Work Header

Itoshi Rin, and his two new older brothers

Summary:

When Rin transferred to a new school after not attending Real Mandrid's Special Japan Tour, he meets two weirdos from the soccer club. One was an overly enthusiastically purple head, and the other seemed to be chronically online.

Rin didn't expect that meeting them would impact him this significantly, let alone think that they would matter so much to him now. Perhaps relying on others once in a while isn't too bad.

Or maybe Rin is just starved for affection.

And every since then, Rin's life has only been getting more interesting with every passing day.

Notes:

Just random fluff between these (I wish they interacted more, especially Rin and Reo TwT)
A bit ooc - since, well, it's a fanfic - and just random fluff without any real plot. This is a very self-indulgent piece of work, these three are my favs and I think that they would have a nice dynamic together.

This is my very first fanfic on Ao3 so I'm not sure if people will even read this, but enjoy~

Feedback, constructive criticism, questions and suggestions are welcomed! But I would like to keep their dynamic as it is.

This fic was written in one night and edited in the morning so it was purely based on my mood swings (and so is the rest of the fic), I MIGHT be adding some kind of angst or an additional ship for Rin... What do you guys think about that?

Chapter 1: Centre of your Affection

Chapter Text

“Mmh…” Rin closed his eyes, letting out a relaxed hum. Here he was, lying on the same bed as two other people, sandwiched between the said two. Not that he minded it. In fact, he loved this, though he would never say that aloud.

Leaning against Reo’s chest, Rin felt the purple haired boy run his hand through his hair. His touch felt comforting, like a lullaby soothing Rin’s weary soul.

And of course, there was Nagi, who reached his arm out across Rin, pulling Reo closer by the waist and squishing Rin in the process. Nagi seemed completely indifferent to that fact, though, just comfortably hugging the both of them as he closed his eyes. Rin could feel Nagi’s breath warm against his nape, and he let out a huff of annoyance. He would never tell anyone this, but he was actually quite ticklish.

Rin cuddled up closer to Reo, trying to stop having to feel Nagi breathe against the back of his neck. Reo’s king-sized bed was big enough for the three of them to sleep comfortably, but thanks to Nagi, they took up only around half the bed now.

“Reooo….I wanna cuddle with you…” Nagi muttered sleepily, sounding more like a child’s cranky whining.

“You had your turn yesterday, Nagi. Plus, the three of us can cuddle like this just fine.”

“Awh…” Rin could feel the pout form on Nagi’s face without even turning back.

As if to spite him, Rin wrapped his arms around Reo’s waist. Nagi let out a huff in response, pulling Reo closer to further squish Rin.

“Oi, stop squishing me.”

“We can swap if you want.”

“No.”

“Then too bad for you.”

“Reo, he's bullying me again.”

“No I’m not. Reo, you said the three of us can cuddle like this just fine.”

Reo just sighed. Sometimes, he felt like a single mother to these two overgrown toddlers.

“How about I be in the middle (again)?” Reo suggested.

“Yay.” “No.”

“Hm, why not?” Reo looked down at Rin.

“Everytime you’re in the middle, that lazy sloth will grab you for himself.”
“Who are you calling a sloth, huh?” Nagi poked Rin’s side, making the dark haired boy’s body suddenly jerk.

“Stop that!”

Nagi intentionally did it again.

“Reo!”

“Nagi…come on, don’t bully him.” Reo chipped in to defuse the situation.

“Okay…”

Nagi eventually stopped squishing Rin in between him and Reo, his arm moving to wrap around Rin’s waist instead.

Rin actually liked being cuddled in between the two the most. It made him feel wanted, giving him somewhat of an illusion that he was for once the centre of attention and not the one chasing after someone’s recognition.

But the fact that Nagi was breathing in his neck again made his comfort slightly shift to irritation.

“Stop breathing against my neck,” Rin ordered with a click of his tongue. Nagi half had the urge to continue doing so just to piss Rin off, but complied anyway, shifting such that his face was now in Rin’s hair.

“Your hair smells nice.” Nagi casually remarked.

“We use the same shampoo.”

“Still.”

“Alright you two, it’s getting late, let’s call it a night. Good night.”

“‘Night.” “Good night.”

~

Rin had many opinions about Nagi and Reo. Ever since he moved schools, he’s been sticking to both of them. Well, at first it was Reo sticking to him and dragging Nagi along, but now they all stick together. Rin thought that Reo was a pretty caring person. Though sometimes a bit more enthusiastic than Rin would like, he always made Rin feel appreciated. He was kind of like the big brother Rin wished he could have. Nagi was cool too. He mostly stuck to Reo, but would play the horror games Rin liked with him. Despite not having played before, he was annoyingly good. Nagi was a few months older than Reo, but Rin saw him more like an annoying sibling that was constantly fighting him for Reo’s attention, a bit like those annoying twins that will rub the fact they are 3 minutes older than you in your face for your whole life.

Though seeing them as brothers wouldn’t be quite right. Rin was reminded of that fact when he woke up to find the two making out right beside him.

“It’s 7 in the fucking morning.” Rin sat up and rubbed his eyes.

This time it was Nagi pinning Reo down against the bed. After a few moments of doing whatever they pleased like Rin wasn’t even there, Nagi parted his and Reo’s lips, looking over at Rin.

“And?”

“Gross.” Rin could see the string of shared saliva connecting Nagi’s mouth to Reo’s.

Rin wasn’t homophobic. He just disliked seeing this kind of PDA, whether it was between a guy and a girl, two guys, two girls, two…or three – who knows how many – whatever.

Especially when he just opened his eyes for the day.

Rin would not ever need such a close up view of people making out.

Rin decided that he saw Reo as a brother figure more. Nagi was like his annoying boyfriend that kept wanting to steal Reo away. Yup, that definitely sounded better after what Rin had to witness for the who-knows-how-many-th time.

Rin hopped off the bed, making his way to the bathroom without sparing another glance at whatever the two lovebirds were doing.

Welp, this is the new life of Itoshi Rin.

Living with two people he met months ago and watching them shamelessly make out in front of him everyday.

How great.

At least he knew they were comfortable around him.

Though perhaps a bit too comfortable.
