They don’t know much about Evan Buckley.
Well, that’s not true. They know a lot about him. His favorite food and the fact that he traveled the country before becoming a firefighter. They know he likes animals and research binges.
Except they don’t know where he’s from.
They know about his travels, but not where he went or how long he traveled for. They know nothing about his family; he could have no siblings or ten. The only relationships they think he has are the hookups that never seem to stop. They know nothing personal.
And that’s what Buck wants.

Eddie looks over the man's shoulder to see Buck unfold the letter, his face falling deeper into despair the further down the page he gets. “I am Lieutenant James Francis of the United States Navy SEALs. I have already spoken to your Chief, but I wanted to come here personally to explain the situation. As of this morning, Evan Buckley has been officially reinstated for active duty.”
