Kim Soleum’s life had a simple routine going on: read DER, go to classes and stream for a bit. He was an up-and-coming new streamer caller “RoeDeer” who had amassed quite the cult following, unbeknownst to him.
The clear and nice voice, sharp and accurate deductions, witty personality, great commentary, his self-proclaimed fear of all things’ horror (despite reading and playing horror games) made him “moe” and it drew people into his own little orbit. RoeDeer was also a faceless streamer, which that added an aura of mystique to his character.
Under all that he held a secret “I’M A HUGE OTAKU”. He loved a streamer called “Agent_Choi” a lot, he absolutely adored him. So much so that he had multiple dedicated fan accounts and pages to praise him. Soleum owned every single piece of merch Choi had released and even some fan merch. Chois smug face was watching him from every single crook and nanny of his room, but he did not mind because Choi was very handsome man.
Also, the first reason for his fondness over Choi came for the fact that he had the same name as his favorite character “Agent Choi” from DER. At first Soleum figured it was all a big coincidence but enjoyed both of them a lot, so he forgot it after a while.
Soleum had discovered Choi when he was still starting out, so he had claimed his spot as an “OG” fan long ago. As a huge fan, he was there every single stream. And of course he had the duty to always type in “Hello Choi-nim, have a great stream”. Otherwise he prefers to remain a lurker. He even had a reputation in Chois community as a dedicated fan!

Soleum was standing in front of his door, since he just got back from his college classes and was super tired. Today he had to call his dad Yongyong to once again say that he was fine on his own. And Soleum was assigned group project with Go Youngeun and…. Baek Saheon.
It wouldn't have been a problem because Soleum was good friends with Youngeun so working with her was even ideal. But working with Saheon on the other hand…Let’s just say Soleum needed to keep his guard up all the time just in case. But hey, at least all of them are hard workers that want to get a good grade. They needed to try extra hard, because their professor was known for being strict with the grading. Overall the whole day had been stressful and he just wanted to lay down.
With a huff he dropped his backpack to the floor and walked over to his closet to change his clothes. Carefully he slipped off his jumper and then unbuttoned his dress shirt and lastly his dress pants. Off his socially accepted clothes and on his Choi merch! Wriggling into the Choi hoodie that was surprisingly good quality (considering it was merch) and sweatpants. After Soleum was done changing, he fell on his bed face first with a soft thud, hair messing up in the process.
After laying down for five minutes, Soleum flipped himself around and took out his phone. “After a hard day of dealing with Baek Saheon, I deserve to relax a bit before going my assignments” he justified in his mind, before submerging into reading the DER entries. Time flew by and he was brought back to down to earth by a stream notification.
Agent_Choi is live!

Soleum quickly put on his headphones and tapped on the notification before switching his account to his personal one. One of his favorite pastime besides reading DER was watching Agent_Choi stream.
At this point it had become a part of routine, since he spent a huge chunk of his days watching him. And to no ones surprise, today was no different. Soleum had no stream planned for today, so he got to watch Agent_Choi’s stream with full focus!
“Hello my dear citizens! Today we’re going to play a new indie horror game called “Escape lookymart” I heard it’s really good^^”
As per usual Choi had a chipper mood and a big smile that made Soleums heart melt. But what caught him off guard was that he was playing something that was based on a DER-story! He was overjoyed, practically jumping around with joy! So he flexed his fingers preparing to clip every single scene that he possibly could. But before that a personal little ritual had to be completed, so Soleum typed his usual greeting to his favorite streamer.

Even though hundreds of messages came through at the same time Choi's eyes seemed search for something till they locked on Soleum message with a fond smile creeping on his handsome face.
“Haha thank you citizens! Let’s have a great stream, let’s see what this game is made of!!!”
As the stream went on, Soleum listened to Chois enthusiastic commentary and the small stories he would tell the stream as he went on with the game, 'till he read one message

“I actually found this game from a streamer called “RoeDeer”; His streams are really
entertaining” Choi said with a wide smirk
