“What does your name mean?” Finn asked me one night as he lay with his head on my chest.
“Mean?” I looked down at him and blinked sleepily. “It doesn’t mean anything.”
“Really?” Finn’s brows furrowed adorably.
“Yeah. My brothers all have ‘D’ names...’Donel,’ ‘Dalric’…”
Finn nodded against my chest.
“Why, what’s your name mean?”
He craned to look up at me. “’Fair.’”
“Ironic,” I smiled, looking at his dark hair and eyes.
His brow furrowed again and he sat up. “I know what ‘Dane’ means.”
I smiled, amused at the serious tone in his voice. “Oh, really?”
He nodded and looked down at me. “Strong,” he said and kissed me.
“Kind.” Another kiss.
“Loyal.” This time the kiss was longer.
He stared at me for so long that my breath caught in my lungs before leaning down and breathing against my lips “Mine.”
