Summary
It's the next summer after the events of Weirdmageddon, and things are... surprisingly familiar in Gravity Falls. The Grunkles are back in town after months of adventuring, and Dipper Pines is beginning to realise that being a teenager doesn't provide all of the answers.
Meanwhile, the dark, forgotten history of Greasy's Diner is beginning to plague the mind of their youngest waitress, Pacifica Northwest, who's developed a conflict of her own - the idea of being a Northwest at all. To make things worse, the reappearance of Dipper Pines is beginning to distract her. Struggling with her own feelings, Pacifica Northwest begins to plummet into a whole new level of turmoil - a new, welcoming family and a new, comforting romance where she may well need it most.

This year is going to be good, Pacifica tells herself. Never mind that she knows like three people at Gravity Falls High School. Never mind that her parents have none-too-subtly hinted that the future of their family rests on her shoulders. Never mind that her favorite person in the world, the boy she thought she’d be facing her future alongside just completely ghosted her out of literally nowhere four months ago. Who cares?
Not her. Her hair is perfect, her heels are high, her lips are glossed and her confidence is at one hundred. She’s about to start the rest of her life. And nothing will hurt her, because there’s only one person who can and he’s six hundred miles away.

Summary
It is the summer of 2017, five years post-Weirdmageddon, and eighteen year old Pacifica Northwest, the former Princess of Gravity Falls, just wants to have a normal day in her anything but normal town.
No longer in contact with her toxic parents; Pacifica tries to leave her snobby-mean girl past behind as she works in Greasy’s, and takes it one day at a time enjoying her quiet, not so rich life while earning tips and trying to save up for community college and helping her pseudo-Grandma and mentor Lazy Susan prevent the diner from falling apart (literally).
Once the twins that changed her life are back in town for their last summer before starting college old feelings come back with old friends, feelings that make her remember what her and Dipper once had. He’s not as awkward and sweaty as he once was and he’s taller than her now. He has changed. So has Pacifica. And she wonders if a relationship with him is even worth pursuing with him having a bright future and a nice college education in California and her having a waitress salary in a small town in Oregon. The tables have turned and Pacifica wonders feels like she’s out of Dipper’s league.
But Dipper doesn’t seem to want to let her go.

Summary
Dipper and Mabel come back to Gravity Falls the summer before college. A lot of things are the same, a lot of things are different. They're teens now, practically grown ups and they still manage to get dragged into Gravity Fall's weirdness. It's just a little bit darker now. A little bit off.
Pacifica Northwest has a secret. More than one. How many? Not your problem, don't worry about it.
She and Dipper get off on the wrong foot, Mabel and Wendy watch in disapproval. It's going to be an exciting summer at least.
