“You’re a healer,” Matt said dumbly, needlessly. It was obvious. It was obvious in the fact that he could talk at all without that stabbing, ripping sensation from his lung. It was obvious, but he had to say it. It was the truth, a truth that he had been very, very unaware of.
“Really?” Hawkeye responded with that same heavy, slurred, sarcastic voice. Matt could sense the eye roll even if he couldn’t see it. “I didn’t think you'd notice.”

Summary
Last time, Daredevil had looked like a piece of roadkill. When the man collapsed, Clint had been sure he was going to die. He couldn’t let that happen; he’d already let too many lives slip through his hands out of selfish self preservation.
This time, Clint wasn’t going to have a choice. The cards were in the devil’s hands now; all Clint could do was reap the consequences.

Summary
Fics & ficlets I’ve had running through my head and want to put out in the ether. Mostly Matt whump with a little silliness down the road (esp as I drift more into Avengers crossovers).
Mostly stand-alone, though others in the series can add context for character interactions as that builds. But think of it more as snapshots over time instead of a continuous narrative.
Current theory is that it's how I process my own sensitive senses and chronic pain. But I'm at the point I keep cycling these in my head, re-editing them, and it's becoming a problem for focus and sleep. I'm hoping that getting them out of my head will help me stop #@!&ing thinking about them finally.
I feel like I’ve read just about every DD fanfic on this site at this point, and I'm sometimes unsure if my ideas are actually original versus just an amalgamation of all I’ve read Frankensteined together. To that effect, if you notice something is super similar to something else you've read, then my brain probably looped it in to my own story, so please let me know in the comments so I can take a look to see if I remember it, then credit it under 'remix/inspired by' accordingly.

It's not nearly that simple and Matt knows it. There’s nothing simple about the way Frank’s been touching him, been hanging around after sex, showing up on his rooftop with a bottle of decent whiskey. Sure, they still fight and bicker outside of the bedroom – hell, Matt’s still got the bruising along his ribs from the last time he got the drop on Frank’s intended target – but Frank’s been treating him like he’s something bigger, something important.
Matt both loves it and hates it.

Barnes looked at Clint for permission to pound this guy in the head. Clint didn’t give it to him. He wasn’t worth it.
“You just wait, asshole,” he said instead. “We’ll see who’s laughin’ when Red’s warming this lap.”
Castle started laughing so hard he had to clutch at his stomach.
