“You’re adorable,” Nerissa tells her one day, completely unprompted. “And I love you a lot.”
Shiori only hums, shifting a little in her spot curled up in her armchair, turning the page of her book. “If you want money, you should probably go to Liz.” She jokes, filling the silence that had fallen upon them. She doesn’t look up, doesn’t need to. She can feel Nerissa’s heart-eyed gaze from here.
A weight is placed in her lap and her book is ripped from her hands and tossed across the room.
“Hey! I was reading-!” Shiori is cut off as Nerissa— now sat in her lap, practically mashes her face into Shiori’s cheek in what she thinks is supposed to resemble a cheek kiss.
“I!” A firm kiss pressed against her right cheek. “Love!” And another, to her left. “You! So! Goddamn! Much!” Each word punctuated with a smooch, ending with a low cooing that she recognizes as one of Nerissa’s happy noises.
“I-ah! Love you too, my girl.” Shiori breathes out as Nerissa cups her chin in hand, turning it to smother her whole face in kisses. “Where exactly is this coming from?”
“You know where.” Is Nerissa’s response, accompanied by a light nip to Shiori’s ever reddening cheek.
It’s true, she does know. Had even expected this, placing a bet with Liz to see when their bird would notice the fact that Shiori has been wearing her clothes, knowing that seeing her partners wearing her stuff drove her crazy.
‘Thirty minutes’ she texts Liz as she’s dragged towards the bedroom by the collar of Nerissa’s favorite sweatshirt.
