Summary
There isn't anything unusual about the day Bruce dies.
Clark wishes there had been. He wishes he'd known it was coming; he wishes he'd been ready and waiting to stop it before it happened at all.

Summary
Bruce stands with his mouth half-open, unable to answer as Clark towers over him. He wants to fight back, wants to point out all his flaws, wants Clark to understand that this is Bruce’s fault, but he can already see that Clark won’t let him.
“You’re a good man, Bruce Wayne,” Clark says. “I wish you could see that.”
Or, Clark dies and comes back to life. Somewhere in between, Bruce falls in love.

Summary
The red string of fate connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break.
No matter how hard Bane, Blake, and Barsad try to tear it apart.
