Tashi disliked Patrick’s text, just because it made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. “I told him that yes, I do think he should bring more than three pairs of underwear for a week long trip, and that we are here.”
Art was quiet for a few seconds. And then, voice low – “surely he owns more than three pairs of underwear.”
Tashi rolled her eyes. It was a characteristic and yet unfounded worry. “We’ve seen him in more than three different pairs of underwear.”
“I would really like to stop thinking about Patrick’s underwear, actually.” Art’s uneasy fingers found the steering wheel again. Tashi’s kept tapping against her phone. What a pair, they were. Tashi couldn’t wait to add Patrick’s leg bounce into the equation and then spend three days straight trapped in a car with them all echoing off of one another.
