Shadow Milk regresses after he almost destroys his plush.

Luckily, he has a Beast of Sloth helping him.

Work Text:

"Oh, being lovey dovey again, are we?"

She grumbled under her breath. He just had to be here, all of a sudden. She was just resting in her paradise until he came here. He wanted yet again berries. But she knew that was a lie. He wanted to annoy her about her love to Hollyberry and sometimes make tricks in her garden.

"You've already picked berries, my dear. Maybe you could leave my garden and make your lies, hmm." Eternal Sugar said, trying not to scream at him or hit him.

"Oh, yeah. It's true I need to get home and make more tricks, but...... You didn't really REALLY answer my question about your opssesive love you have here, Sugar?" Shadow Milk said, smiling maliciously.

She tugged her hair in rage. He just had to be this annoying to her.

"Well, my dear. She will and I say WILL get back to me. Just you wait." she said, smiling fondly, thinking of Hollyberry.

"Oh, we will see about that, Sugar." he said, looking at his non existing watch.

"I better leave. Lies won't spread without me. Oh and remember, I saw Hollyberry with Pitaya Dragon so your chance failed long time ago. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Bye bye." he said, turning into a snake and exiting the garden, leaving Eternal Sugar Cookie furious.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah, home sweet home.

He could return to his usual self. He hated that disguise. It reminded him of that stupid Soul Jam of his. But it was pretty useful to mess with Eternal Sugar Cookie.

Poff

Ah, much better. Now he can get to work now. And of course smash these berries Sugar let him grab. Of course he knew that those berries were disgusting. Just he had never tried them. Even. He didn't need to eat or sleep. So why would he eat a simple fruit?

Anyway, now that he's home, he could get to work. He just thought of an idea the other day. And it involved magic which was even more exciting. He could use his staff for that. The trick was simple. He is going to make magic with his staff and that magic will be like an illusion. He's going to make fake rocks with his magic and dump them in a place he feels like pranking. And what's a better place than Eternal Sugar Cookie's garden. She's going to be so furious.

Yes, it was brilliant.

He just had to say a couple of words and wolia, a perfect trick.

He stayed in his place, holding his staff with tight grip. He chanted a few words and waited to see what will happen.

But....

Nothing happened..

He was confused. He did everything right. Maybe it didn't hear him correctly.

He tried again. The same words and pointing with the staff.

And...

Nothing...

He chuckled nervously. The audiance was waiting...

He tried again.

Nothing came out...

Again

Nothing

Again

Nothing

Again

Nothing

Again

Nothing

Again

He saw a spark. It was going to be wonderful..

And......

Nothing

He stomped his feet furiously against the floor.

"UGH. WHY CAN YOU WORK ALREADY!!!" he screamed, hitting his staff against the floor.

Then out of nowhere, his staff shot the magic it had in store, the magic light hitting the walls of the Spire. Shadow Milk watched as he tried to get away from it. The magic kept doing that until he entered Shadow Milk's bedroom.

He floated to his room and as expected, the magic was still bouncing of the walls. He knew it will not stop itself. He used one of his cards to destroy the magic, throwing it at his target. But when the card hit the magic, it bounced off and went right through something.

His breath got caught in his throat.

"No, no"

He said, dropping onto his knees. His hands trembled as he held a plush rabbit, now having a big cut, wool coming out of it.

He destroyed it.

He destroyed the only thing he had from his mother. His mother made it for him so he wouldn't be lonely when she left. And after that he never saw her again. He knew he would have destroyed it a long time ago, but he couldn't. It brought him comfort when he needed it the most (which was often).

And now....

It was destroyed.

He felt tears falling and his breath getting heavier with each minute. It reminded him when he was a Fount of Knowledge. When he had to answer meaningless questions, when every answer he gave it to them resulted in a massacre, when he also wanted answers and finally, when they captured him and tortured him. He didn't want any harm to cookies. But cookies were so mean to him and even spread rumors about him. Which resulted what he had become. A cold and heartless beast.

But it only changed....

Because he destroyed his plush toy he got from his creator...

His thought were spiraling and he could feel himself going small. He continued sobbing and clunching his broken plush.

Not caring where he was now

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She hummed.

She was resting on one of her fluffy clouds after a tiring day. It was only tiring when Shadow Milk enters her garden. He always annoyed her and made tricks. He told lies and he's a deceitful snake. She couldn't understand why Shadow Milk was like this. Yes, others were a bit too much, but him, he was insuffarble.

She sighed. Nevermind that, he's gone now and she could rest and look around her garden. It was a bit better than before.

That is until she saw a familiar figure.

Her eye twitched in irritacion. He had to come back here. Of course he would come back.

She heard crying. Oh great, now he's fake crying, trying to get attention so he could play a stupid trick or something.

She flew down towards Shadow Milk who was still crying. She took a deep breath and spoke.

"Shadow Milk Cookie, didn't I tell you many times before that you're not allowed in my garden? I would kindly suggest you to leave." she said, waiting for him to say something offensive or leave. He didn't move, still sobbing in his hands.

She shook her head.

"Shadow Milk, this is not funny. I am telling you to leave my garden right now."

He still didn't move, crying even harder.

"Shadow Milk, come on, stop with this prank of yours." Eternal Sugar said, getting a bit concerned.

He still didn't move.

"Shadow Milk, dear."

He finally looked at her and she softly gasped. Shadow Milk's face was flushed, tears were streaming down his face and he was clunching something. He only took one glance before he started sobbing harder, ashamed.

She quickly approached Shadow Milk, worry evident on her face. She carefully hugged him, careful not to destroy something in his hands. When he felt the hug, he continued sobbing, gripping Eternal Sugar's hair. She began carrasing his back, saying soothing words and wiping his tears.

After he calmed down a bit, he looked at her, fidgeting with something. Eternal Sugar wiped the tears from his eyes as she spoke.

"Darling, can you tell me what's wrong?"

He stayed quiet, still fidgeting with something.

"Please dear. I know you need to be scary and deceitful Beast, but you're safe with me and I won't tell a single soul about this, okay?"

He hesitated until he nodded, showing her a thing he held. She looked at it. In his hands was a plushie, hare plushie. It had a big cut on it's chest, wool coming out. At first she was confused until she saw Shadow Milk's eyes.

They were wide. She finally understood what was happening.

"Oh dearie, are you little?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.

He nodded shyly, trembling a bit.

"It's okay, though. There's nothing ashamed about that, dear." she said, carrasing his cheek. "How about I fix your plushie, okay?"

"P-pwease." he mumbled, holding onto her tightly.

She nodded, picking him up and carrying him somewhere where other residents of her garden wouldn't see him. He stayed quiet, fidgeting with her hair and making babbles.

After they arrived, she started cleaning Shadow Milk using a wet rag to wipe his face which was smeered with tears and makeup. He whined during the whole process, trying to get away from the rag. After she finished, she dressed him up in an oversized robe and fixed his hair a bit. Now came a difficult part.

"Alright, you're all clean now, dear." She said before she took a deep breath. "Now I think someone needs a nap. Come on, let's get you settled."

He instantly began whining.

"N-nwo, nwo. B-bwunny."

"I know, hun. I will fix it for you, alright? It will be as good as new, I promise."

His eyes were filled with tears, whimpering and pulling her hair.

"Oh, hun." Eternal Sugar said, feeling concerned for the Beast of Deceit. She pulled out a pacifier, putting it in his mouth. After he felt the soother, he began sucking it, tears still streaming down his face. Then she began cradling him, giving him soothing words and kisses.

"Hush now, Little one. It's going to be okay, darling. It will be good as new, Blue. Shhh, shh."

One by one, he began to calm down, his eyelids slowly closing and feeling sleepy. He was now sound asleep, still cluching her hair.

She smiled, kissing his forehead multiple times and putting him in a nursery which was made of her clouds. He didn't wake up, still sucking his soother and sleeping on his stomach. She stayed for a little longer and after a while left, going back to fix his plushie.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He slowly opened his eyes

He blinked awake, waking up from his long needed nap. He harshly rubbed his eyes, looking around the nursery. He opened and reopened his fists as he looked at the sky.

It felt peaceful until loneliness creeped out on him.

He needed his stuffie now.

He couldn't live without it.

He needs it

Right

Now

Out of nowhere, he started crying, tears streaming down his face. That lasted for a while until he felt a pair of hands lift him up. He was nested and cradled, his tears were gone and he calmed down. He looked up and saw a familiar figure. The figure smiled and spoke.

"Hey, Blue. Did you sleep well?"

He nodded. It was better sleep he had in his life. Even though he didn't have his plush, he fortunately, didn't have nightmares. Speaking of plushies....

"B-bwunny. Iws it...."

"Yes, I fixed it for you, my dear. Here you go." Eternal Sugar Cookie said, handing over his plushie. He quickly took it, hugging it and looking at it. His plushie looked the same as before, like he didn't even have an accident. He giggled softly, looking up at her.

"Twanks, S-swugar."

She was taken aback by that, but she smiled as she spoke.

"No problem, Blue. It was nothing."

He smiled, hugging her.

She hugged him back.

They stayed for a while until she asked.

"What do you want to do today, Blue?"

"P-pway. I wanna plway."

"Alright, but first we need to eat something, yea, you can't play on an empty stomach."

She continued rambling about stuff, but he wasn't listening. He was trying not to doze off, sleepiness still creeping. He hugged her tight and smiled,

It was nice to feel loved.
