Chapter Text

Winter meant very little to Don Sonellino.

Winter to him meant missions were harder to complete, what with the shadows blanketed with white and the ground coated in ice. It meant heavy clothing that made running harder, but worked well when it came to hiding weapons. The only thing he found enjoyable throughout it all was seeing his men, his family, happily congratulating each other for another year spent together.

This time, however, it was different. This year, his men had been privy to the many holiday traditions of 007n7 and his strange family, resulting in them being very adamant about celebrating with him.

“It will be fun!” Soldier insisted, leaning over his desk with an excited grin. Mafioso simply raised an eyebrow, but let him continue. “We never do anything exciting during winter, so why not change that?”

“I think it sounds pretty cool,” Consigliere supported from his spot near the door, a familiar grin plastered on his face. “We don't normally have any fun during the holidays — all we do is antagonize enemy organizations via tense pre-Christmas parties.”

“I like making our foes uncomfortable.” Caporegime retaliated, voice low and monotone. He stood beside Mafioso as he always did, despite currently being off the clock. Perhaps it was simply out of habit, but something told him it was due to a need to protect.

Mafioso sighed, his focus returning to his paperwork. “Look I would love to spend time with you guys, but I never bothered celebrating Christmas, so I don't understand how it works. I'm sure 007n7 would—”

Soldier groaned with frustration, rolling his eyes. “I'm not interested in celebrating with him! He's not you! Besides, Contractee's never celebrated either and he still agreed!”

Actually, you kind of just dragged me into this.” Contractee, slumped on the wall next to Consigliere, corrected. His foot thumped against the carpet, glare directed towards the third-in-command.

Soldier simply chose to ignore him, hands clasping together as his elbows invaded Mafioso's desk space. “Please? Pretty please? Pleasepleaseplease—”

Softly sighing, Don massaged his temple, not truly angry yet still fairly annoyed. As much as he wished to deny him, he knew better than anyone how defenseless he was against the desires of his favorite workers. “Fine, but the party still happens.”

He barely reacted to the loud cheers from Soldier and Consigliere, slightly smiling at the quieter one from Caporegime — who surprisingly enjoyed the annual party. Assuming the conversation was finally over, he continued his work, barely noticing the sudden silence.

“Why are you still working, I thought you said you celebrate with us?” Consigliere questioned, ears slightly lowering. Mafioso looked up at him with a deadpan expression.

“It's not Christmas yet, and I still have work to do.”

MAFIOSO!!!” Soldier screamed.

After a full ten minutes of trying to dissuade a pissed Soldier — with little to no assistance from anyone else — Mafioso reluctantly agreed to spend an hour or two of quality time with his men. In return, Soldier was expected to take on an extra mission next month, and wouldn't make Mafioso procrastinate his work any further, no matter the event.

Later the five ended up in Don's backyard, snow piling at their feet as the cold nipped at their skin.

Consigliere had just tackled Soldier into a pile of snow, wrestling with the younger despite knowing he was stronger than him. Contractee, much calmer than the two balls of chaos, was settled next to Mafioso on the patio bench, both men choosing to watch rather than interfere. Caporegime had long since slipped back inside, having offered to prepare some warm drinks for the team.

“... Should I be concerned?” Contractee mumbled, picking at his mittens as he watched Soldier quite literally bite Consigliere. His voice was quiet, tired in the way someone's would be after finally settling down when they spent years fighting for survival. And even after knowing the man for an entire year, Mafioso still had no idea what his life was truly like prior to joining his family.

“Possibly.” He admitted, ear swiveling as he watched Soldier try to stand, only to slip on the snow with a loud yelp. “But the worst that could happen is they get sick.”

Before he could be dignified with a response, the back door slid open, Caporegime exiting the house holding ten steaming mugs atop a round tray. He gave the two of them a small, barely noticeable smile, setting the silver dish on a nearby table. The scent of chocolate wafted through the air, along with another, sweeter, smell.

“Consigliere, Soldier, could you come here for a moment?” Caporegime requested, voice barely even a yell yet heard loud and clear by both men — who had now resorted to making snow angels. They were quick to stumble to their feet, shaking stubborn snowflakes off their coats.

Consigliere was the first to arrive, having tripped Soldier seconds after they started moving. His grin softened as Caporegime passed him a mug, smoothing into a genuine smile. “Thanks.”

“It has caramel in it,” Caporegime informed, the slightest hint of pride in his voice. He was quick to pass Soldier’s cup to him, raising an eyebrow at the amount of snow stuck to his hair. He dusted the snow off as the younger began downing his cup as fast as he could, ears relaxed and tail practically wagging.

Mafioso and Contractee were passed their respective mugs afterwards, both men of course thanking Caporegime for his service. Mafioso wasted little time in drinking — well aware that anything made by Caporegime or his family would taste like consumable gold. Contractee, hesitant and having lacked a childhood with the man, took much longer.

“Are we not… allergic to chocolate?” He eventually mustered up the courage to ask, ears pointed up with caution. He seemed almost embarrassed to be asking, rescuing to look at anyone and instead staring into his drink.

Don hummed for a moment, allowing an amused smile to overcome his features. Contractee, as the most recent member, had only just begun leaning into the more animalistic parts of himself, which included learning the difference between himself and an actual bunny.

“Unless you were born with something along the lines of a milk, soy, or nut allergy, no. Complete rabbits are, Topolino We're still part human.” He assured, watching as Caporegime plucked the empty mug from Soldier’s hands, swiftly replacing it with another.

Oh.” Contractee mumbled, finally lifting the cup to lips. It was obvious when the taste hit him, an amazed look washing over him. Mafioso couldn't resist chuckling, though it gained him a glare.

The quiet had only just settled back in when Consigliere spoke. “Have you never had chocolate before?”

“No?”

Soldier began choking, coughing violently as Consigliere rushed to hit his back. He looked over at Mafioso, aggressively pointing at Contractee as though switching on a criminal. Contractee frantically looked between the two, observing the scene with a guilty confusion.

As Consigliere cackled loudly and Contractee rushed to give meaningless apologies, Mafioso turned to meet Caporegime's eye. The two smiled at each other, unbothered by the havoc nature of their family members.

… Maybe Mafioso could spare a few workdays.

(A few hours later, Soldier and Consigliere sat on 007n7's couch, both sniffling as Caporegime and Contractee searched for medicine.)

This chapter wasn't as fluffy as I wanted... but bonding! Plus you get to take a look inside 1x1x1x1's mind :)

Chapter Text

The house was practically empty.

Shocker, wasn't it? Any other day it would be bustling with the same Admins, exploiters, and minimum wage workers — loud in the way any other inhabited house would be. Twenty or so people in one house, acting as a family of introverts, extroverts, and even ambiverts.

However, almost everyone had found a reason to leave the house for the day. Some succumbed to the siren call of work, some finally decided to stop procrastinating and go Christmas shopping, and a few even decided to go for walks after hiding in their room for weeks straight. The house was no longer its active self, empty and void of people.

Except for 1x1x1x1 and C00lkidd, of course.

1x, as always, didn't feel like going anywhere, reluctantly denying Taph's bait of dried limes. She waved most others goodbye with the promise of babysitting the little one. The two got along pretty well, so it wouldn't be too hard.

At least, they thought so, before realizing that C00lkidd was a brat when sick.

“Just eat the soup.” He gritted out, nudging C00lkidd's face with a spoon. The child turned his head away, sticking out his tongue with defiance. “Kidd, I swear…”

“I don't wanna!” C00lkidd complained, scooting towards the opposite side of the couch. “Your soups don't taste any good!”

1x1x1x1 inhaled sharply through their nose, all but throwing the spoon back into the bowl. Frustration bubbled up inside her chest, but quickly dissipated as she went through the breathing exercises taught to her. Sometimes it felt like they were more of a creature of hatred rather than anger.

“It's the same type of soup your father makes—”

“But it's not the same! Papa makes it better!” The whines pierced 1x like a blade, her head wings pressing against her ears at the audible assault. Before he could come up with a response, the stubborn child let out a loud sneeze, followed by an aggressive sniff.

1x4 raised an eyebrow, but Kidd only turned away with a pout.

Sighing, they set the untouched dish onto the coffee table. Moments passed without any other attempts, the only noise came from the TV. C00lkidd, believing he had finally been let off the hook, quickly got distracted by the colorful moving pictures, still sniffling and sniveling.

Then, finally, the idea hit. C00lkidd only enjoyed his father's soups, there was something he preferred from 1x1x1x1. Something that could both aid his recovery and keep him happy.

“I'll make you tea.” She decided. As expected, the little one's head turned to them, face lit up with excitement. Even though he had clearly made a statement rather than an offer, C00lkidd still began pleading with him to do so.

“I want tea! Please Mx. 1x, please?” C00lkidd begged, latching onto their arm and ignoring the fact that he could possibly get them sick. “You said you'd make it whenever I wanted it!”

Allowing a small smile to spread across her face, 1x4 pushed herself off the couch, grabbing the cold soup before making their way to the kitchen. Kidd cheered behind him, feet thudding against the ground as he rushed to follow.

When serving C00lkidd tea, 1x1x1x1 had assumed he would be satisfied. They had clearly forgotten that this was C00lkidd, someone who could never be satisfied.

“But I want cinnamon!” The kidd was whining again, one hand gripping 1x tightly while the other one insistently pointed towards the spice.

“You're supposed to be getting healthy, not a sugar rush.” She grumbled her denial once more, tail lashing as she stared down at the child. The only “bright” side to this entire situation was that the sniffing from C00lkidd was not from tears, but from illness.

“You put sugar in it!”

“You wouldn't have drunk it if I didn't.”

C00lkidd opened his mouth, inhaling with enough air to prep for a yell. Wanting to avoid getting their ears busted, 1x4 cut him off with a loud groan. “Fine. But if 007n7 says something about it I will punt you.”

The smile he was given was nothing short of adorably malicious.

Within the next few minutes, the two were back on the couch, C00lkidd happily drinking his tea. 1x1x1x1 had their own tea in hand, trying to piece together why C00lkidd seemed to enjoy cartoons so much. With the two distracted, they didn't notice the quiet thud against the house, not until it turned into many loud bangs.

1x blinked, immediately on guard as she set her tea down. This didn't seem like an attack, but with his luck, it very much could be. C00lkidd obviously hadn't either, suddenly clinging to them with all the strength of a scared 6-year-old.

She didn't bother to pry him off, hoisting the kid into her arms and slowly making her way to the nearest window. Cautiously peeling back the curtains didn't reveal any blazing fires or attacking enemies, but rather…

Tiny balls of ice falling from the sky.

“What the fuck.” He mumbled, ignoring the small smack he earned from C00lkidd. Listen, they may have only spent a year on the surface after escaping the BanLands, but no one had ever mentioned ice falling from the sky! Snow, sure, but ice?

Could this be a bad omen of some sort? Perhaps a trap? Did the Administrators finally decide they were too dangerous to keep around, going back on their promises of no more suffering—

“Hail,” C00lkidd whispered in awe. Shaking off her thoughts, she gave him an odd look. “Mx. Chance told me it's dangerous weather, so we should stay inside.”

Oh.

It was just the weather then. A few seconds passed as 1x1x1x1 stared out the window, trying to think of how something like this could even be possible. When no answer came up, he sighed heavily and returned to the couch. Still, a traitorous curiosity poked at their mind.

Just another thing to ask 007n7 about, she guessed.

Chapter 4: Day 5/6 𓏵 [Movie Night] & Chocolate-Chip Cookies

Summary:

007n7's experiences trying to host a movie night for Taph. Bring ibuprofen.

Notes:

This took so many characters and I'm still sure I missed like half... let's just say their implied to be there (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Two weeks ago, if you were to ask 007n7 if he'd ever try rounding up his “family” friends for a movie night, he would've laughed at the mere idea of such a feat. Unfortunately for him, a week ago was when Taph requested a movie night.

And of course, they wanted as many people as he could get.

Even with the assumption that at least a few wouldn't be able to make it, that was still a lot of people. It’s not that 007n7 had a small living room, it was that he didn't have a living room large enough to keep around twenty conflicting personalities apart from each other. Still, he was well aware Taoh took winter time bonding very seriously, so with the help of Builderman he renovated the basement into a functioning theater room.

GUI or no GUI, it still took an entire week, but Taph was surprisingly patient… and stubbornly attached to the idea of a Christmas movie marathon. He asked them why, but all they responded with was a quiet stare. It was honestly kind of unnerving, so he didn't push it.

The next step was admittedly the hardest — gathering the attendees. Walking back and forth throughout a house was not fun, especially when some answers were vague and uncertain. He much preferred the easily predictable responses, like Itrapped and 1x1x1x1's, who both had similar requirements.

“Not if my other half is there.”

“Depends on whether Chance is there.”

1x4 had an indescribable hatred towards their creator — or “other half”, as she referred to him — of which extended towards Shedletsky. Itrapped, on the other hand, had a violent background with Chance, paired with a lingering bitterness towards the failure of some plan he refused to admit. In the end, only 1x chose to come, as Shedletsky had previously planned a vacation with Brighteyes.

Unluckily for Itrapped, Chance had immediately said yes when prompted, even going so far as to cancel whatever else he had planned for the night. Elliot, on the other hand, had to say no due to a scheduled movie night with his biological family. Two Time hadn't even known what a movie was before inquiring, but was eager to experience one, even mustering up the courage to drag Azure along.

Noob, C00lkidd, and Bluudud were an immediate yes, albeit a bit hesitant from Noob. 007n7 made sure to reassure them they could leave at any time should they ever feel the need to, and that no one would stop them. The assurance wasn't enough to keep them from promising to try and stay as long as they could.

Guest 1337, who had been getting a bit bored with the same routines, happily decided to take part in the event. Veeronica had only said yes after being bribed with cookies. Guest 666 only agreed because Veeronica and Noob had.

The cycle continued in a constant loop of Noes and Yeses, each having varying reasons as to why or why not. Builderman and Dusekkar said yes because they were looking to relax, Doombringer said no because he “actually valued [his] job” — there were too many answers to keep track, but 007n7 had already told them where to go, so he didn't bother remembering who said what. That doesn't mean it didn't feel any less relieving when he had finally finished.

That relief quickly faded as he remembered he had yet to grab any snacks. He enlisted Taph in baking cookies and whatever else they wished, while he went out to buy a large collection of tooth rotters. By the time he made it back, Taph had somehow managed to make not only the requested cookies, but also two trays of fudge brownies.

007n7 was quick to make a mental note about limiting the kids’ sugar intake.

Just as the two started arranging candy bowls, Jane and John poked into the kitchen offering up their much-appreciated help. By the time everything had been brought down, many had already begun dragging their friends and blankets in, and 007n7 started dedicating his time to making a list of movies. Many arguments arose about the choices, a lot of which ended with him struggling to avoid getting strangled for his atrocious movie taste.

That sucked up another fifteen minutes and gave 007n7 a new bite mark on his hand.

After the list chaos came the seating arrangement confusion. While most had already chosen who they wanted to sit with — such as Noob, Veeronica, and Guest 666 — and who they wanted to sit away from — Azure and, to their dismay, Two Time — they hadn't bothered figuring out where they were going to sit. While the basement was large enough to fit all, the problem came with placing larger groups, such as Mafioso and his men.

Eventually, everyone had settled into comfortable and agreed on spots, and they could finally start the movies.

The marathon ended with half of the group asleep, Noob and the Guests gone, Taph mid-sugar high from too many brownies, and 007n7 was exhausted. He teleported most into the respective bedrooms out of pure laziness, and others were aggressively herded out like cattle. He didn't quite remember making it to his bed, but considering the fact that he saw a flash of purple before passing out, he can only assume Noli had brought him there.

He confirmed it the next morning, when he woke up to a scribble-covered face. Admins, have mercy. Not on Noli — he deserves to rot.

So yeah, movie nights are an extremely stressful thing for his family, and he refuses to ever do another one.

Notes:

Chat... it's technically still 11:30 in Texas, don't bite me!

Chapter 5: ╰┈➤ Day 7/8 ᛝ [Coffee Shop] & Evergreen

Summary:

Noli reminisces on the past, thinking about how things aren't too different now.

Notes:

"Figuratively, "evergreen" means something that stays fresh, relevant, popular, or interesting indefinitely, retaining its appeal across seasons or time, It describes qualities like perennial freshness, timelessness, and enduring value, much like an evergreen plant stays green year-round."

Chapter Text

It wasn't anything special.

It wasn't anything special, and yet, Noli still felt like crying.

He stared at the coffee in his hands, the warmth from the mug seeping into his ever-cold hands. His gaze slid back over to 007n7, drinking in as many of his details as he could. The idiot hadn't even thought twice before handing him the coffee, so easily walking away as if it wasn't anything but a drink.

It should have been, but it wasn't. Noli shouldn't have been so sentimental about it, but he was. Because even though it was nothing but liquefied poison to anybody else, it was a reminder to him.

The same warmth of the coffee shop, the same snowy ground outside, the same breathtaking man before him…

It reminded him so much of the past.

The past, when he and 007n7 got coffee for the last time without even realizing it. The past, where they hadn't bothered to make the drink themselves, going out to steal it instead. The past, where 007n7 didn't have kids and Noli's heart still beat.

The past, where they had been just like this.

During the bitter cold winter, the warmth of the coffee shop was heavenly.

007n7 and Noli had been here before, many times. They visited it almost as much as they did Natural Disasters and Builder Brothers’, albeit with less destruction. Most of the time, at least.

Today they had chosen it as an area for their glorified loitering, which was technically a date. A date where they argued over their usual dumb topics, rather than getting into the mushy stuff most others do.

“We are animals, Dipshit!” Noli huffed, pulling the top off his espresso to let it cool. He didn't plan on drinking it yet, not when such a feat required taking off his mask, something he only did around his partner. Across from him, 007n7 hummed in pretend thought, head thrown back lazily.

“Nah, we're Robloxians.” He concluded, grinning at the blank stare he was gifted in return. He lifted his head to take a sip of his latte, grin dropping as he glanced at the barista who had been staring at them for a while.

“You think she's going to call the Administrators?” Noli questioned, having already followed his line of sight. He wasn't particularly worried per se, but this was supposed to be a date, and he didn't really want it to end so quickly.

“If she does, I'm setting the place on fire...” 007n7 murmured, placing his cup down to instead leech off of Noli's. “But don't worry about her, focus on us instead.”

“That was cheesy.”

“Die.”

The two laughed for a few seconds, before Noli suddenly realized whose cup was in 007n7's hand.

“Hey — that's mine you gluttonous freak!” He reached over the table, his hand only managing to brush against the cup before it was so rudely pulled away from him.

“Gluttonous!? It's a drink!” 007n7 sputtered, offended. He twisted slightly away from the other, cup held to his chest as if he didn't risk spilling it.

My drink, Dickhead!” Noli retorted, lifted out his seat to snatch it back. 007n7 dramatically mourned the loss for all of two seconds before resorting to verbal insults.

“You're an asshole.”

“You're a thief.”

The glare Noli was given was nothing short of murderous, and yet there were no words to follow it, the owner too busy indulging in his coffee addiction — using his own cup this time.

A comfortable silence eventually settled between the two, the moment slipping away as 007n7's expression neutralized. Noli gazed out the window at the snow-blanketed sidewalks, though his focus continuously slipped towards his partner, who seemed oblivious to his stares. Despite the lingering anticipation of an encounter with the authorities, the two still felt at peace, serene in a way they normally weren't.

Perhaps it was the calm before the storm, but it didn't really matter when the storm looked so far away. For now, they could bask in each other's presence, without interruptions—

Shit— Sevs that's the Moderators we gotta go.”

“OH FUCK YOU BRENDA!!”

The two disappeared in a flurry of red and black panels.

Things had changed.

After all, nothing ever stays the same. But Noli must admit, their relationship had gotten pretty damn close — even after all the hardships they've been through.

Even after all the drama, the falling out, the pain of wanting someone but not wanting to be with them… They still loved each other, although in their own quiet, still way. Things might have been a bit tense, and 007n7 might've been busy with his new kids, but they were still the same.

Their love had still retained its warmth.

Chapter 6: Day 9/10 𓏵 Fridgid & Mistletoe

Summary:

Noob and Guest 666 walk home, only to be met with a tiny suprise.

Notes:

This one's a bit sloppy, mainly cause I'm not feeling that up to editing right now...

But anyways it's a quadruple drable (400 words) so...

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

“It's getting late, and you're cold. We should go home.”

The words had been scribbled on the top of their sketchbook, a silent plea from their silent friend.

Noob bit on the inside of their cheek, taking another glance at the starry sky above them. Guest 666 Sixer and they had been at the park for a while now, and the sun had long since set. While they weren't ready to leave, Sixer had a point, their brain had already begun nagging them to find a warm shelter.

Props of being part squirrel — a free internal radar telling you when it was way too cold to stay outside.

With a heavy sigh, they closed their sketchbook, standing with Sixer as the two began their way home. The walk was quiet, Noob much too tired to fill Sixer's silence with absent-minded rambles. It wasn't like it bothered the other, what with them being used to their own inability to speak.

The lack of words didn't mean a lack of conversation, however. Their hands remained locked — a few glances and smiles thrown at each other as they navigated the town with practiced ease. Words did many things, yes, but their actions always spoke louder.

Eventually, the two made it home, silently pulling away from each other only for Noob to unlock the door. They expected the apartment to be as silent as they were, as dark as everything else was. Instead, they were met with the familiar sight of their roommate, in all her robotic glory.

“I thought you would've been charging by now?” Noob questioned, hands twisted either Sixer's once more as they stepped inside. They paused as Veeronica suddenly grinned, pointing at them aggressively.

“WAIT! Pause!” Her finger slowly lifted upwards, pointing above them. The two followed it, only to be met with a Mistletoe.

Their reactions were as expected, the two pulling away in embarrassment, their faces flushed.

“Where did you even get one of those!?”

She shrugged, cord tail whipping around in excitement. “Next door neighbor had some.”

‘You mean t–h–e one with t–h–e cloak?’ Sixer signed, face still flushed pink. Veeronica simply smiled.

“Who cares, Kiss!”

It took a long nervous staredown, but eventually they bridged the gap between them, lips gently pressing together before they pulled back just as quickly.

Silence fell between the three, before Veeronica cheered loud enough to wake the entire apartment complex.

Notes:

YES Noob's a squirrel. The reason why? Guest 666 is joking referred to as a "dog" by some of the Forsaken fandom, and dogs chase squirrels... now imagine a swap au with "Cat" Noob and Mouse 666...

Also no 666 is not a dog in this AU, Bros a demon! And Veeronica's words are like that because she's a robot and it doesn't sound completely normal, iykwim

First time writing a character that uses sign, I looked up a dictionary prior to this and was told there's no tradition ASL sign for "the", and it could only be spelt...

Please tell me if I got something wrong 😭

Chapter 7: ╰┈➤ Day 11/12 ᛝ Glitter & Knitting

Summary:

Two Time and Azure maje an offering for the Spawn.

Notes:

TW: Religious mentions, Average Two Time delusions, slight mentions of death

Must I warn you once more, THIS INCLUDES SPOILERS FOR THE MAIN FIC!!!!

also, this is from Two Time's POV, that's why I used such weird wording...

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Winter was a special time for the Spawn followers.

It was not only when their clothing shop in honor of Spawn was most active, but also the foreshadowing of Xmas, a holiday dedicated to celebrating Spawn's bountiful gifts of knowledge and existence. Anyone who downplayed such an event was worthy of scorn and deserved to have their gifts ripped from their hands — even if such a gift was their life. The Spawn did not appreciate nor approve of foolish ignorance.

Two Time, of course, was well aware of the weight this holiday carried.

By the time the first snowflakes grazed the ground, they were already planning oblation, seeking a bestowal worthy of their Spawn's attention. Azure, their prized partner, was right beside them throughout their hunt, offering silent support in their search for an opulent offering. His help was appreciated, though his proposals seemed moderate and contributed little progress.

“Lord Spawn wouldn't mind a mild serving, as long as it was chosen with pure intent,” Azure claimed, scintillating eyes tired from an early waking. Two Time regarded his sloth as well-reasoned, having seen his exhaustion after yesterday's shift. “Sir Amarah has stated that anything selected by a true follower's hands is deserving of Spawn's eyes.”

“While you are correct,” Two Time stood from their crouch, shutting their chest with a click and turning to face the other. “My memory speaks of him declaring Spawn as a deity that praises hand-crafted gifts, ones that carry meaningful stories.”

Azure's eyes shifted to stare at the, an unreadable expression crossing his face. Before they could question it, he looked back at them with a familiar soft smile. “Then why don't we knit something? Perhaps something to represent the stars they wove after we cried for beauty?”

The signature smile they wore stretched into a larger grin, sharp teeth peeking from behind their lips. Once again Azure had not only proven himself as a worthy lover, but a worthy follower.

“Care to help me find the yarn?”

With Azure's shaky hands and Two Time's limited knowledge of knitting, the gift took around two weeks. Days were set aside for this project, hours sacrificed for perfection. They refused to surrender, not even as their fingertips began to ache, their frustration began to rise, and their exhaustion lingered from long shifts.

Two Time ensured they made daily prayers thanking the Spawn's bountiful patience, ever aware of the urgent look Amarah would send them each day they arrived with empty hands. The mentor had reminded them many times in the last week that bailing in such a tradition was unforgivable, and each time they responded with the same answer.

“Patience is a virtue you taught me. I ask you represent it well.”

It earned them a few narrowed gazes and superiority lectures, but it was worth it when they saw their creation sitting among the other offerings, accepted by the Spawn and their angels. Azure showed his excitement through whispered chatter and ever-moving hands, constantly claiming their creation was something worthy of praise.

Though they refused to give in to sinful pride, they couldn't help but agree — after all, what could compare to a bouquet of star-speckled nightshades?

Notes:

Incase it wasn't obvious, their gift was a knitted bouquet of nightshades, except the yarn had sparkles in it!

Chapter Text

If one were to ask Noob if 007n7 was their parent, they would frantically deny it, questioning how you even assumed so. On the other hand, if you were to ask any of 007n7's actual children if they were their siblings, they would cheerfully confirm so. They weren't siblings legally, per se, seeing as though Noob was legally emancipated — but they came pretty close.

For example, Noob was one of the first people to get Christmas gifts from them — although they were usually... interesting yet adorable.

NOOB!” C00lkidd’s called out, scaring Noob half to death and almost causing them to drop the board game in their hands. The red child came stumbling over, almost tripping over his tail in his excitement. “Look what I made for you!”

He proudly presented a crinkled paper snowflake, decorated with red scribbles and crudely signed with a black marker. He held it like a trophy, tail whipping around as he pushed it towards the older's chest. Noob stared at it apprehensively, gently taking the already damaged gift in their hand.

“Do you like?” C00lkidd asked early, hopping in place.

Uhm— Yes, I, uh— Yes, I like it a lot.” C00lkidd cheered, but was cut off by Pr3ttypriincess suddenly pushing him out of the way to present her own snowflake. Unlike his, hers was almost flawless — smooth and completely pink, although it had horribly glued glitter on it.

“Mine's better!” She boasted with pride, swinging it around and ignoring the offended yells from her younger brother. She grinned widely as Noob took it. “I made it with glitter!”

“I see…” Noob mumbled, placing the two gifts onto the box. They wiped their fingers on their shirt, cringing at the excess glue sticking them together. They ignored the fight that started between the two youngest, setting the board game down when they spotted Bluudud standing a few paces behind them, anxiously fiddling with his own snowflake. “Bluu? Did you— did you want to show me something?”

He looked up at them, hesitating a few moments before shuffling close and holding out his own snowflake. It was slightly crumbled, but it was decorated with tiny music note stickers. Noob took it from him with a smile, softly examining it. “Thank you, it's— it's really nice.”

The moment was ruined when C00lkidd let out another loud screech. He and Pr3tty were a few feet away, leaning over the now-open board game box.

“WE'RE PLAYING MONOPOLY!?”

Unfortunately, Noob's role also came with the ability to see more violent sides of C00lkidd, Pr3ttypriincess, and Bluudud.

“I swear, if I land on your property one more time…” Pr3tty threatened, rolling her dice as she glared at C00lkidd. The other smiled brightly, unbothered and happy to play either way. Noob, on the other hand, laughed nervously, hands twisting together.

“It's just a game… let's not resort to violence please…”

The dice landed on six, and lo and behold, she landed on one of C00lkidd's many properties.

“YOU RAT!!” Pr3ttypriincess screeched loudly, abruptly lounging and tackling Bluudud out of his chair. He yelped loudly, scrambling to get out of her grasp.

WHAT DID I EVEN DO!?”

Noob bolted out of their chair, freezing in place as they tried to decide whether or not to intervene. Beside them, C00lkidd cackled, no help as always.

“Priincess — NO BITING!!” They panicked, quickly rounding the table to try and pry her off, to little avail.

“GET OFF ME FREAK!!” Bluudud strained, kicking her in the face.

YOU’RE THE FREAK!!” She hissed back, scratching his arm just hard enough to leave a mark.

Noob sighed in defeat, pondering whether or not they should call 007n7. This wasn't even the first time something like this happened, and they doubted it would be the last.

And to think they once thought of them as sweet little kids…
