“How can I help you, Sir?” Yakov’s voice pulls him out of his thoughts.
“Right,” Tartaglia lifts his eyes at him, bracing himself. “I was going to ask you, did something happen today?”
Yakov’s expression becomes strained behind his mask. “Oh, you don’t know? Well, it's the Captain. He… fell on his mission in Natlan.”
Tartaglia’s whole world screeches to a halt.
