fiyero gave her, the one that has been annoyingly stabbing at her head, how could she have forgotten? It is perfect.
“Maybe just this,” Galinda removes the flower from her hair and leans over Elphie who is looking up at her with interest (reverence). She places the pink flower behind Elphaba’s ear, the way Fiyero placed it behind hers. She smiles at the pink complimenting the green of the other girl’s skin, “Pink goes good with green.”

Summary
Glinda’s heart stutters in her chest as she quickly turns toward the clock on the wall. Ten minutes before the presentation. Five minutes to get to the meeting room. She has spent too much time preparing, too many nights reviewing her notes, too many hours going through every possible question her boss might ask. She cannot afford to let Elphaba waste even another second of her time.
Her hands curl into fists as she considers her options. If she lunges for it, Elphaba will see it coming. If she tries to negotiate, Elphaba will only toy with her longer.
The other woman leans back against the desk, her arms folding across her chest, the folder still loosely held in one hand. She is watching Glinda like a cat that has just cornered a mouse, waiting to see what she will do next. Her mouth twitches in amusement before she speaks again.
“Oh, come on, princess.” Elphaba’s voice dips an octave lower. Eyes clouded with something dark. Her tone is now teasing. Hot. And then…
“I know you know how to beg.”
