🎥:
Charles is walking through an apartment, camera facing him. He’s wearing a white hoodie with the words ‘Ferrari’ printed in blue across his chest. “Hey, guys! It’s been quite some time since I’ve done one of these… I think a month or so, actually.”
He walks into a room that serves as his studio. The camera pans across the room, showing off the space. Acoustic and electric guitars hang on one wall, a stand holds two piano keyboards, and LED lights are strung up across the room. There’s a mixing board along with a laptop.
“You’ve seen the studio already,” Charles comments, flipping the camera back to face him. “But, um, the magic starts here. I’ve been working on some things lately and am very excited to share them with you guys.”
Charles exits the studio and walks down the hall toward the living room. He sits down on a couch, keeping the camera angled towards him.
“How is everyone doing?” Charles questions, and immediately, there’s a flurry of responses. Charles can barely keep up with the chat. “Well, a lot of you seem to be doing well, so that’s good. How about you ask some questions? I’ve got some time.”
The chat floods with questions. Most of them have to do with his music and his upcoming album.
“Am I attending the Monaco Grand Prix?” Charles reads, and his lips curve upwards. “Yes, I will be attending the race! I would never miss it.”
He spends the next several minutes answering questions about his favorite places to tour, his hobbies, and his favorite songs. Charles continues to go through the questions, looking for a unique one. He eventually finds one, and his lips form a smile.
“Are you friends with Lando? Yes, I am friends with Lando. He’s great,” Charles answers, his smile growing. “I’ve had a lot of fun getting to know him. We actually had dinner a few days ago. He even paid.”

A Conversation With Charles Leclerc: Behind the Spotlight
July 7th, 2025
When the door to Charles Leclerc’s apartment opens, I am greeted by Leo, the min-dachshund that belongs to the singer. Leo is very energetic, and I can’t help but laugh as he runs circles around my feet. It’s the first time I’ve ever been greeted like that, but it’s a welcome surprise.
When I raise my eyes from Leo, I am met with the piercing emerald eyes that belong to Charles Leclerc. I had been aware of the singer’s beauty, but seeing him in person is entirely different. Even in only a hoodie and jeans, he’s still absolutely radiant. It’s hard to ignore.
The singer greets me with a warm smile and invites me inside. He asks if I would like anything to drink, and I accept. As Charles heads to the kitchen, I make my way to the living room to sit down. Leo trots beside me happily, tail wagging.
Charles’s apartment is elegant. Sunlight streams into the living room through floor-to-ceiling windows. A grand piano is right in front of the window. Looking around, I see awards on shelves and plaques hanging on walls. These are testaments to Leclerc’s success. But among those accolades are framed photographs of Charles’s loved ones. It’s a lovely display.
I make myself comfortable on a couch, and Charles comes back, handing me a glass of water. He sits down across from me, the warm smile still on his lips. He looks ready for the interview.
Our conversation begins with music.
“I was working on something before you arrived, actually,” Charles admits, his eyes lighting up with excitement. “I’ve had a lot of inspiration lately.”
I do try to get the singer to elaborate on what he means, but he merely grins slyly, replying that’s a secret for now. I’m a little disappointed, but I can’t be upset.
“I guess that means fans can expect more music then?” I ask, feeling myself grow excited. After all, I love Charles Leclerc’s music, too.
Charles laughs, a melodic sound. “They can. I’ve got so much to share.”
“Do you have a release date in mind?”
Charles says he doesn’t, but he promises that music is coming soon. He even tells me that this upcoming album will have more tracks than previous ones. He laughs as he tells me that he lurks on Twitter and he’s seen fans asking him to make his next album longer. He plans to fulfill those requests.
Since we’re on the topic of fans, I start the next portion of the interview by asking about his connection with them.
Charles’s entire face softens. “My fans are incredible. I wouldn’t be here without them. It’s surreal that my music resonates with so many. It’s so special to know that you can touch someone’s life.”
“It makes you feel good.”
“Yes. Definitely. It’s something I don’t take for granted.”
It’s obvious to see how much Charles adores his fans. It’s a little hard to tell whether Charles loves his fans more or if they love him more. It’s a tight competition.
I ask about how Charles stays connected with his fans, and he responds that he spends time on social media. He likes tweets and sometimes replies to them. He playfully says that he sees everything. I’m not entirely sure if he’s being serious or not.
“I lurk,” Charles grins. “It’s fun!”
However, his face dims slightly. Whatever he’s about to say, I know it’s not going to be positive. His expression is a dead giveaway.
“While social media certainly can be good, there is a dark side to it,” Charles admits, smile fading. “There are hurtful things. I try to stay away from that, but you know, it’s there. Sometimes, you see things.”
Charles doesn’t go any further than that, and I don’t press. The conversation continues as we discuss family, hobbies, and how Charles resets himself.
“I like going on the water,” Charles tells me, eyes drifting toward the window. The sunlight catches his hair, illuminating it in a soft glow. “I bring my notebook, and I write. Sometimes, it will be lyrics. Sometimes, it will be random thoughts.”
“How long do you spend out there?”
“I’ll be out there for hours. It’s relaxing. Peaceful. Everything slows down out there.”
It does sound peaceful. The way Charles explains it makes it easy to believe. He’s very expressive.
We move on to his family. He lights up all over again. He gushes about how supportive they are of his career.
“My family is the best,” Charles says, adoration in his voice, and I can feel the love he has for them. “They’re everything to me.”
Charles makes sure he attends F1 races. His brother, Arthur, drives for Scuderia Ferrari. The red car has always been the dream of the Leclerc brothers. It was the car that captured their attention.
“I couldn’t be prouder of him,” Charles smiles. “He’s an incredible driver, and I’m certain that next year will be his.”
While the WDC might not be in the cards for Arthur this year, Charles is confident his brother will get his shot next year. The 2025 F1 season has been dominated by McLaren, with its two drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, engaged in a close title fight.
What’s even more interesting is the fact that Charles appears to be good friends with Lando Norris. Back in April, Lando mentioned the singer during a video challenge he did. In Miami, the two met for the first time. Since then, the pair have been spotted together numerous times.
They’ve even stirred up dating rumours.
I don’t mention Lando’s name, but I ask Charles about how he’s been rumored to be in a relationship.
To my surprise, Charles’s cheeks flush. There’s an almost shy smile on his face as he answers, “I’ve had a good reason to smile lately.”
This smile is entirely different from the ones I’ve seen today. It’s softer. Everything about Charles seems softer right now. He’s glowing. That’s the best word I can come up with.
It’s at that moment that I realize that this might be what Charles meant when he said he had inspiration. If he’s in a relationship, his partner has been his muse. Very romantic of him.
“That sounds like you’re in a relationship,” I point out.
Charles’s smile remains on his face. “Maybe I am, maybe I’m not.”
“Will there be love songs on this album?”
“Guess you’ll have to find out.”
“Is there anything you can tell me about the album?”
Charles pauses, considering his response. He’s silent for a moment, his expression concentrated. It seems that he wants to pick his words carefully.
“Love is magical,” Charles settles on after a few moments, his eyes drifting down to his wrist where he wears a red and orange bracelet. “It is something you give, and if you are lucky enough, you receive it back. I do not think there is anything better in the world.”
Before I leave, Charles offers to play something for me. I eagerly accept because who would turn down an opportunity like this? Charles sits down at the piano, and it’s absolutely incredible to watch him play. He’s in his element.
The melody is beautiful. I find myself closing my eyes. It’s easy to get lost in the sound. It’s magical.
Magical like Charles Leclerc.

McLaren’s star driver, Lando Norris, seems to be enjoying his summer break as he was seen with singer-songwriter Charles Leclerc in Portofino.
Fans spotted Norris and Leclerc walking at the harbor, and a few fans took pictures with the pair. Leclerc’s dog, Leo, was also present. A fan said that the pair were going to go on the water for a few hours.
A few hours after the two were spotted, Norris and Leclerc both posted to their Instagram stories about a romantic dinner. After their dinner, the pair was seen walking through the streets of Portofino. According to sources, they appeared “very cozy”, often leaning close toward each other and laughing.
For weeks now, rumours have been circulating about the two. Fans have been wondering if the pair are dating since they are seen together often. There has been no confirmation, but it makes sense why there are rumours.

The chat immediately goes haywire, causing Charles to laugh. He glances at the viewer count, watching it skyrocket. When he returns his eyes to the chat, he can barely read anything since it’s moving too fast.
“So many questions already,” Charles comments. “I see some of you asking about Leo. We just went for a walk, so he’s asleep now. It was a very eventful walk. He chased some birds.”
He briefly flips the camera view to show where Leo is curled up, sleeping on his bed. Charles kneels, softly running a hand over Leo’s fur. The mini-dashound doesn’t even stir. He’s out like a light.
“Very sleepy, as you can see,” Charles says, flipping the camera view back to him. “He worked very hard.”
Charles focuses back on the chat, squinting to read it. He sees a lot of comments about his music, but there are also many about Lando.
“Ah, you guys want to see Lando?” Charles’s lips curve into a smirk. “He’s here. Let’s go see him, yes?”
Charles stands up and makes his way through the apartment. He pushes the door open to a room and flips the camera view. Lando is in his sim rig, brows furrowed as he concentrates on the virtual track.
“Say hello to chat, Lando,” Charles greets his boyfriend.
“Hello, chat,” Lando replies without taking his eyes off the screen. “Why am I saying hi to chat?”
“I am doing an Instagram live,” Charles informs. “Are you winning?”
“Of course I am.”
Charles flips the camera, glancing down. “Do you see this, guys? All this man does is race… and then race some more.”
“Not true!” Lando retorts, briefly glancing at Charles, which causes him to veer off track. “Shit!”
Charles laughs. “Wrong way, mon cœur.”
“You distracted me!” Lando complains.
“I will make it up to you,” Charles promises.
Lando’s eyes light up. “Oh, yeah?”
Charles grins. “Of course. I will leave you alone now. Have fun racing.”
“Love you,” Lando says, a soft smile on his lips.
“Love you too,” Charles murmurs, leaning down to kiss Lando quickly.

Q: Lando, let’s start with you. Going into the final race, how are you feeling? What’s your mindset?
LN: Um, I’m treating it like any other race weekend. The goal is to win, obviously. I want to win every race, so I’m just thinking of it like that. There’s a lot on the line, but that doesn’t change my approach. I feel calm.
Q: You don’t feel any more pressure?
LN: [He adjusts his hat] Not really, no. Sure, there’s more at stake, but I wouldn’t say I feel it more. It’s good not to think too much about that stuff, you know?

Lando wakes up first.
Charles is fast asleep, head resting on the pillow, chest rising and falling evenly. He looks peaceful. Lando smiles, reaching forward to smooth out some messy strands. Charles stirs, leaning into Lando’s touch, but doesn’t wake up.
Lando moves, trying his best not to make too much noise so he doesn’t wake his boyfriend. He reaches for his phone, eyes widening slightly in surprise since he woke up thirty minutes before his alarm. He unlocks his phone, dismissing the multiple alarms he has set since he’s not going back to sleep. After dismissing them, he sets his phone back down on the nightstand.
He closes his eyes.
Lights out is only hours away.
A potential World Championship.
His dream.
He’s never been closer, and he might never be this close again. He doesn’t know what will happen next year. What he does know is that he has a chance to win tonight. He has an opportunity to make all his dreams come true.
Lando has tunnel vision. In his mind, there’s only one outcome, and it ends with him crossing the line first, being crowned world champion for the first time. The thought makes him shiver. He wants it so bad.
Arms wrap around his middle, and a chin rests on his shoulder. Lando doesn’t flinch, leaning back into Charles’s embrace, letting out a soft sigh.
“You are up early,” Charles murmurs, turning his head to press a kiss to Lando’s cheek.
“My body decided it was time to wake up,” Lando replies. “What about you? I didn’t wake you up, right?”
“Heard you thinking.”
“Funny,” Lando comments, turning his head to meet his boyfriend’s eyes.
“No overthinking, yes?” Charles says, his accent heavy.
Lando tilts his head to the side as Charles presses a gentle kiss to his neck. “Hard not to.”
A surprise sound escapes Lando’s lips when Charles suddenly moves, pulling Lando down to lie beside him on the bed. Charles reaches forward, threading their fingers together.
“You will drive your heart out because that is what you do every week,” Charles begins. “You will fight. You will prove that you deserve to be a world champion.”
Lando’s heart squeezes. He opens his mouth to say something, but Charles isn’t finished, so he stays quiet, letting his boyfriend finish.
“You get to decide how this story ends, mon cœur,” Charles murmurs, bringing Lando’s wrist to his lips and pressing his lips to it softly. “Go take it.”
Lando exhales softly, leaning forward to press his forehead to Charles’s. Neither says anything, simply exchanging soft smiles.
“Tu es mon champion.”
“Charles….”
“No matter what happens,” Charles tells him. “Mon champion du cœur.”
A kiss lands on Lando’s forehead.
A fire burns in his chest.
