Glenn’s head was killing him. His vision was fuzzy and uneven in a way that had him stumbling as he staggered to his feet. The last thing he could remember was Negan bashing his head in over and over again, so the fact that he woke up at all felt like a miracle. He had been certain that he’d only ever see the others again in the afterlife.
It wasn’t until he staggered into his bathroom and fully took in his surroundings that he realized where he was. He was in his apartment. Atlanta was about to go up in flames, and the dead were just now beginning to walk. It was like the past year and a half hadn’t happened at all.
But the gnarly scar that crept down from his hairline and eclipsed half of his face told another story, as did the lack of vision in his left eye.
Glenn had died, and now he was back at the beginning of it all. He was being given a second chance. He was going to make his dying promise a reality. He was going to find Maggie again, find all the others again, and make things end differently this time.
