NOT ABANDONED. I'm just struggling with inspiration at the moment!
Anakin Skywalker never left Tatooine. Qui-Gon Jinn never died. Padme and Obi-Wan never met Anakin. The Clone Wars began anyway.
This is the story of a wildly Force sensitive Anakin who wants nothing to do with the Jedi and who is immediately assumed to be a Sith. This is the story of a slavery hating Padme who has to choose between the Republic and what's right. This is the story of a conflicted Obi-Wan who comes head to head with the Jedi Order's flaws and mistakes. This is the story of a living Qui-Gon Jinn who has to come to grips with his part in all that has gone wrong.
This is the story of how the Clone Wars end.
Rated M only because of violence and mature themes (noted in the tags or in chapter notes).

Summary
After losing his hand on Cloud City and discovering that Darth Vader is his father, Luke thinks things over and comes to the conclusion that a) Vader is actually on the Rebellion's side and just hasn't realized it yet, b) Vader needs his help, c) Vader needs to figure out that he and the Rebellion want the same things, and d) the best way to accomplish both b. and c. is to (obviously) surrender to Vader and refuse to leave him alone, trusting in the Power of Love to change Vader's ways.
Leia, Ahsoka, and the rest of Luke's friends in the Alliance disagree with this, but they can't get Luke to leave, and Vader can't kill them because it would destroy his new relationship with his son (it's not that Vader is attached to them at all -- no, no). Admiral Piett is forced to open up the unused guest quarters on the Executor as the Sleepover to Restore the Republic (And Maybe Save Darth Vader in the Process) drags on and grows to unreasonable proportions.

Summary
Anakin and Obi-Wan grew up together in the crèche. They were close in a way that bordered on attachment, until Anakin was chosen by a master... and Obi-Wan was not.
But no matter what, Obi-Wan would always be Anakin's friend.

Summary
Anakin is on the cusp of sixteen and his eyes swim with starlight. It isn’t his fault. He can’t help that The Force made him this way, birthed him to a human mother by necessity but claims him as her own in all else. He is human in only the loosest sense of the word, as if at any moment he could shake off the exterior holding all that Force inside and spread wings.
They want to collar him, but a leashed tiger is no more a housecat than the eye of a storm is safety.
