Chapter 12: Efforts.

Chapter Text

Jimin almost didn’t go.

Almost...

"I said one and a half hour.” he muttered. Reminding himself of the promise he had made to Hobi. And he intended to keep it, because they meant something to him.

“I’ll go, smile, not embarrass myself and leave.”

The silence of his apartment didn’t argue.

The sky was filled with evening gold, slipping through the curtains and settling over his small space.

And Jimin stood in front of pile of clothes he had laid out. He wanted something that didn’t scream attention but still made him feel like...him.

His fingers lingering over a silky white top. Soft under his touch, cool against his skin. The crop cut was delicate enough to show small expanse of his curvy waist.

He tilted his head frowning slightly. Thinking about the way everyone would watch and judge him. Wondering if he could pull this off? If he can wear something so… exposed.

He let out a small sigh, and decided on it.

Feminine but strong, soft yet deliberate. It was him.

He put on the outfit slowly, not to crease it. Smoothing it on himself. After wearing the outfit, he stood infront of a dressing mirror.

"Too much?” he questioned tilting his head. Mirror didn’t answer.

It just showed him someone who looked like he belonged somewhere far more expensive than his reality allowed.

And that made his chest tighten.

He shook the nervous feeling away and quickly brushed his hair, a light touch of lip gloss to set it all.

As he was done, his phone buzzed underneath the mess.

As they reached 'The Velour Noir' Jimin was struck with riches of the world he had never witnessed before. His breath caught between excitement and something heavier.

In front of him was Hobi. Smiling and confident, as he was used to it all. Afterall, he was a small but important part of this world.

As they walked further inside, he felt like he was walking into a trap. On purpose.

“I’ll be okay.” he assured himself softly.

But he didn’t know that, this wasn’t going to be a simple day.

And one and a half hour?

It was not going to be enough.
